After muddling my way through this match as my second hunter match, it’s cool to see the stages from guys who actually know what they are doing, lol. The trigger can video is really great and worth the effort to get. Thanks for putting these together!
This range complex is LR heaven. I've been competing, shooting, and running courses there for 10 years now. It never gets old. There are way more ranges than what's seen here. This is one of many different types of ranges there called "Over the Edge".
@@velayo_0317 You guys did really well for not having done a team match before. I've lost track of how many matches I've either competed in or RO'd across the US and Europe, and you really get to see the difference in Teamwork quality as an RO. The Top-level teams and shooters manage stages and their TGT detection and engagement sequences so differently than the lower-placing competitors, that it feels like being in another place at another event. Due to being on the clock, stage management, communication, and Therblig efficiency are every bit as critical as your LR shooting and spotting skills. If you film yourselves like this, then AAR everything, build an improved Therblig plan, you can cut any inefficiencies out and rehearse your improved game for the next match. Excellent series so far. The irony of being a wisconsinite living in utah, and your t-shirt and you shooting in utah made me smile. Great shooting gentlemen!
It's quite interesting to watch as both of you move toward having the same mindset. Phil seems to be a little better at balancing out the information & details in the beginning, but Sam starts to catch up towards the end. It's always a pleasure to watch Phil run that bolt like greased lightning w/barely any movement of the reticle. Thanks fella's,for putting these videos out for us to watch & learn from
Thanks for sharing these. I have really been looking forward to shooting a Hunter match, and finally realized that I should find videos of some. I hate to say it, but this is not what I expected or what the "NRL-Hunter, what to expect" videos show. I wanted to shoot with my son. But between what these stages present, what NRL-Hunter claims is "normal", and what I now see while dissecting the rules, I don't think it is viable. Thanks for sharing. I probably can't participate in the manner that I had planned, but it is good to know that before jumping in blind.
I live in Price. Just for the last few years. Is this the North Springs shooting range? I've been there a few times but was unaware of these spots that you are shooting. Amazing range. Great video guys!
Love how you display the distance to the targets on your videos. Please keep up the good work. What camera are you using on your rifles? The Trigger Cam 2.1 ?
Another great video. I RO'd for a match and saw where one guy would start finding targets while the second guy would get behind the gun, make note of the first target, then shoot. You guys found all targets and made notes first, then Ryan started shooting. Is that based on experience or your style? What I saw while RO'ing seemed like the best approach, but there could be a lot of flaws in what I saw. Thanks!!
No eye protection required? They were required at the Grand Slam. Question on the spotter giving distances. Since you appear to be back four or five yards, are you subtracting those yards in your head before saying them out loud to your partner?
@@samlatone1763 looks like someone can't tell the difference between a critique and a question. Not saying I'm on his level but on the front range the wind regularly hits 15+ with gusts over 20. Hitting something that's maybe 3-4" wide isn't that hard at that range.

Impressive! Beautiful to listen to your communication. Watching you two perform gets me so amped. Awesome work!!
Great communication guys and quality shooting. Awesome.
Woohoo. Great shooting by you two and great team communication. Learning allot from these videos
Very cool. The series is really interesting. Thanks for sharing.
I’m loving these NRLs vids. Great work. I want to shoot NRL hunter next year and these vids are perfect. Keep ‘em coming. Thank you guys.
This is great footage. Thank you guys. Great shooter spotter comms.
So cool. Thanks guys!
This was awesome to watch! Great teamwork!

Amazing shooters. Next episode!!
Great insights.. I'm looking forward to the next episode.
This looks fun! Appreciate the content please keep up the great work!
Great video guys thanks for sharing this experience. As a hunter this looks like it would be great. Practice. Keep ‘em coming.
Damn that gopher was small! Awesome video and very informative.
Love watching the pro's do their thing. Nice shooting.

Great shooting fellas 👍.
Cant wait for Episode 3 😍
I just re-watched the first episode, was wondering where 2 was haha! Will definitely be competing next year!
I love these matches but need do one with 1moa cold bore shots
You guys made it look easy with plenty of time on the clock. I was surprised that the targets were labeled.
That’s some spicy 🌶️ shooting!
I continue to be amazed at how the crosshair returns very close to the aiming point when Phillip is shooting.
What bipod are you guys using?
Thanks for sharing these.

Agree, this is still too much "sniper wannabee". Bring a 12 year old kid with, they will only shoot one tournament and never return.
Great work boys, enjoying these, keep em up!

Any plans on the rest of the episodes?
Would love to know more about your camera set up that is recording you! Lens and camera body? Running ND filters?
hi sir philip, what binoculars are you using in that match. thank you
What scope do you have
Nice. Just out of curiosity, what barrel contour do you run? Thanks!
These are just the CF sendero contours from PROOF!
@@velayo_0317 Appreciate it. Thanks again! 🇺🇸
What tripod are you using?
Hi, how do you record your videos through your scope? And what is the equipment?
Why do you have to keep contact with the tri pod?
What rifles/caliber? Thanks
I'm running a 6.5x47 and Ryan ran a 6.5 CM. We both ran 140 ELDMs at the same speed. Custom rifles.
@@velayo_0317 I may have 1 of your brass
All video I am looking nice video nice saniper is warlod
very funny that phil doesnt listen to a single thing the spotter says.
@robbygoode4299 -- I noticed that too.
How wide are those Gopher targets? Worrying about wind @235 and in with a 6.5CM? You can't be serious.
You’d be surprised by the amount of people that missed them suckers at the match because they thought that too.

Dude just cleaned the stage with time to spare and you’re going to critique his methods?
