the storyline of the mv is basically imitating a Japanese tv show where kids are sent out to do errands (in this case taeyong’s errand was to get dango, a Japanese candy) but everytime he went to do the errand he basically forgot to buy it! For example at the arcade he got distracted by the arcade games and missed buying the dango, and at the bathhouse the dango sold out before he could buy it! He got the dango at the end though :) this whole mv is very Japan inspired even the ending credits are done in a similar way as Japanese shows LOL
In the mv he is referencing a Japanese program where children go and run their first errand by themselves. His errand is to go and find the Dango that he wants to eat but every time he goes to a place he gets distracted and they run out. In the end he gets the Dango! Also, that’s why the mv is edited like a Japanese show. The lyrics are also great! He’s basically saying to the haters, if you hate me so much, why are you so obsessed with me and keep checking my content and my every move? You know, tapping on the screen to see him. They just keep tapping and tapping checking what he does next. The other songs on the album are so good. Completely different from Tap in style and feeling. The other songs are more atmospheric and personal. I thought Tap is the weakest song on the album, which speaks to how good the album is. I hope you react to the other songs and share your thoughts.
My fav song in the album is Moon tour. I repeat it like 20 times only today. It's so magical. I prefer shalala album but love more Tap than Shalala...but i love both...more songs is better.
