yup, Gundam 00 movie is the First and Only time they ever introduced aliens in a Gundam story. Although Gumdam 00 TV series was about political wars, towards the ends of the show, they hint that the wars were preparation for an upcoming first encounter. I like that ELS wasn't just usual types of aliens you often see in anime or sci-fi, but a very different kind of aliens, some extraterrestrial sentient substance. The movie has an epic and long final battle between large Earth military forces and ELS. Also check out this related video titled "Gundam 00 Movie: Alleujah vs. the ELS"

The Gadelaza and all of the mobile suits and mobile armors of the earth forces either use conventional power sources or a Tau GN drive. a Tau GN drive is a GN drive that while has amazing output and operational time are not perpetual engines, the Tau GN drives have to be recharged every so often. The Gadelaza uses a total of 6 Tau GN drives, each set up as a pair of series, with an additional back up Tau GN drive. At time 0:15 you saw the Gadelaza deploy its large GN fangs (the equivalent of funnels), each of those having its own Tau GN drive and each large GN fang holds smaller GN fangs, each one holding 10 smaller GN fangs. In total there is 14 large GN fangs on a fully loaded Gadelaza, for a total of 21 Tau GN drives for a single pilot to control and 140 smaller GN fangs all swarming shooting and ramming through the enemy. Then it has all of its other weapons like the GN Vulcans on its arms, the massive GN Blaster that was used on the other battleships, and the hundreds of missiles it has, this thing holds the power of a small fleet with a full complement of mobile suits. In the end though it was overwhelmed by the ELS...

The ELS are pretty much what if the Borg from Star Trek assimilated the T-1000 from Terminator 2. They can absorb you once they touch you, AND turn into what they've absorbed. It didn't happen here, but in the manga they make ELS version's of the 00 Raiser which was getting absorbed in this clip.
@@WadeWadeReacts technically the ELS qant, only seen for a couple of seconds idling, and that it is usually the op secret unit in gundam games, is placed among the top three. since top three is always interchangeable. Well it has quantum teleportation. as well as teleporting in as many ELS bits as he wants.
