What's funny to me is that I played this when it first came out in 2013 and a handful of times since then and most of the people I know have as well, so the big moments like Sarah or Tess dying are kind of culturally salient to me from ages ago. I forget that not everyone knows this story. Seeing new people play it or watch the show, I get the feeling that most people get when someone says, "Wait, who's Bob Marley?" or "Darth Vader's his father?!" You just can't believe it for a second.
@@hannerlive Oh to go back and experience it for the first time. I envy you that. There aren't many stories that make me feel that way. "Wuthering Heights" and "Siddhartha" maybe, but there you go: The only things I can compare The Last of Us to are classic literary masterpieces. It's actually that good.
I know you are probably way ahead or probably played the whole game already, but in The Last of Us, stealth usually helps you save ammo, healing items and won't get you surrounded by too many enemies. Ammo is not really plentiful in the game, so save it for the worst scenarios.
@@MATTHEW-rp3kq If you "know" then why did you say Anna??? Anna isn't part of the game. Anna is alive. If you know that they are two different people, then why did you say *_Anna!_* "I know", my arse. Anna proves you did not actually "know". At least own up to your mistake. That you do not know/forgot her name is *Annie* or accidentally mixed up the names. Admit and say oops, thanks for the catch, or sorry, my bad - got her name wrong. If you made an error then you did *_not_* "know," just accept that. Don't go saying "i know". Claiming you "know" is the epitome of, and doubling down on, not knowing.
@@remi77bf69 If it was just once, I'd agree. But it is a copy/paste. He also made the exact same copy-paste (including the lack of space, misplaced period, and lack of capitalization of Wersching) comment in Kailey's playthrough. No differentiation or adding something based on each individual playthrough or comments made by the gamer - just a copy-paste seeking attention. Errors are okay, but copy-pasting them... that is fair game to be raked over the coals
Great start to the playthrough! Stealth is optional, but it's encouraged because it reduces your consumption of resources (more important when playing on moderate difficulty or harder, as resources are less available). Sometimes it's fun to just go full-on shootout, but other times stealth may be the smarter move because you may face more/harder enemies soon after and need as much ammo as possible. Sometimes stealthing the lower level enemies like humans and runners is ideal, so you save most of your weapons and ammo for the trickier stalkers, clickers and.... the last stage of the infected ;) It also helps judging stealth vs guns blazing based on the resources you have and what you're willing to use up, so you have ammo if you get swarmed, rather than spaced out enemies that can be taken down quietly :) And props to you for playing with a mouse and keyboard! I could never get my fingers to press the right buttons when I panic, so I almost always play games with a controller, if I can XD .. I've just looked Annie Wersching up and I can't believe I recognised her photo immediately, but not her as Tess. I've seen Annie in so many things, but she's somewhat unrecognisable here. What a brilliant performance and such a shame she passed so young :(
I’m surprised that nobody in the chat told you about the bow you missed at 2:50:00. I hope you can find one at another time in the game. I think that’s the downside of playing live with a chat; it distracts the player and they can miss important things.
this is pretty macabre, but I always enjoy checking out the enemies i've killed, no other game has the kind of detail that TLOU does, like, the bullet entry wounds and exit wounds are just crazy... :D :D

Oh sweet summer child, you have no idea, what you're walking into...
She dosent even watching ...
LOL I HAD NO CLUE
man that first part always gets me no matter how many times i see it or people play it

Hanner looks like an older version of Sarah playing the game 😂
Who else is here because they love watching other people experience this for the first time?

Sarcasm. Sarcasm is a thing, and that is a VERY funny birthday card.
