Still the best popping battle I've seen. The skill of everyone is incredible and the energy is just amazing. Best of all: the energy is all positive. No anger or disrespect, so all the energy goes to dancing.
The admosphere, the DJ handling the perfect beat for each routine and great ending. hea also handle the beat before the last one pretty well. This battle may be one of the main reasons this event became more relevant the following years. also the first routine from korea created a trend
Kite and Madoka - Former Action Kei and Gucchon - Co-thcoo Hozin, Popkun, Poppin J, Crazy Kyo and (Poppin Zero) - Brand New Mind Hozin, Popkun (Dokyun and a lot more) - Real Marvelous Crew. Hope that helped ;)
Japan team is the winner??? I should watch this battle again, focusing on the solo's because in my opinion, Korea Team was the best (routine wise). Anyway... 90% of my favorite poppers were on the same stage =P, this is an eyes burning battle! I have to check the logking team now

+DunDeeoZ yeah. I love how the two crews are mutually supportive. Competitors, but not adversaries. I think I'll make it a point to try to be more like that in my personal attitudes..
I personally like the one in white, I think that's Japan team, I feel that their movement is smoother and somewhat more clear than Korea team.. and also Japan's choreo seems more attractive event without many obvious creation like "glass" thing Korea did. But the last song that Korea Team did is awesome! :))
The Idea of making 4on4 in one style is really cool! there you can see such creative routine outputs of those dancers who love sharing one dancestil; which also gives the audience such an amazing ambiente and harmony on the dancefloor. quite nice =)
Hozin's first round was one of the most creative routines and just sick ass walkouts ever. The whole thing went so well with the song. Same thing with Kites routine. I wish they would stick to these oldschool music choices in these competitions. It makes the dancers perform so differently.
@nday76 I probably shouldve been more clear. Yes in my eyes I saw that Japan wasnt overwhelming Korean crew and vice versa. But I don't seem to understand what you're trying to say by contradicting my own logic. I wasn't trying to make it seem that I was not an amateur and I wasn't trying to make it seem that I saw how Japan won. That's why I talked about the judges seeing something "we" didn't, they're watching the battle in person instead of youtube. "We" meaning Im also included as an amateur
@nday76 Perhaps it's because you're amateur that you don't see how Japan won. Honestly, I liked both sides.. I would have voted tie, but you have to respect the judge's decisions. We weren't there, but the judges were. They probably saw something we didn't. No hate, just putting my thoughts out.
great battle! ... i discovered popping almost new - its really nice to see how everyone gives kudos to everyone ... there is no real opponent ... they all respect each other and just give a great show - it nearly doesnt matter who wins. .. they had lots of fun =D great to see =)
Korea made a bunch of mistakes, Japan was on point throughout. Korea had sicker group numbers (except the early ones were kinda gay). The strobe the Koreans did looks good from a distance, especially to untrained eyes, but the meticulousness of the Japanese was on a higher level. The one solo the Korean dude with the glasses did was sick. But I've seen him on Korea's Got Talent, and he's a weak strober. It's tough. Do you go for difficulty level and meticulousness or creativity and choreo?
whats with all these kids who admit to being amateurs and unfamiliar with popping, yet claim to be "able" to "distinguish" between which one is better or worse, and then says "[insert country] clearly won." thats like an undereducated kid saying picture books are more well written compared to novels because that's the scope of his understanding. no, you arent "able" to do shit, so stop pretending to and show some humility and respect.
thats poppin j, and i would say his strentgh is boogaloo. i found this battle very tight. but korea got no chance to beat japan. i dont want to say because they are better, no but because they are older first of all, and the notoriety of gucchon is unbeatable.
@varsofa hace falta? HACE FALTA? are you crazy? you like tricks? these guys are just like demigod in poppin scene nowaday and you are saying they are missing something and the missing part is trick? come on loco. show us how you dance, upload some videos
Japan went first ,they all are wearing the same shirts, plus I know Kei is a hop-hop dancer from Japan, he is da one wit tha blue hat and du-rag on. And Yes Japan Getz #1. My Korean brothas did good but, Kei and his crew broke it down. 日本は最高だ。
Check out this new sample cut called: "TANKBRAIN FEATURING LOTUS - I'M READY" It would be cool music for hip hop or old school poppin. Bump it in your ride, on your stereo or on your ipod. It will get you "READY" for whatever.
@nday76 I agree with this comment... At first, i was thinking that Korea was WAY better! I had to watch it twice to be sure and now, i think that Korea is a bit better. But better.
This battle is super dope one of the best if not the best popping crew battles I've seen!! Been re-watching this clip many times and it still looks super amazing! Props to Korea and Japan for such an inspiring performance!!
Watching in 2024 ✋️

Wow, that was amazing! even watching it after so many years again... its just incredibly good!
名勝負だ。韓国もかっこいい。
何度見ても感動するなぁ。ダンスは国境を越える
このバトル好きで何回も見てまう🙌
Wow, popping is so much more friendly than breakdancing.
+DunDeeoZ yeah. I love how the two crews are mutually supportive. Competitors, but not adversaries. I think I'll make it a point to try to be more like that in my personal attitudes..
+DunDeeoZ it's also bout the people.. japan and korea have some of the most friendly and respectful dancers in the world
+Roo Kanga yes sir,
+DunDeeoZ of course^^
Lmfao you should look up the video called "da lobby incident" Popping is not always this friendly.
Korea team's routines are great.
That last Korean guy hit those beats on the spot. Pretty awesome!!!! Both of them did great. Inspirational.
crazy kyo
This battle is so epic! I enjoyed every single beat and hit, man those guys are amazing! GO KITE!
Korea are keeping it funky and not going along with the animation bandwagon. Big respect.
Korea Team is dope but Japan definitely stole the show
After 7 years , Legendary battle
One of the greatest battle in the history
the last one's crazy kyo i believe :)
Japan has the two brothers on it and that hard to beat no matter who they are up against..of course they go against poppin j.
This is the most incredible KOD crew battle ever
agreed. even after so many years!!
better then the regular popping battles! DOPE AND MAD RESPECT
Kite ♥_♥
Japan team bro!!!
The song at 13:00 is Don't Sleep by Invincible Feat Finale. (Prod by Black Milk)
legend match
I personally like the one in white, I think that's Japan team, I feel that their movement is smoother and somewhat more clear than Korea team.. and also Japan's choreo seems more attractive event without many obvious creation like "glass" thing Korea did.
But the last song that Korea Team did is awesome! :))
The popper in the whites name is Kite ^^v
Gucchon, Kei, Madako, and Kite dude, this might be the OG dream team, how did they lose?!
Jing Tan They didn't lose, they actually won haha
i'm a Korean but i prefer Japanese style
i don't like other Korean style except hozin
Jongwoo Lee I cant identify where the japanese are.
Jan Michael Portugaleza Japan went first, Korea second in turn.
Linh Nguyen thanks

oh my gosh! It's on fire!!!
This is the legend
best dance battle ive seen ever. this battle never got boring dayum! props!

poppin jから溢れる良い人感
omg this battle was awesome !
And what's the name of all these dancers ?
I think it made it better. changed up the pace showed that the dancers have amazing talent to dance to different grooves.

japan win
playlists of the music the video?...Please.......
lol i know :) also hope that our beloved country can achieve that someday bro xD
2023
i love japan but the korean did pretty well too...
the greenish colored shirt side is japan cause of kite and madoka and the mismatched is korea because of poppin J and hozin
Ahhh sick battle. I love seeing the positive side to dance, no hate, just friendly (but competitive) battling!!
i think korea lost because of popkun. crazy kyo's rude boy completely owned gucchon's.
poppin j is beast
So japan beat korea. Korea beat china. China beat japan. Who won the asia cup?
great battle! ... i discovered popping almost new - its really nice to see how everyone gives kudos to everyone ... there is no real opponent ... they all respect each other and just give a great show - it nearly doesnt matter who wins. .. they had lots of fun =D great to see =)

i was going off the comments of another person. it appears i was wrong.
i never forget this style applied on 2:10

@Sammy Sanchez... Ebonee Webb-Keep On Steppin'
@cr4n33 Mike Song is more hip hop new style than popping. He'd get ripped.
Tumps up if you think Yak films should put a song list in the description
china - technicality
japan - funk
korea - theatrical
Think the other Korean Popper is Crazy Kyo
@cr4n33 tsk tsk tsk... can not believe there is someone who thinks mike song is a true popper and can compete with these guys... lol... very sad....
pls plsssss if any body know any song or music that is played in this video pls tell me... expect from the last one its rude boy (crispy remix) :D
japan is the best dancers ..!!! kite kie madoka guuchon yeah ..!!!
カイトさんやべー。笑
oo what a shame! = ) you don't remember the best korean popper: crazy kyo! = ) he is great!!
I like Hozin..
This battle is super dope one of the best if not the best popping crew battles I've seen!! Been re-watching this clip many times and it still looks super amazing! Props to Korea and Japan for such an inspiring performance!!
@VictorDaniel321 DPZ Crew ft Casual - Gangsta ( Instrumental )
Hozin, Popkun, Poppin J, Crazy Kyo vs Kei, Guuchon, Madoka, Kite
Popping BOTY?
@1:42 Now that's good sportsmanship! Love the synergy they just showed there out of respect for the choreography, even for the rival team! Great!
What kind of shoes are Kite and the skinny Korean wearing???
@Blourff can't help you with the Koreans but the Japanese poppers are Kite, Gucchon, Kei, and i believe Madoka
@ARiYeong1 the japanese are the ones in white tshirts :)
popping old school...........kill beat không tường tượng đc..........amanition hay...
they both did really cool thing and it was really good ! But i think korea was so cool . korean wins
Last guy is Crazy Kyo. Japan team is Former Action + Co-Thkoo and Korean team is K-OGS i guess.
i didnt watch the whole video when i commented but its a top comment and i dont wanna take it down
This battle is the reason, why i started popping.
Korean!!
Invincible and Finale Don't Sleep (Instrumental) 12:55-15:55 thumbs up so everyone see it

ya, and fresno is a style in poppin too ;) where you are from is the origin of it :)
What's the name of the last song with Rihanna?
SONG 12:56 - 15:55 HERE!!! /watch?v=1Mb0y28MmJM
It's former action ( Kite and Madokka) with Co thkoo (Gucchon and Kei) for Japan!
i nearly jizzed on seeing the dancers that showed up alone. so many big names...
DJ changed the music mid-way at the end when hozin is dancing =.= not so nice
I thinks it was just done like this so noone would win. Each team got 1 win.
