I am 49 now in 2020 and this was the best time of my life and I would still dance to this today no problem, quality like this will not happen ever again

In my badly misspent youth After family break up i was with dad who had drink problems up in scotland and living with my mum in england when he and i fell out. One night i ran away determined to hitchike all ghe way from scotland to england at 1am. £7 on me 1992 age 16. Walked 6 miles to busier road interchange area and got a coffe from a late petrol station in KINCARDINE SCOTLAND. stood near the exit back on too the road again thumbing for lifts south. This red escort xr3i pulled over and i got in. Heading an hour south. Passenger let me in the back past his seat and proceeded to smoke a massive 8/9 inch long joint of resin hash. I was 16 and only ever had a few puffs of blaw as the scots lads called it. He offered it round and i got stomed for first real time. Then the lad put a Rezerection tape on with this tune on and when it came on i was sold on house music and later techno for life. And a weed smoker daily from that day 31yrs ago
This is what was known as Hardcore/Rave at the time (Typically from the late 80's early 90's) . Check out labels such as Re-enforced, Production House, XL Recordings, Labello Blanco, Moving Shadow... those should lead you in the right direction, good luck in your quest in finding old skool tunes

Yeah I live Lived in the north west since 1997 so missed out on the Blackburn raves but I kniw many people who went to them / them and the thhunderdome in Manchester and one other place in south Manchester I cant think of the name of - - but they all seem to say fuck the hacienda it was all hype either hadn’t been or went once and thought it was overrated. And they never touched hardcore because the Salford bouncers didn’t like it - or is that a myth?
