    Creality Ender 3... Sucks the big one when issues arise they don't have all the firmware on the site for downloads. I did get a firmware update installed and it does not read the Micro card anymore to do a print and a USB will not connect either. Also far Anycubic Kobra 2 NEO continues to plug itself between the feeder roller and tube that is the hotend connection. I can't find a fix. Its chewing up every FDM line inserted. Travel speed, Flow rate and print speed rates or settings don't seem to change it either or not enough to stop the eating of the filament. Both seem to be decent built machines but totally lack in software/operational factors. My first machine was the XYZ printing Davinci printer - enclosed ABS...

      A ton of people who have been involved with 3D printing for awhile don't seem to like Bambu. It isn't open source. The newer printers operate over a cloud service and some have concerns about their IP. Others have issues with their proprietary parts and poor customer service. For those who do not have a ton of experience, Bambu offers turnkey printing.

    • @hawtdayum
      @hawtdayum 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@LostBongThat open source crap is so idiotic.
      Most people who jack off open source have never written a line of code, contributed to the FOSS or know how to read a lick of code. Customer service is trash for the printers on the list?
      Lastly you can run bambu labs printers without the cloud. Let the lie end. It was dumb in 2022 and even dumber in 2023.

      @@hawtdayum I agree with you, just repeating what some have said. I plan on buying a Bambu X1 in a few months when I save up. A friend of mine bought one and I was a little impressed...lol

      In most of the comparison videos of print quality both the p1p and x1-c have better surface quality then all of these printers on this list. However in standard mode the Bambu labs printers were slower in print time then some.
      With all this said I use Bambu labs printers. Why? Core xy, ease of use, reliable, and fast. Basically I’ve moved away from bed slingers. But since Bambu is not releasing a larger build volume until they finish developing their next gen printer I’m considering 2 next gen bed slingers, the Neptune 4 max and the anycubic kobra 2 max. The anycubic currently is more attractive but I’m apprehensive to purchase it due to the requirement to use the anycubic cloud to send via WiFi which who knows is orcaslicer is even compatible with where the Neptune 4 max does work with orcaslicer out of the box but has other odd issues.
      Bottom line is I’m not going to race out and buy these quickly marketed next gen klipper printers. But the question we all need to ask is, why did it take Bambu labs releasing the x1-c and subsequent printers for all the other companies, except prusa, to market klipper printers? It’s not like it’s been a secret. So for this reason alone Bambu labs helped everyone in the fdm 3D printer world.
      As far as voron, and rat rigs go, I’ll say this they potentially are better printers hardware wise then any available printer out there depending on your component selection. Where the huge drawback for MOST people will be assembly, tuning, and support however there is a large community that will fill in the support section of the negatives, possibly negating it as a negative.

    • @hawtdayum
      @hawtdayum 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@shawnhicks619 It's interesting you mention speed being comparable to some of the bed slingers. I think I know the reason.
      Many people use the "generic settings" for filament. For instance bambu pla filament is around 21mm/s flow rate and the generic rate is 11mm/s.
      Just changing the filament to bambu profile or if you tuned your filament, potentially higher, I have found 24-26mm/s printers comfortably on an X1/P1 series without touching sport/or luda or upping temps.

      I've had an Anycubic Vyper for 2 years and have had no issues when printing 100's of prints. the Kobra was too small at the time of purchase but now they have biger models. Based on my experience, I would have no issues recommending Anycubic printers to anyone. The only advice I would give you is... If you plan to plint with TPU; try to find one with a Direct drive , as opposed to a Bosen style. The Bosen style are great for more rigide materials (PLA, TEPG,SAS, etc.., but with wobbly, elastic TPU, the distance between the drive and the hot-end introduces variability in the feed of material, and its retraction (variability = more inconsistant printing and results in more "pops", hairs, etc.. and more post-processing after printing) ... Also, no matter the printer you choose; try to find one that has plenty of opensource options for future upgrades (software or hardware). Good Luck.

    Why do you only recommend 3D printers sold on Amazon? How many have you tested? The video shows a series of printers with general information from the manufacturers but no actual product reviews. You didn't list important printers like the Bambulab X1 Carbon + AMS Combo, A1 and P1S, Prusa XL and MK4, Rat Rig V-Minion, and finally the VORON Siboor among others.

    I am huge fan of the new Qidi Tech smart series way less cost than Bambu and superflawless prints with larger bed sizes and heated chamber. On 20 March 2024 they unveil a new release only see image showed today at their website. Curious what features this will have. Smart series hits 600mm/s. Hoping it a new dual extruder pro series large format. The Qidi Smart series clear winners and this new one has curiosity sparked!

    I have to agree there no Bambu on this list. The A1 is arguably going to be the new budget entry printer to consider. I also think what’s going to happen is the second get Bambu printers are going to deliver something more then what these next gen printers are offering. Most of them fall short and were obviously rushed to market to compete with Bambu Labs, which is silly to me I’ve been asking for a while why no one was offering printers with Klipper from the factory. It’s not like the community hadn’t already figured it out. My guess is all of these companies were content to compete with prusa, who I have my own praise and criticism of, and were doubtful that the Bambu would live up to the hype promised in the kickstarter. Even I fell into that line of thinking. Now I sincerely wish I’d have joined the kickstarter. I now no longer have any of my previous gen fdm printers. None. They are all Bambu labs. Sure it’s not fun to have to split up parts but even with assembly and post production I get parts faster then I used to with my cr-10’s.
    But even though I’ve moved away from bedslingers I’m considering 2 of the next gen printers as a place holder for the next larger Bambu printer. Those are the anycubic kobra 2 max and the elegoo Neptune 4 max. But I’m still going to hold off a bit longer and see how they do in the wild before I pull the trigger. They are appealing though.

      @@gunnarbeddoes13 still holding off, I just can’t seem to justify a bed slinger for the majority of my production printing. I have considered the new A1 with the AMS lite since it appears the new full size A1 will at some point support multiple AMS lites and it would be nice to have the ability to multicolor print on a limited basis. I have neglected to purchase the AMS for the x and p series printers as those work pretty solidly on prototype and production parts that are all single color and it just seems frustrating to tie up one of those for multicolor prints. But this is my situation other people’s situations may vary.
      Ultimately I think it’s going to boil down to a voron or rat rig for us. We are down for the rest of the year for end of year inventory, book keeping and are again rearranging the shop and moving all the resin printers into a new dedicated space and will have 2 separate production areas running one for fdm and one for sla since we have been doing a bit more resin production over the last 2 months.
      Hopefully business continues to be good for us in the next year but it’s always anyone’s guess.
