I'm in this video. The skinny white guy with the white beanie. I went by Mr. Sinister back then. And although Insane Poetry wasn't around in 87, Cyco was rapping in the early 80s and was even a dj at the famous KDAY in Los Angeles under the name Arabian Knight. Glad to still call him a friend.
Bill Mapes dope homie, trying to get a copy of the grim reality cd, gotta give props to the pioneers of the horrorcore sound that guys like ICP,NECRO, TWIZTID have made their own. you guys should have gotten more credit than you did. outta here, peace.
I usta listen to this cassette in my 78’ Grand Prix. Grim Reality is one of many classics back in the day. This was right up there with Gangsta Nip, Ghetto Boys,Brother Lynch Hung,The Terrorist & many other Horror Core Rappers. This is real Hip Hop at its finest🤩😎🎃
Im a metalhead but I remember an old VHS tape called Facez Of Death 2000. At the end of the shockumental there was this vid and i really liked so much. This is a very good hip hop song to every open minded metalhead!!!
Me acabo de acordar de este tremendo temazo de la infancia!! aguante las caras de la muerte locoh, conocí a estos capos por ese mítico VHS. btw: Cyco was in beast mode in grim reality! dope album fosho.
this was featured on faces of death 2000 DVD. In the German Version the speaker said "and now a rap wich only can create a sick brain" lol. The whole DVD Shows scenes of gruesome death and in the background there where instrumental beats from the blacc plague Album.
got a copy of this song off of BEST OF INSANE POETRY 20 YEARS OF MADNESS CD.tried to get GRIM REALITY but it's hard to grab a copy unless you can find 1 used. oh well, got the song regardless. peace and outta here.
Great song, great video! Can anybody help me out with finding the lyrics to this song and the whole album "Grim Reality"? As a non native English speaker I have my problems understanding the words they are rapping.
Sorry to disappoint but I have this album on cassette that i found at a used music store in my city. I'd sell it but i just bought it not too long ago maybe in the future? :) thanks for the improved vid btws
Used to, but not much any more. Doesn't mean anything if I don't know who tonez is. Maybe I just don't remember dude. Don't remember Insane Poetry's 1st record, but I'm sure you could research it & that ESHAM didn't come out in the 80's. He must've been young as hell in the early 80's, which I doubt he had demos.
Lol you sir obviously heard a different song than what just played. But the ear hears what it wants so i cant fault you on that. My guess is the scratch at the end of every bar you heard made the connection
Who's TONEZ? This is not Insane Poetry's 1st record. They're 1st record came out before this & that's exactly what it was (a record). What did ESHAM have out in '89?
This was IPs first release, before this they had a single called Armed and Dangerous with Slow and Ill on the flip side, under the group name His Majesti.
If you dont who TONEZ is you dont like horrorcore. Eshame had Bommin Words from Hell out in 888 and the second one in 89. And whats insane poetry first record then? And if were counting Eps and Demos esham and tonez go all the way back to the early 80s.

As a devout "Metalhead" for many years, I don't care for much hip-hop, but I owned this CD. So creative and intelligent.

@@Jarlaxxle1 This was to get @ someone about how they said Esham came out in the 80's n it was IP who had music out (that single)
REAL FUNKKEEEE SHIT
The question seems somewhat inncolcated, somewhat rhetorical in a matter of eggs in basket
