I think it'd work best as a Studio Ghibli style animation. Britannia has always been a bit of a Wonderland, a U-Topia that couldn't easily be rendered with live action scenes.

With this glorious theme, its an awful pity the Fellowship turned out to be rotten. It was so obvious from the first mention of them that they were totally evil.
