Actually, I think that's intentional, because back during the early days of Mario, he and Luigi used to have overalls that matched their hat colors rather than the blue overalls they have today. The two examples that come to mind are the Super Mario All Stars version of the original Super Mario Bros. + Lost Levels, and the old animated Mario cartoons (Super Show, Mario World, and Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3). In all of those cases, Mario and Luigi were depicted as having the red and green overalls respectively, and the artist is most likely referencing that particular era with the "incorrect" colors.
@@Bub.tv21 And? It's still an intentional design choice by the artist made as a reference to the early days of Mario, which the art style is clearly emulating. It doesn't matter if it's not accurate to the modern design, because that's not what the artist is going for.
