    Many more units have been added since I was last there 14th October 2021. With the strikes back in the news again, many more units may be added. The general public are still not retuning to public transport for various reasons, but certainly one will be the ongoing strikes. Do love the drone videos.

      @@stevelowndes5803 can someone not have an opinion without being attacked as being as "certain paper" reader ? You read the Guardian?? see its easy to do and rather pathetic. The strikes are causing people to find alternative ways to travel and some will stay with their new choice, this is basic common sense to understand that without a petty little remark about the persons reading choice . I started a new contract in Brum 3 weeks ago, already lost 2 days to strikes , another service cancelled and 1 30 min delay, that was in 9 days of needing the train. I am going to work from home more and drive in on other days , you dont need to read the mail etc to can see what effect the strikes are having

    What an interesting mix of stock. Surprised at the 221 there, it must be either 221142 or 221143, due to go to Grand Central for driver training. The 730s should be entering traffic soon.
    Great Northern has a tender out for 21-30 EMUs starting 2024, it's likely the 379s will be bid for that. The 321s I don't see having much future use, unless Scotrail needs some emergency capacity increase due to stalled BEMU acquisition...

    • @andrewreynolds4949
      @andrewreynolds4949 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Adelante077 The GWR tender was won by 30 of the existing Porterbrook 387 fleet, that's why 3 went to Great Northern. It was essentially a market exercise to get a better price on the fleet.

    Superb video great camerawork and I cannot believe all that money was spent on the 321's and now they are withdrawn. Speaking as a once regular user of the 321's the updated/refurb ones where terrible. In the evenings they where so bright. I used to prefer the ex West Yorkshire 321/9's comfier seating and less brighter.

    The Class 379 Electrostars aren’t going to be scrapped but I think that these units should go to ScotRail to replace the Class 318, Class 320 and Class 334. Or to replace the Class 318 and Class 320.

      its not that some of these trains like the class 379 are really good and comfortable trains then the company decided that the leasing was to much and ended up replacing the 379s for cheap plastic bad quality trains, instead of scrapping 5 year old trains with so much more life with them u can only hope they find another operator
