For today’s video, I wanted to dive into the differences between Slades and Flaneurz. You have probably seen them on my Tiktok (and probably followed me because of that content lol) but I wanted to give you all deep dive into pros and cons, an honest review, and which one I like more!

I did a search and didn't find any other brand that makes skates with this technology, this could also be one of the reasons they are expensive, i think

I appreciate this honest review, & your attention to detail when comparing the slades & flaneurz! E.g. the way the sandpaper on the flaneurz can get caught on clothing/trap dirt- that’s not something I’d considered, but it’s definitely good to know ^_^

What you can do if you want the technology now but can't afford Flaneurz is get slades first and get used to it, save up money etc and then replace the plates. I did exactly that, all I wanted was the technology. I got rid of the sneakers and the plates and got new plates from Roll line for 160€ and adidas top ten. I was lucky because I got the pre-order price of 150€ for the slades (instead of now 230€). So i got 2 pairs of shoes and basically a premium set-up for 450€ (instead of iconic series from flaneurz with only one pair of sneakers for 400€).
Of course the prices went up now... slades now cost 230€ and Change your shoes Option costs 120 (instead of 100€ that I paid back then). But I think this option is still good enough if you want the skates now and can afford 230€ right away. It also gives you the freedom to choose the plates you like (e.g. I chose shorter plates than the premim Flaneurz would give me for my sneaker size)
Hi, so if you buy the Slades, it is possible to later on separately purchase the Flaneurz plate?
@@esdavilo No, you can't get the plates alone. I bought plates online and mounted them myself. You can only get either a set of the rolling part + sneakers or only the sneakers. But unfortunately you can't get the rolling part/plates alone
@@steffanosdot6687 ok, I think I understand, you just changed the nylon plates that were supplied with the detachable wheel part of the shoe for a better quality plate? That’s a really good idea. Thanks for responding, I’ll definitely keep this in mind for when I get my Slades.
@@esdavilo Yes, that's what I did. This way I could use the slades and enjoy the benefits and upgrade when I had the money to get the plates. All in all, the mechanism is really worth its money. Still convinced that it was my best purchase 2021 xD

The slades you could use shoe paint & customize make em cuter. Be interesting to see. Wish they were verified ethically sourced fair trade for real from raw materials to end product with adjustable toe stops & a slight heel option. Areas for improvement, obviously.

So what you recommend is buying shoes, for example; I were to buy a pair of airforces and then send those over to Flaneurz and have them installed the little holes and thing, then buy the skates and key separately? If thats right how could I go about sending them the shoes?

Hello! I am considering getting the slades version for transportation, but I have 0 skating experience. Would it be difficult to learn how to use these as a beginner and get good enough at it to use it for transportation?
Anythings possible with practice! I came from zero experience too.
So you bought the blazers online from Nike France. Did you just put flanuerz shipping address?? And how did they get them back to you?
Yep!! I did exactly that. And i put the final address via flaneurz when putting in an order, and they emailed me to confirm. Really good customer support.

When I ordered my customs they didn't have iconic in stock so I had to get the $100 extra plate! Also how did u order on Nike France I can't read a thing

Loved this thanks. Looking to get one or the other but still thinking is this really comfortable to walk in? With the plates and all? Does not seem like it and since im not in france i cant really try them on. Can u tell a dif between the same shoe with and with out the click in plates? Could u expand on this? Im already convinced they r good skates the walking in the shoes is ….leaving me thinking
It's comfortable! I can tell because if i step on a rock or something on the metal part then i can hear it crunch since it's a hard metal picee against the rock, but in general, nothing will get caught or anything. low key its kinda asmr satisfying to crunch on rocks lolol
@@clara.hwajoon thanks so much for ur feedback. So it that the same for both flaneurz done shoes and sladers? Or r the slades better since the sole is already done with this in mind? Im worried i send in a pair of shoes i use daily and have a new pair modified and than feel dif. I mean like in the way the sole folds when we walk. The low key asmr makes sense.
@@jessicadoe1599 You can only send in new shoes, so i'd recommend sending a shoe directly from checkout of that shoe to flaneurz. Slades and flaneurz are the same feeling. the sole still folds the same bc the hardware is only on the ball and heel of the foot, the rest of the sole is the same.

yes i do! they're pretty affordable and since they can switch shoes i'd say they're worth it in case you do decide u like skating :)

Do you know if slades or flaurez makes a different plate for wide set shoes? Would you know if it would be comfortable or unstable? Feedback would be nice if you had any. And if you don’t then where else could I find this information? Thank you!
I don't think they do.. I haven't heard of much info as it has to do with wide set feet + skate plates. I can't imagine it to make a huge difference, though, since the alignment is to the center of balance on your foot!

is skates heavy?? compare to normal skate shoes?
Nah theyre not heavier than normal skates. If anything theyre lighter since the shoe is lighter than a normal skate boot. But plates are real skate plates and real parts so theyre the same!

Yep! All of them are compatible
I forgot to add on that people complain about the prices of the shoes.
Yet laptop, computers, iPhones, etc costs wayyy more expansive.
This skate company might be associated with Lamborghini they don’t have to advertise to make money. Their skating customers don’t sit around watching tv lol
