I like this workflow. Vocalign is great but I also dislike the phase artefacts, to the point that I hardly ever use it and try to get the doubles well recorded in the first place. This changes everything.
hm, interesting, I actually loved the effect of auto align without vocal align. Like phase align itself gives a great effect as doesn't not take the space created by stacked vocals time shifting. By the end of the day reverb is just a time shift.
This is fucking nuts! Thank you!!! I was really hoping for a solution and this is exactly the thing i looked for! Many greetings from germany! I will send you a gold plaque when I get successful
I think of vocalign as the "hammer" and autoalign post as the detailed laser... You can manually align your doubles/ harms and then use autoalign post or you can use vocalign to align pretty well, then throw auto align on to dial it in with the phase.
Radium Records, interesting. I am still looking for a plugin that let me align vocal with the piano accompaniment, right now I have to do it manually and it will save me hours if I can do most of it automatically. Do you know what plugin could help? Thanks again.
I recorded a vocal track on logic with 2 mics (left & right) since I wanted the best of the 2 mics combined. However I found it phasing. Will this plugin help fix it?
I used vocalign before using auto align, but it seemed to create more phase issues. Maybe it’s because I’m on the older version? It’s just called Auto Align, not Auto Align Post. Maybe that’s why? What are your thoughts
I answered my own question with a Google search lol. Since I’m using it on vocal dubs the phase misalignment varies dramatically throughout the tracks and the original Auto Align doesn’t account for changes in phase. It just averages it out and moves the whole track over. Looks like I’ll need an upgrade lol.
Couldn't you also just phase flip which ever take is out of phase? I can see the wave audio files there on your DAW, and it looks like you could just click the phase button (looks like a circle with a line through it usually) that comes on almost every EQ or channel strip ever. Why buy an expensive plugin for something that is free?
Flipping the phase does not solve issues where the signals are not exactly 180 degrees out of phase with each other. It's a good question though... Keep asking!
Other thing that this plugin does is align for time phase issues when you have a moving target... Ie, 2 mics or more were used on a single source that was moving and the phase issues are not the same throughout the signal.
@@RadiumRecordsHollywood its giving me error when I open it. Does it automatically select both tracks (harmony + main vocals) . ? I put it on vocals 1 (main vx) and just below I have harmony track . It's says there are no instances....
I can't understand why do the test on a vocal like this, use it on a bass and a kick or whatever that have lots of bass, sub, mid-low... phasing in the low is a mistake, phasing in the high is an effect.
Want a phasing effect on the high? Use a phaser and do it intentionally. Is it that you don't understand or is it that you wanted to tell us what you think?..

Absolutely! Spend most your time NOT having to use these tools... But when I'm mixing a clients project, I don't get to just re-record them.
thank you for review!

this a gem
Hope it’s truly helpful
Wow great plugin and video!
Thanks dude!!
Thanks
Cheers!
Great 👍 plugin..
One of the best man...
This is sick I did manually and took forever. Resent you my rap vocals for you to mix as the other one expired
Getting everything to be in phase by doing it manually is damn near impossible!
Radium Records yes it was so I never used to double vocals cause I got pissed off
@@MixedByS 😂
Could you use the normal Auto Align plug in for this? Like the same plug in you normally use on drums
Sure! Just takes a lot more time and isn’t as accurate imh
Can you align it perfectly with just auto align post 2 or do you need also vocalign? I m wondering which one should i buy :)
