    Wow! This really works! I was starting to panic when I saw the blood on my dog's bed. She had a cyst that looked pretty inflamed and was slowly dripping. We are now on day three of this treatment, and the difference is amazing. The bleeding has stopped and the swelling has gone down a lot. Saved me hundreds of dollars on a visit to my vet. Thank you so much Dr. Jones for putting this video out there everyone to see.

    Colloidal silver works really well on cysts. My pit lab mix had 2 interdigital cysts and we couldn’t afford surgery. We soaked the cysts in colloidal silver every morning and night, and they began to shrink within 3 days. I would do some research before using it, but it does work. My mom grew up on a farm and they would use it on all their animals if they got a funky infection or something.

      I used colloidal silver on my dog's burst cyst a couple of Christmasses ago to keep it clean. I kept doing this over the Christmas holiday until I could get to the vet. I told him what I did and he thought it was OK.

    Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge! I came across this video after our vet wanted almost $500 to remove a cyst from our dog’s leg. We’ve been using the compress and coconut oil and it is almost gone in less than two weeks! She’s not impressed during the process but she will be when she realizes it’s gone. We are all about alternative medicine so I have now subscribed in order to treat our Little Bit the same as we do ourselves!

    My 13+ year old rescued bloodhound has one on her neck the size of a baseball. The first time it burst and healed up nicely w/ minimal intervention. This time (about 9 months since the last one) it's not healing as quickly. I drained most of it in the shower about a week ago. I thought it was done "oozing", but it started refilling and I gently tried to drain it in the shower again yesterday. I will try the hot compress and hope I can find my tea tree oil. She's not happy about my messing with it. I applied some bacitracin cream on it last night and it looked a little better this morning. Thanks so much for the tips! I love that old girl and want her healed up asap! God bless!

    the easiest way to get a fatty lump to disappear is to massage the lump with your thumb and finger quite vigorously, do the for 10 mins morning and evening and the lump breaks up and disappears after a couple of days, my westie has these every now and again and it does the job. also use filtered water rather than straight form the tap!!

    Thank you! My 12yr old Staffy has cyst problems too, I love her dearly & have had 16 treated by vets over the yrs(I'll let you do the math), but I just can no longer afford to have them treated, and her age is a limiting factor for surgery. I don't like expressing the fluid with needles(neither does she!) , I've found they rupture eventually, but I was guessing on treatment in that situation, healing was much longer than a couple of weeks, she is a happier dog, not nibbling at them, etc like she's learnt it's better left alone now I know what to do. Thank god she is obedient in staying off of the furniture, it can be messy sometimes! Unfortunately she is a master of escape from collars, she will use other things to break them like door frames or table legs to distort them to reach with her mouth and snap big chunks out, ALONG the creases she has purposely created! 😂 The last one lasted 4minutes!

    Hi there! Thanks for the video, very helpful. I have an 11-year-old cat with a cyst that had gotten bigger over the year that he's had it. The vet tested and it is benign. Anyhow today it burst and the inside was just blood red thick goop and some silver/shiny grey stuff that was a bit more firm. The grey matter came out while I was cleaning it. Should I attempt to get any other "goop" out or just clean externally? Is this something that will continue to grow back? The hole where it burst from is about the size of a q-tip end. Thanks for your time if you can answer.

    Hi Dr Jones, thank you so much for making this video! My corgi has a big cyst on her hip and this video couldn't come at a better time for us. I have 2 questions about the curcuminoids. Are they something that can be used long term on a dog at that dose? (I've heard it helps with inflammation from arthritis too). And also do they need to have or should they avoid black pepper extract in the curcuminoids? I have a soft gel I take that has black pepper extract because it's supposed to help humans absorb it better and I am wondering if my dog needs it too. It's a 5mg black pepper extract to 500mg curcuminoids

    • @VeterinarySecrets
      @VeterinarySecrets  7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Hi, yes you can use them longterm, and it may be absorbed better with black pepper- it is absorbed with fat, so most dogs are fine if you give it with food

    Any tips for helping a feral cat with a burst cyst? I have supplemented her diet with feline multivitamins. I am thinking maybe a quick Vetricin or Chlorhexidone spray on the cyst opening?

    Hi doc. Thanks for sharing this video. Really helpful. I just have a question though.
    I just found out that my dog has a cyst and I looked over the internet and it falls to salivary cyst. Will these procedures help too, since all I've seen on the internet is to have surgery.
    If these can be of help and no need for surgery, can I just do 1 among the procedure? Or do I need to do all these?
    Thank you. Appreciate your response!

    Hi I just watched this video, and I need help. I have 2 years old, 11 lb poodle mix, and he has a knuckling on his left hind leg due to a car accident. For last a few weeks, he start having a some sort of cyst with liquid inside, so my vet performed a fine needle biopsy, and the result came back as ganglion cyst. The vet took liquid out 2 times in last 8 days, and now they recommend for the leg amputation. Do you recommend these remedies for his case? Thank you.

    Does this work for cats to relieve a tumor, I am waiting to hear back from the vet if it is cancerous. I would assume so but just wanted to check.

    Can i use the aloe stuff for a histiocytoma? My dog just developed it (on his elbow) and the vet gave him Betagem topical spray. I have been using it for 7 days so far and i don't see any change. He is licking the area - not often but it seems to bother him occasionally. I will also try the hot compress that seems like it would help soothe it also. Can i tape the area instead of using a cone? i don't think we're at the point of needing a cone yet, but soon. Any help would be great because i feel like an over worried mom :( i don't want him uncomfortable.

    Hello Doctor, Thanks for a great video my Yorkie got what seems to be a perianal adenoma on his tail. He started biting it and it ruptured. Right now I don't have the funds to take him to a vet I have been doing diluted hydrogen peroxide do you think this will work? Thank you in advance.

    My cat has a cyst that we had removed before during her getting fixed but it came back. I wanted to know if there might be a reason for it to come back. The cyst is on her upper lip it is about half an inch bigger than her bottom lip and doesn't cause her problems eating but i feel like it bothers her. Is it ok to leave it alone or tale her to the vet very soon.

    Thank you for sharing, but I was curious for my lab on what we should do when the cyst is under the eye. Its gone down in the last month, but still is there. Will any of these effect his eyesight if it gets in his eyes?

    • @flowerchild777
      @flowerchild777 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The liquid in his eye should be able to clear that up once you've put warm compresses on it and maybe coconut oil since it's so close to his eye. I know this has been months, but I sure hope your animal is better.

    Hello Dr. Jones and thank you for the video. I think I got everything written down you mentioned. You mentioned diluting the Tee Tree Oil. Can that be diluted in Coconut Oil instead of Olive Oil and if so would that be 10 drops of 100% Tee Tree Oil mixed in 2 Tablespoons of Coconut Oil? Add anything else? Water?
    Do we put the Tee Tree Oil on right after the aloe? Can Neosporin be used instead of Aloe if I don't have any Aloe on hand?
    My vet recommends surgery first sending off cyst to see if it's malignant with his second choice Neoplasene injections/oral. From my research I don't want to use the injections or the oral. I would consider doing just the topical. I really love my vet (my dog does, too) so I just don't know how to say to him if I decide to not do his first choice? I don't want him to think I don't trust his judgement as being the best!! This really bothers me (because I don't want him to think I don't trust his judgment being the best, I do!) as much as I love this vet! What some vets might not think of when they recommend surgery saying how most patients do not have any complications is that we pet owners know that but what us pet owners think of is even if there is only one dog out of a thousand that has a reaction, what if it is MY dog that is that one? My fur baby is 11 years old. Thanks again!
    I just saw your video after I wrote this, about Lewis. I can sure feel your pain having gone though this before. It never gets any easier and in fact it gets harder for me. I will start crying now just thinking about what is to come for my fur baby. How rare to find a vet that not only has the skills to help animals but has the compassion and love for pets, too. Not all vets have that.
