  • PARAGLIDING TUTORIAL - paragliding reverse take off tips! Learn how to do reverse take off with your paraglider, speedflying wing or miniwing!
    In todays paragliding tutorial video I’ll show you MY way of reverse take off. This trick requires some paragliding ground handling skills including reverse control. You can do this reverse launch take off trick with any wing you have. Just keep in mind that bigger paragliding wings are little harder to play around with, if you compare it with light paragliding wings. Also its possible to do this take off trick with speedflying wings or miniwings!
    When to use these reverse paragliding take off tips? Well paragliding takeoffs are very important part in this sport! As we are in the most dangerous paragliding spot. That means that if we fail on paragliding launch - we can quickly get smashed down and thats bad. So to avoid all paragliding fails and bad situations you have to master ground handling paragliding wing and one of them is to have ultimate control over you paraglider while doing reverse take off!
    There are few important steps to learn that ground handling take off trick. To master perfect reverse launch or reverse take off with your paragliding, speedflying or miniwing make sure you follow this:
    Number 1 is to learn how to properly hook in with your harness.
    Followed by step 2 which is grabbing your commands and all other risers in proper order.
    Step number 3 is to know the conditions and how to interact with your paraglider.
    Step 4 is to control your paragliding wing above you head and turn around at proper timing.
    Step 5 is to avoid all the mistakes you can make while doing reverse paragliding launch! (explained IN VIDEO)
    Step 6 enjoy in nice and smooth take off and have a great flight!
    I remember when I started paragliding I was already full of ground handling skills (because I was handling for years before I really jumped IN actual paragliding), I quickly mastered reverse paragliding take offs and then other tricks which allowed me to take off from almost anywhere!
    So if you ask me paragliding ground handling is in my opinion one of the most important things to learn in this sport. With big impact on preventing paragliding accidents and crashes… So I am thinking of creating more paragliding tutorial videos on this channel.
    This reverse paragliding take off tutorial is something you wanna learn fast! It gives you more control and at the end more safety overall.

      Can you please do a tutorial for alpine/forward launch? For people that are used to flying in a lot of wind, reverse launch is the daily bread BUT alpine/forward launch is scary, specially when you're alone and you don't have anyone to tell you if the wing is coming nice and even on top of you.
      Keep up the good work, man!

    Hi Aljaz, as the pioneer of the Mitsos Reverse Launch, I want to firstly congratulate you on a well produced video and explanation of this technique. Only recommendation I can make is, always grab the rear risers (after brakes in hands) first and take left hand to hip before grabbing A's. When it's windy it's putting the safety on the trigger. I also use the C's to control the wing on ascent, by moving the left hand towards to low wing. Also use the C's to stop the wing overshooting in stronger winds. I also suggest stepping back into the wind prior to turning as this will help the wing move forward when it's windy. Too many pilots turn around as soon as the wing is overhead and when you're moving back towards the wing, it means you'll be behind the wing, rather than in front of it... cheers mitsi

    Always use the reverse launch. A tip I use, think 'right to flight' and 'left to land' when considering which way to turn at launch and landing. Provided of course your right risers are over your left.

    Personally, I think it's easier to connect to the glider while facing it... just turn the risers 180° in the direction you turn... If you do it like you showed you'll often catch a line on your helmet... Does not look very professional and is also annoying... ;-D EDIT: Damn, I wasn't patient enough! ^^

      @@AddictionHappiness where is the helmet .... helmet where are you, are you in your backpack ... why you don't like my head. This asks your helmet Aljaz

    • @AddictionHappiness
      @AddictionHappiness  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@skydiveinfo I agree that helmet is very important in these sports. But As you can see from the video - terrain I am on, is soft grass without rocks - in front of me there is parachute landing place with small "soft" round mini rocks. You can't really smash into something here and on top of that conditions are super light. So question right there - are we wearing helmets while we walk on sidewalks next to roads (full of rock solid materials) and stuff like that? :) However - like I mentioned I always wear helmet where risk factor is real and out of my possible control. So soft grass without dangerous obstacles and light conditions... not needed. Hope it makes sense? :)

    • @skydiveinfo
      @skydiveinfo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AddictionHappinessYes you are 100% right, but it is for your skills, ground (grass) weather a few winds.
      The problem is in people who will imitate you and will not take it into account. You have great materials and I like you very much.

    • @AddictionHappiness
      @AddictionHappiness  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@skydiveinfo That might be the case true...but I think everyone should have that much knowledge to keep that in mind. But like you said you never know so I'll try to make it somehow explained or included :) Thanks for support and feedback Tomasz! :)
