DT, One topic that I am not familiar with is radio apps or even listening to music online. I am probably 15 years behind on all that. I have installed radiotray on my LXQt install, and it seems to work, but I have not found any station that really floats my boat. I have Clementine, but don't know how to use the radio functionality, and so far the only sound I have managed to find using Clementine is to play the sound of rain in the background. I installed something called "qtradio" which would be okay, but I can't seem to figure out how to find a station. I guess I need some kind of antenna hooked up to my motherboard ?? For some reason, LXQt put qtradio under the category "Other," and radiotray in the "Sound and Video" category below Clementine. I think the only other radio app offered is gnuradio 3.7, or maybe an xfce radio, but I assume those would bring in lots of dependencies. I have not yet tried those. I assume everybody out there uses Spotify, but I have never tried it.
Yaourt is a frontend to pacman. Yaourt is nice if you need to install AUR packages because it automates the process of downloading, building, making and installing a package with pkgbuild files. Whether you want to use pacman or yaourt is up to you. No right answer or wrong answer.

None come to mind right away except Chakra, which is using pacman right now but they are in the process of creating their own unique package manager. Chakra isn't 100% compatible with Arch though so it makes sense for them to create their own package manager I guess.
for me, pacman commands are hard to understand because I see that Ss S Rs does not sound like natural. Is there any other way to perform those commands with easier ubderstandable words or letters ? it is easier to remember to say pacman -udpate. upgrade. install. uninstall. or something like this ?

I know your comment is fairly old, but anyways: Pacman has a list of mirrors that it tries to get a package from one by one, until one works (/etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist usually). The first one might be badly configured or there is no longer a repo there. Just remove it and you're good. You can also generate an up-to-date mirrorlist using e.g. various online tools or reflector. Doing this every few months might sometimes even speed up your download, if it's not capped by your own connection.

I want to install postgres 12 on Vagrant Archlinux. When i run "sudo pacman -Ss postgres" it installs the latest version that is version 13. How can I downgrade the postgres version 13 to version 12 or how to download specifically the version 12?
I normally do not pay much attention to Distrowatch ratings. There are too many factors to say whether #4 is more popular than #7. However, I think one could say that being # 1 is cool and being below # 40 must be frustrating. For 2018, Manjaro has actually been downloaded more often than Linux Mint. But that does not mean Manjaro is more popular than Mint. It might mean that Mint users are so happy that they just updated or upgraded and did not need to download a new iso. Or it could mean Manjaro broke more often, and so users needed to download a new iso. The distro I use is somewhere around # 70, which leads me to believe all the distros in the top 100 must be pretty good. Korora is at # 97 and I liked it. But Korora has no plans for a Korora 27 which is probably why nobody is downloading it. Only reason Mageia is so low is that their model is not to release any isos until they are perfectly happy. Mageia 6 is pretty good, and I am certain Mageia 7 is going to be one of the best distros ever ( in January 2019 ?? ). It seems SparkyLinux is underrated, but the competion ( if you want to call it that ) is fierce. So many good distros, and so little time to use them all. I do not pay much attention to distros that are below the Top 100 ( meaning # 207 or # 299, etc ), but I do know there are some good ones way down there.

Why are you using sudo to query? Root isn't needed to list packages. Bad DT, no cookie for you. Also in .bashrc add : alias pacorph='sudo pacman -Rns $(pacman -Qtdq)' If you edit /etc/pacman.conf you can also enable colors for easier searching. Just uncomment "Color" on line 34. I wish you had also touched on makepkg, which is what makes pacman so powerful. It's a shame you didn't but then again that's not something most people would be willing to use even if it gives you gentoo level package customization.

Although highly unrecomended by the arch wiki, there is a port of dpkg to arch last time I checked.

Pacaur > Yaourt. It's not recommended to use Yaourt as it's slow and buggy.

Hard to say what the issue is. Try running pacman -Syy, then run pacman -Syu.
