Im from Ohio and i visited Breckenridge in 2020. By far the most beautiful place i have ever been to. If i were to start a new life somewhere other than Ohio it would be here.
Santa Claus visits Breck to play footsies with all the reindeer during vacation time he's a local fisherman aswell. Awesome place thanks for the video...
Pretty much anytime in the summer is a good time for wildflower in the Rockies. But the first spring bloom in late April to early May during the snow melt. And again in late summer -- maybe mid/late Sept are my favorite. The slopes (without snow) are usually ablaze with paintbrush wildflowers as you go up the lift. It's pretty cool.
Will be visiting in 2 weeks for my birthday trip. Is the town truly walkable. We don't plan on renting a car and will be staying in an Airbnb. We will be eating dinner out most nights. Well it become burdensome to walk this every night to eat?
You should be able to get around Breck pretty easily without a car. They do have plenty of shuttles and busses that move around that city to help people get where they wanna go. But if you are strictly walking and not doing any transit, you should still be fine. You obv won't be able to walk from one side of the city to the other very easily, but if you are in or near the town center, most business of interest or places you might want to go should be no more than 15-20 min walk.
@@tgordon8136 We haven't done any dog sledding in the Breck area (did it in Steamboat Springs) but we did do book a snow mobile tour thru breckenridgesnowmobiling.com

Hiking in the summer is perfect. Some of the trails are busier during this season but it's still really nice. We haven't stayed at any hostels but we feel that it is worth the stay in some of the hotels. 👍 Public transit is very easy and really nice in Breck! Hope this helps.
No. It's not. Abbreviations are common in the English language. There are plenty of cities in CO (look another shortened version of the word Colorado) that go by shorter names than their given. Colorado Springs - CoS or The Springs. Or FoCo for Fort Collins. Quit being a pretentious internet troll.
Just be careful you don't forget to add time to your car wherever you park. They charge you to park anywhere and if you're late, they give you a stupidly large fine. Breckenridge treats tourists like sh*t. They literally wouldn't be around without tourists. Other towns in the area don't charge you an arm and a leg to park places, are cheaper, and nicer. Don't recommend Breckenridge to anyone anymore.

Breck is such a cool small town. I love all the little Victorian buildings and overall feel of the place. It feels like a cozy mountain town.
Is it truly a walkable town? We're booked to go there in February and don't plan on renting a car.
Visiting colorado from New Mexico and seen Breckenridge is beautiful and so appealing. Great place to stop and check out.
Yes, very true. Breckenridge is one of my favorite mountain towns in the state! Thanks for watching.
Thinking about coming out here for 1st Colorado vacation
Yes, Breck is so beautiful in the summer and makes a great vacation spot! Hope you can make it out here.

A free gondola? That's rare
Yes, there are a few in Colorado. The one in Breckenridge isn't the only one but it's a must-visit!
Great info, just booked our first trip to Break, staying at the Valdoro Lodge this July.
Oh how fun!! Yes, summer is a great time to visit Breck 🤩
Thanks Bro for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you!!
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video!
Please do a video over Vail!
Great idea, we will add this to our list! 👍

@@HashtagColoradoLife Thank you very much, sound like best time mid August to September?
Yes, that is also a great time to see the wildflowers before they go away for the winter season.
Is this where the troll currently is or did it get moved from here?
It's still here in Breck! We have another entire video about visiting the Troll if you want to learn more. 👍

Is there any barbecue area near blue river ?
I would be shocked if there wasn't a BBQ joint in Breck or Frisco. But BBQ isn't anything I have seeked out first hand in that area.
hi! i just wanna say i live in breck, adn this is accurte!! breckinridge is most pretty in fall in my opinion ")

How are the hikes in the summer? Is it worth it to stay in one of the cheaper hostels? Is public transportation easily available?

can you take those free gondola rides in winter?
Yes! It'll still takes you to Peak 8 for free. Beyond that requires a lift ticket tho. It is much more busy in the winter.. for obvious reasons.
Is the gondola dog friendly ?
It sure is!!
I drove 1/6th of the way across the country in the wrong direction and got here.
Wow. What was the dead giveaway you were heading the wrong way? Suddenly, mountains?
