Yeah, same here. As a kid my dream was to have one of these, but it was hella expensive for my familiy. Now I have how to buy it and I just can't stop hahah
I remember watching the Bugatti Chiron build from him in 2018 when I was in the hospital and that’s what sparked my love for LEGO and supercars! Now I film rare and exotic supercars in my channel and I love doing it! Now I can’t wait for my LEGO Sian to arrive! Thank you so much Brick Builder 😊
i remember building this on my 14th birthday and it was my favorite build by far, it was so fun to watch everything start to look like the car and it took so long and made the ending even better. 10/10 would do again.
I have been building for over 20 years and this set has taken by far the longest of them all. The Eiffel tower, which is about 90% of the pieces of the Sian set, took me a little over half the time to complete. For reference, the Sian was a little over 7 hours. It was an incredible build journey but far more complex. The piece per dollar is decent, 9.73 pieces/dollar. For comparison the 6x6 Volvo (42114) is 8.75 pieces/dollar, Liebheerr R (42100) is 9.13 pieces/dollar and the Chiron (42083) is 10.28 pieces/dollar which is about the same ballpark considering rare/expensive individual pats in specific sets. The color issue with the Sian set can be bothersome for those who have an eye for specific detail in that regard but if you are looking for a fun building experience and can overlook that issue (or add your name to the list of others who have sent is their disappointment, I am one of them), then this set is worth the money. There has also been a lot of mods (fixes really) to the design and functionality of the car that can be found online with no additional parts (widening hood and hinged engine cover for example). If you happen to have a couple small shock absorbers laying around, hard and soft springs, you can modify the door mechanism with just those extra parts. All in all, it is a fantastic set. The playability is there (better than the Chiron in my opinion) and it is sticker-less which I was pleased to find out.
Maybe the upcoming Eiffel tower will beat the time it took you to build the Sian...It will be coming later this year and will cost 630€.Last year we had the 9000+ pieces Titanic, so with the same pricetag I think the new Eiffel tower will be BIG !!! I don't know how many pieces it will have, but I expect the release date will be somewhere around November.
