I'm going to be honest, I feel like I've played Mario Kart Wii maybe once or twice at a friend's house before, but I have ZERO memories of it. Recently discovering the soundtrack to get my homework done, and now seeing the context, I really do see how beautiful this game is! It makes me want "Mario Kart Ultimate," a game where every track and racer that's ever been in a Mario Kart game is in one, with some newbies too. Seeing a track setting like this with the already beautiful music... doesn't it just make you want to witness it in HD?
That was a pretty sweet race like holy cow, 3 blue shells and I think birdo dodged one in the cannon? That lightning striking about when birdo hit the jump?
The video uploader wasn't in first place, and the game doesn't respect him. The only time I would get hit with a blue shell on this stage was if I took longer than 3 minutes to finish the stage. If someone took first place from me even for a split second, the blue shell would appear to correct that mistake and get me back in first place. That's one thing that I definitely loved about playing on this stage
Diddy Kong never had any other stages in Mkwii and this was the 3rd course of the Star Cup which any DK characters had the 3rd stage of that cup Flower Cup: DK's Snowboard Cross 3rd course Leaf Cup: N64 DK's Jungle Parkway 3rd Course Lightning Cup: GCN Dk Mountain 3rd course
This track was remade in Mario Kart 7 and in Mario Kart Tour in Halloween Tour. The original and Mario Kart 7 version of Maple Treeway do not have pumpkins or mountains. The Mario Kart Tour version has pumpkins and mountains and looks more like Halloween. Another Wii track was recently remade in Mario Kart Tour. I hope for the summer, grumble volcano, dry dry ruins, or moonview highway come to Mario Kart Tour.
My favourite track in Mario kart Wii shame they used it up so we would never see an HD version in MK8. EDIT: 4 years later, Maple Treeway finally got an HD remaster in the booster pass and it looks so beautiful I might just cry! 😭😭😭😭

I love this course, but coconut mall and moo moo meadows are also strong picks for me.
Honestly, the graphics in the Wii version really fits with the track. The glowing artstyle really made this tracks more alive and beautiful.

That's MKWii for you. So many blue shells are thrown per race that you can't keep track of how many were used.

1:17 See that floating wire board? It was removed in Mario Kart 7 because of the limitations of the 3DS, so it was replaced with a gliding section.
