Regardless how the committee chose the 4 teams a bowl game is a reward for a season well done and the team should treat it as such. If you want to be in the CFP then make it so the committee has to put you in without voting.

We're probably seeing some folks play because the Dawgs are pissed. Don't be surprised if we aren't giving curtain calls to seniors in the 3rd quarter. For some reason and I can't figure it out but no body likes UGA outside of Dawg nation. The media, commentators, refs, analysts all loathe Georgia and the idea of Georgia winning another natty especially on the heels of two back to back to make it a 3 peat was just horrible. So, the powers to be made sure it didn't happen. It is what it is at this point. We all know the Orange Bowl is merely a consolation prize. So let's go on down, get some swag for the players, get the trophy and the check and pull for Texas. And come next year, leave no doubt and beat the ever loving piss out of everyone on the schedule. It'll be tough, but it can be done. Let's get in the playoffs and give the rest of the country a couple of middle fingers and an FU. Go Dawgs !!

I think conference championships may become a thing of the past now that the playoffs are expanding. Georgia and FSU both got major leagued screwed this year. The players that made FSU great are all opting out of this game to focus on getting ready for the NFL. The Orange Bowl is going to be a joke this year. I feel bad for both teams.

@@rickgeiger4045Actually it was the 2017 national championship that gave the team and the program a taste of what it could be. The decision by Georgia to bring in Kirby Smart and get serious with its facilities, unlimited recruiting budgets, to pay top dollar for all the assistant coaches as well as hire an army of support staff that changed this program. I remember when Coach Richt begged and pleaded for additional money to give raises or bonuses his coaches. He was rejected out of hand and in fact paid his assistants out of his own pocket. He begged the University for upgrades to the facilities and for an indoor practice field. He was rejected again and again and again. Still managed to average 10 wins per season. Still managed to get top 15 recruiting classes. Working with bottom tier facilities and bottom tier staffing and recruiting budgets But those were past decisions that dictated the level of success for our program. We’ve made some good decisions finally and it’s paying off in spades and trophies. Thanks, we’ll enjoy this success as we continue to build.

Well Texas fans been beating their chest when their entire team played while 15 players sat out for Ga. And that was years ago.
Will a different team replace FSU in bowl game?
FSU missing two starting WRs, starting TE, starting RB. Without these guys, FSU really is playing with its second-string offence. I would think FSU would even need Jordan Travis and those guys to play with Georgia. Beating FSU with all the offence weapons out proves much of nothing. FSU is looking at this game as an opportunity to get player's experience. Would not be surprised to see FSU play just everyone they have including both QBs. Be interesting to see how FSU does because many of these players will be on the field next year for FSU. I am not even sure if FSU can score a TD with all these guys out. If Georgia was to lose it would be a major upset. There would have to be north 4 to 5 turnovers. I am an FSU fan.
I feel like this game is a no win situation for GA. For FSU you have the opportunity to make a statement. Just like when Georgia missed the playoff a few years ago and ended up getting beat by Texas in the whatever bowl. Georgia simply shoeed up half asleep and the entire country laughed at GA.
I’m. Dawgs fan and I have zero hate for FSU. You seem like humble fans from what I’ve seen so far.

The only way for Georgia to really benefit is for both Alabama and Texas to lose their games and Georgia to beat up on FSU.
Then Georgia can laugh at the committee and say "you think you picked right now?"
In my opinion, FSU can't complain about not getting in the playoff and then pout and sit on the bench against Georgia
I'm fine with them thinking they should be in, but they would need to back that complaint up with a solid win over Georgia for it not to just be empty tears

The last couple of administrations at FSU were weak and horrible. They got FSU into this mess. Our current administration is awesome and is trying to save FSU from the terrible decisions of the former “leaders”. But I’m glad you don’t feel sorry for us. We don’t need your sympathy buddy. Florida State has to learn the culture. It never changes no matter the circumstances. Although we would beat them at full throttle. We have a culture that's set in stone, that's the difference in programs like Alabama and Georgia

Fsu doesn’t care about the game. And no they aren’t “poor” sports for not caring either. And this is coming from a die hard UGA fan. This game is so meaningless just like the rest of the bowl games that aren’t the playoffs.
Opinions like that is what's wrong with college football, I mean Georgia are back-to-back defending national champions and only lost one game in two and a half years by three points to an absolutely quality Alabama team at so if anyone has any discrepancy about being left out of the playoffs Georgia understands because they are still one of the top four teams in the country and everyone knows it.. that being said Florida state is acting like complete babies, if they really wanted to prove a point to NCAA and the national media and the playoff committee.. then they would have had enough Pride to understand this is the perfect opportunity for them go out there and get a statement win against the two-time back-to-back National Champion Georgia Bulldogs and then you would have proved that you needed to be in there because you beat the absolute best team in the last 2 years, I'm sorry but Florida state is learning a number one lesson this season they need to get out of the ACC, that's the reason they're undefeated season is completely tainted because everyone knows including the playoff committee that the ACC is garbage.. plain and simple fact is if Georgia was in the ACC they would have been the defending ACC Champion for the last 10 years in a row.. and even though they were undefeated Florida State's best win the entire year was against the fourth best team in the SEC West so don't forget that while they're beating all these garbage teams like pittsburgh, Boston college, Syracuse and Miami all those teams haven't been relevant in college football in the last 20 years.. so maybe Florida State doesn't care about this game but I guarantee you Georgia is going to end their season like Champions because they had enough intestinal fortitude to show up and take a game serious...
