Kelly was on form that day with his power wheelies etc , people can be over the top in their praise of Kelly but I watched him from 1978 ,at Hull and after some horrendous injuries at Hackney he became a truly world class rider who on his day could beat anyone. and was always great value on the track and In the bar....
My boys were "the bees'' ... it never stops amazing me where all the dpeedway fans disappeared too.. coventry, kings lynn, leicester, b'ham, peterborough and all the others used to be packed, now they are either gone💀 or only have a hand full of fans now.. 😢😢😢 R.I.P. british speedway😢😢😢

Not too often that you saw Ivan Mauger blown away like that. But, by 1982 The Galloping Mauger was not the force of old.
If one reads Eric Boocks book, he says Kelly Moran could have been world champion but he fooled around too much.
Just take a moment to remember all of these riders have now passed away...a sobering thought...
