The problem is that the Oilers are basically the Maple leafs, just switching Matthews, Nylander and Marner for McDavid, Nuge and Draisaitl. The Oilers top 3 have so much more heart than the Leafs and this is coming from a lifelong leafs fan lol the rest of the lineups are pretty much the same, spotty defense and a goalie who is not up to par against the opposing team. If Toronto had the Oilers top 3 they'd be likely in the finals too. Florida scored 3 goals, not 1. Oettinger was far from exhausted. Florida has 16 takeaways vs Oilers 4, they out hit the Oilers 65-34. They blocked 12 shots to the Oilers 5. The only thing that Edm did was outshoot Florida, Edmonton failed in every other facet of the game except shots on goal.

My team is out, Bob saved the Panthers arses, If the Panthers play their game , its lights out for the Oilers. The Panthers took to many Penalties, breakaways and just not how they played against BOS and Rags. They need to keep out of the penalty box and tighten up the D like they did previous rounds. Both teams will adjust but the Panthers are relentless, big and can shut you down, too boot they have a goalie that's peaked at the right time.

I've never seen a goalie have such an up and down career. Most hall of fame goalies have been great throughout their careers,but Bob has had years he's been fantastic, and years he's been very poor. Fleury might be the closest I've seen.

My team is out, Bob saved the Panthers arses, If the Panthers play their game , its lights out for the Oilers. The Panthers took to many Penalties, breakaways and just not how they played against BOS and Rags. They need to keep out of the penalty box and tighten up the D like they did previous rounds. Both teams will adjust but the Panthers are relentless, big and can shut you down, too boot they have a goalie that's peaked at the right time.
mcdavid is amazing don't get me wrong. But his play was a little predictable flying down the middle of the ice.
The reality is Team Oilers is better that Florida team , it was their goalie who shut them out. But see next game!
You do realize that Florida didn't play like they normally do, it was a down game with the exception of Sergei "The Machine" Bobrovsky right? Sorry but if this series goes long, the Oiler stand no chance as they will all be beat up by game 6 and 7. 63 to 35 hits alone in game 1.

I am glad Colorado and the Stars are out, to me it doesn't matter who wins although Oilers already have cups from the past and FLA is who i am rooting for but then again, McDavid should get at least 1 cup before he retires. I just hope for a good series, 5 game in favor of FLA or a sweep.
I've never seen a goalie have such an up and down career. Most hall of fame goalies have been great throughout their careers,but Bob has had years he's been fantastic, and years he's been very poor.
Fleury might be the closest I've seen.
