I've never watched a single video from this channel, and I generally don't watch videos about Microsoft products. So why on Earth was this recommended to me the day it was released?
43 likes 166 dislikes now. I bet we're going to eventually get 90% dislikes ratio once the microsoft employees liking the video become an irrelevant minority.
People can call themselves whatever they want, but don't require me to call them what I consider an untruth. A person should not be required to state something considered untrue, a lie... just because another person believes something. This requirement shows no respect for the personal belief system of someone who believes "gender" remains the same definition it has been for thousands of years. How a person feels about their gender or sex is something else, and so should have its own term to properly express this. A man can feel feminine or the opposite, but these people hold the same DNA coding regardless. It's how they feel about themselves that is different. So create a category and words to describe that. Don't go stealing the fixed definitions already recorded in dictionaries and medical literature in numbers beyond counting.
@@quoudten Dude, I ain't using FreeBSD. But what else is there to Windows, Linux, FreeBSD? Maybe XTree Gold over DOS? Maybe Amiga Workbench? Maybe TempleOS? I can't think of another tangible operating system. Can you?

how about a slack tool that “protects” both the reader and the writer from this? Say you don’t believe in non-binary pro-nouns then all sentences are preprocessed to change any non-binary pronouns to traditional ones and vice-versa for someone who believes in non-binary pronouns. that way you’re also being inclusive for the people that don’t subscribe to this new ideology.
It makes sense why this would get views, the title is very clickable. Most people have strong opinions on the word "pronoun". I appreciate the deep research most likely done for adding pronoun sharing in Microsoft Teams. With that said, screw big companies.
You would go out of your way to spend money based on a video from a competitor and your dislike towards it without a prior incentive to do so? Could have not spent anything at all and went about your day. Sounds like you played yourself.
They're not forcing any culture on you. It's a research on the culture, and that since it exists, it aims to help those people keep what they want private and what they want public. Nobody is asking you to adhere by this. The research video literally showed such people already exist. I don't see anything wrong in trying to make them feel comfortable.
It's a stupid research by a company that needs to rely on a third party to offer many AI services because they don't dedicate enough to their in-house projects.
The problem I see both in the video and in the comments is very different. In my experience, and I suppose in the experience of many, applying technologies to elevate cultural aspects often ends with policing. And we don't want to be policed. If a person earns my respect (the bar is very low, believe me), they could ask me to call them whatever they like. If they lose my respect, by, idk, punching kitties 🤷🏼♂️, I still should have a right to call them what they are to me.
If Microsoft truly believed this they would not have hedged their bets by contributing 22% of $3.9M to Trumps campaign. Money speaks louder than corporate training. Meanwhile, hateful idiots in the comment section here actually believe a faceless and soulless corporation actually cares about ethical issues like inclusivity.
can i get a source on that percentage? i think a company is likely going to appeal to as many sides as possible and the side thats bigger is people who'll respect pronouns. i mean having this video is going to get them support no matter what the comments suggest as if they are making this video they are most likely putting the practice of including such people into the company. to me its a case of if they are doing it for good reasons? not as much as they want you to think but at a minimum they do care a little.
@@Nobin-Handle Sure. The source I used is "Visualizing U.S. Election Contributions by Corporate Employees" by VisualCapitalist. However looking further into it they cite and link as source QuiverQuant which appears to have different numbers with a 52% Rep - 48% Dem split for PAC contributions and different numbers for employee contributions. I think the PAC numbers are actually the relevant ones so it was my mistake quoting the VisualCapitalist article and I should have searched for PAC contributions. The original numbers I posted are backed up by OpenSecrets. The point remains that corporations are likely to hedge bets and don't actually have morals, because they are corporations. I do of course agree that it is better if corporations have such policies in place even if they aren't sincere rather than not having them at all. Corporations abandoning such policies is a sign that hate permeated society to the point where hate is a social capital for those corps. Far-right agitators are trying to do exactly that.
