What about swapping china and Japan's alliances? president China was in a civil war with communist and nationalist (ie soviet and German ) when Germany and soviets attacked Poland and Chinese war with Japanese both a coalition of polar opposition fighting a common foe. Would the Americans still go down the same path to cause pearl harbour? If so then that child throw them into either axis or there own side as with case soviets in our timeline
