Just heard your story. By the end of it, it was great you mentioned why this board was created , it was basically to connect with our lost loved ones. When my eldest mama expired my mami ji had done plan chit to connect to him and after 3 tries using a medium they were able to connect and she got answers that helped her move on. But my mausa ji who was also in the room called the entire episode a total farce and make believe. However there was one point when mamiji had asked an afterlife question to which this medium snapped and stopped the plan chit and warned her never to go down this path again. This story was been in our family since ages cos i never met my mamaji so its a passed down experience. And yes like you said we are bengalis too

But yes 30+ years ago myself and my brother and some of his friends from his engineering college used to play with home made board just like the one you showed. We never played at night. No horror stories as my mother aways watched over us and prayed in the next room. The boys wanted to know if they will passin the exams every term. After every exam before the results this was like a ritual. 90% answers we got were correct. We always said thank you before saying goodbye.

Well I can't say about Ouija board that it works perfectly or not....but I can say that the traditional pen and paper planchet surely works... My father has got some real amazing experiences wid planchet cuz he's got these powers of communicating wid them but even though he tells the same thing as Prachi and Kuldeep that we shouldn't joke or mess with these things cuz there are certain protocols which have to be followed while doing these things which many forget nd bring upon bad on themselves.
