Thank you so much! I just bought a 10gal as a hospital tank but it's already well cycled with a dozen critters that will eventually go into my 40. This really eased the anxiety I've had all day!
Hi my new friend...very nice job for your tank in new apartment...thanks for sharing i have aquarium channel and have joined and like your channel...keep in touch have a nice day. Greetings from Italy. Marco
I have to move 3 large, fully aquascaped aquariums from QLD to VIC (which is a 5 day drive) and I can already tell it's gonna be hellish haha. My biggest worry is having to rescape the tanks and the survivability of my 3 bettas during the 5 day drive.
Hello so Ima move my 55 from my bedroom to my living room, so when u mention about keeping the media wet .. I have a HOb filter, so I should put the whole filter in a bucket of my current tank water or only the catridge?
LIFG, a solution to the water change issue may lie back at the orange bucket store. 30(or 39) gallon heavy duty trash cans matched to their attachable wheels (grey can, black wheel set) allow you to fill one can with new water, treat it and position it near the tank. A second can allows you to remove the old water. Harbor Freight makes submersible pumps of different sizes, I use the second smallest, these can be plugged into a foot switch, also supplied by HF, which allows you to turn on and off the pump when you're ready- no spillage or spraying that new TV- a clear hose attached to the pump moves the water into the tank. To remove old water just siphon it into the other trash can. Move the pump from one can to the other to dispose of the old tank water. It's been a good system for me who, also has water access challenges.
I know I'm a bit late (BY 2 YEARS)and Im moving my fish to a new house. The drive is 12 HOURS! Also the roads aren't exactly straight and smooth. What is your advice?
Never too late for me! I recommend using a batter power air pump with an air stone to keep oxygen in the water and putting the filter media in with the fish. Don’t make the water level too high in the container/bucket or the water will go all over the place! Although 12 hours is a long drive, the fish should be fine. What type of fish? How many?
Thanks man, Ive been in my new apartment for a month now and we're finally moving the 25g tank over (which my brother has kindly been taking care of in my absence) and Im TERRIFIED of moving it so Ive been putting it off for this long X( But this should help, I have a better idea of how to tackle it now!
This video is full of useful tips, but what would you do for a sponge filter? I don't have any filter media. Also, I'm just going to move my betta and some plants for 3 hours, do I need an airstone (or oxygen tablets)? And uhh I'm going to move my tank on a train, in a cooler. Is there any tips for that?
Thank you this really helps! Also I love your wolf fish he’s so cute anyways I was wondering if you need to clean the bins or what you used to clean it before putting the fish in there
Thank you! The Red Wolf Fish is an awesome fish! You should need to clean the bins with a cleaner or anything, maybe just wipe it down with a towel and some water.
What and how many fish are in the 29 Gallon here? i have a 33 and am always being told im overstocked (forums/ Aquadvisor) but yours looks like more and bigger fish

Adam Davi Now I just need to know where to put 2 heavy duty trash cans 😂😂
I’m planning on moving a couple fish out of state one of them is a larger ghost knife. Do you think I need to have an air stone? It’s a 2 hour ride.
An airstone wouldn’t hurt the fish and can only help. I would add one just to be on the safe side. Good luck! 👍🏼
