Funny story related to your comment about checking through boxes thoroughly... years ago when I was buying storage units, I came into possession of the most gigantic storage tub you've ever seen, red and green and about 6 ft long, completely full of Christmas crap (nope, I do not be a Christmas fan). I didn't want to deal with it, so I shoved it into my storage unit, where it sat for the better part of 10 years until I FINALLY decided to just donate it all. I had to go through it and transfer the contents to smaller containers because the tub was too big to even fit in my car. At the very bottom of the tub I discovered a sterling silver Tiffany bracelet, which I ended up selling for over $100. I bet whoever packed up that tub wondered what happened to her Tiffany bracelet for a good long time afterwards......
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter Right? The funny thing is that if the tote had been smaller I probably would have just dropped the whole thing off at the donation center! Lesson learned!
Many years ago we received an order from a tree nursery that was to go to someone with the same name as my husband. When contacted, they told us to keep the order. Many of the trees are alive today. We never researched the value of the trees but I am quite sure it was in the hundreds of dollars. Quite a bonus for our little orchard!
Oh Dominic this was a super entertaining video - of course I love learning what sells and what to look for, the crazy free maple candy, but my favorite was how you figured out the Norton name was connected to your friend Jeff 💗💗 Hi Ms Daisykins 😻 and hi Pinkykins 🐟
I worked at Amazon, in Arizona, and saw errors like that all the time. Especially this time of year when they have mostly seasonal workers picking orders. My guess is the picker that was pulling your order went to the shelf that held the bundle of boxes. The box of candy was also on the shelf. They scanned the bar code on the bottom of the candy box when they saw 9x6x6 on it. They didn’t pay attention to the item name. The error should have been caught at the packing station when it weighed more than it should have
Best mistake ever with Amazon! I do the opposite - use my amazon points for household items and purchase my supplies because the supplies are a write off. So many great sales!! Red shoes lol. You crack me up Dom.
Another great vid Dom! Love the comics stuff. Just wondering if you could do a vid someday on how you deal with items that don't sell and pile up; how you make space, how you get rid of them, what you do with the profits from your wins etc. That's probably multiple videos but as someone who has lots of stuff piling up I'd like to know! Thanks
Good questions. I have addressed this in scattered videos but basically you either have to wait it out, lower the process, or combine non-selling items with others to make a combo deal. You can also try cross listing on other platforms. Add more storage space to make spaces such as shelves, a shed, and reorganizing. I take half of my profits each year and pay myself so I can pay off debts (recently paid off my mortgage; before that paid off grad school debt) and putting kids through college.
Last year before Christmas we ordered gifts from an upscale handbag company. Parts of our order was missing but they included a handbag worth $250. That wasn’t on the shipping invoice. Yes, I kept it because I’m disabled and trying to send it back was impossible.

Another great vid! When my kids were young, I ordered a Winnie The Pooh treehouse as a Xmas present. I paid for one but two were delivered. The extra one sold on EBay and paid for the first one plus some profit.
Great vid! Love the old magazines. My wife ordered an Ott LIGHT BULB and they sent her a complete Ott LAMP, but she had to return the lamp. Awesome sales on the comic stuff. Keep up the great work!
I had the post office make a mistake, and they ended up mistaking my box number for another, and they gave me Louis Vuitton bag. I ended up returning it because I knew what they went for. Heard after that the person who bought it was panicked because it went missing. Why I insure anything that's expensive that I ship out
My guess with Amazon package (from working different retail) is maybe who inventoried the box of maple scanned the barcode for the 9x9x6 box instead the maple barcode so when your order came in that's where they were directed to go pick from. Just my 5 cents =]
It had to be that you bought the auto magazines that belonged to the grandfather of the man you know. ✨️ I'm wondering if the person who ordered the maple syrup candies received your boxes.🤭 My favourite items are the black cat and the Yankee Christmas candle.❣️

Oh yeah, my aunt ordered something small or just 1 or 2 items from DollsKill and this HUGE box arrived, massive. She called them and what happened was that somehow this person’s shipping label didn’t get on her box, and because she lived in NY and we live in HI, she was able to call to fix it an entire week before us. So they said to just keep the stuff and my aunt’s actual order will be sent. We opened it and were like, whoa. How much did this cost? I took two long sleeve printed shirts which were $40 each, a $20 crop top, a $70 baby blue faux fur sm/med sized duffel bag, my aunt kept the same one but in pink, there were about 8 tank tops, several more shirts, jackets, a coat… idk how much this person spent but it must’ve been hundreds. I told her I could sell some of those tank tops, one with rhinestones script spelled “mámí” and another one “baby gurl” or something that made me question how old this girl was.
