This video is great ! Thank you for showing what great images and footages that small camera is able to produce ! The amazing views are perfectly mixed together with good music in the background, greetings from Poland !
amazing that so often folks are comparing the little RX100 MII with full frame or aps-c size sensor cameras - RX100 MII is amazing for it's size but of course costly but there is so often need for something small and light and that is what one pays for - I have APS-C & Mirror Less cameras which are nice but I sure love my RX100 and it is always with me which is more what I can say about the others - best camera you have is the one that is with you and that is a key
Certainly enjoyed watching this. Still unsure about which one to go for. I was getting the RX100, but am tempted to pay the extra and getting the mark II. But not really needing the wi-fi but the tilting viewfinder makes it brilliant for low level shooting. Do you think it's worth paying the extra?
Sorry Chris for the late response, youtube isn't great when it comes to comment notification. If you are still undecided, the mark II has the tilting screen and better ISO performance. If you think those two aspects are important to you, get the mkII, otherwise spare some money and buy the first version ;)
The Sony has a larger sensor so you should get better results especially at high ISO values. But I haven't tried the G16 personally, so I cannot tell you more really.
Very nice video. I tested all kind of cameras in the market, but the Sony RX100m2 is absolute one of the best. I will use the RX100m2 mainly for pictures. For video I use the Sony GW66VE really magnificent camcorder for only 399 euros. I never use digital zoom, because it's too noisy in general. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice! The girl in the video seems to have an olympus (maybe an ep-3 or 5) with the EVF. Nice! :) I'll look if to pick up an rx100ii or the 70D from canon! Thanks for this video
Hard to say, they are totally different cameras. Sure the RX100II is easier to carry around, but you will get better dynamic range, ISO and IQ with the Canon. If you serious about photography, the 700D can be a good start for you. If you just want a small camera with very good IQ to carry everywhere, than go with the Sony.

Thank you very much!
Great video, so much work put into it. An inspiration to others.
Carl Ziess lenses are one of the best you can buy that's why the video comes out crisp. It's all in the glass! Great little camera.
What a amazing video. Nice ! Rx100 mark 2 is awesome and also the way it's being captured.
Damn!! I love how this small gear can do great job on video recording... awesome!!
Beautiful video test for Sony RX M2 (Y)
Thanks Robin!
Thanks, and I agree with you, the RX100 surely makes a good impression in front of some APS-C cameras.
I love Carl Ziess lenses! There is no artificial color in the pics like some lenses do. They stay true to the color.
Nicely produced video :-) fantastic scenery, and the camera did a great job!

wow what an awesome video
Very impressed with the camera and your great eye. Very artistic. Time to get something smaller and easier to use than my Canon 5D Mk2. Nice jig too.

Tanks for sharing your nice video.
It made my decision easier.
I wanted to buy either this or a Canon EOS 700D.
Any thoughts before I make purchase?
what a great test!

not the best but you can manage
Very good!
Did you use tripod on some scenes?
I wanted to buy the Canon G16 but I really want the one with the better video. Any ideas on how the Canon compares with the Sony in terms of video?
Thanks for sharing this .... great impressions! I've the Nikon D7000 and I am looking for this portable Sony Jewell ;-)
i wish the lens is a bit wider
Should I get this one or the hv60v.
Hi, nice video. May I know what application did you use to edit this? It's lovely :D
Cheryl Stevenson Thanks. I used Premiere Pro CS6.
Mathieu Gasquet Cool! Is it AVCHD format? If it is, does premiere pro accepts this kind of format? Thanks :)
Yes it is and premiere accepts it no problem.
What is best? This Sony RX100 II or the Sony Nex 6?
Yes, my fiancee' is in the video. She has an E-P5. :) Thanks for the comment!
Nice!
It is good music!
