Your video soothes my anxiety before sleep and I am very faithful to your content ! You are the best !! 🤍🤍
Apropos of nothing… I was sitting here watching Stephen Colbert talking to Tim Walz, and Tim Walz watches rug washing videos on TH-cam. He asked Colbert if he’d ever watched one, and James washing a rug was the clip they showed! James and Mountain have now appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert! Congratulations, James! ✌🏼💙
I worked a short while in a beer bottle & cans recycling plant, stale beer is the moldiest odor I know! I'm so glad to see that rug get cleaned, it deserved it!
Watching so many of your videos, inspired me to diy clean my own carpets, with a tarp, stiff brush, and pressure washer. The entrance mat was the grossest lol
Thank you so much for returning to explaining the process as you do these jobs! I’m not only satisfied by the clean, but educated as well! The epitome of my happy place!!! You are valued and appreciated!!!❤
Excellent job as always 👌 beautiful rug and my favourite colour for sure!! I especially love it when you do slow motion when pushing the water out. It's so satisfying 😊
captions! my favorite color rug! this is awesome! i’ll probably have to watch this one a few times to see the end result (i’m usually asleep by R2Clean2 😅) thank you for another great one
Mountain rug cleaning!! I gotta tell you, you are my favorite rug cleaning channel by far! Given my OCD, you hit all my satisfaction buttons (maybe you're like me too! Lol) you always get all the corners and clean the floors PERFECTLY!! I appreciate what you do! Your oklahoma usa fan!! ❤
First - thank you for the commentary - I know it's extra work in video creation but it is really educational. Second - I had never heard of Blue Tac before (maybe a Brit thing?) but it reminded me of something we used to be required to use in lieu of tape back in college dorms. Tape purportedly damaged paint and wood surfaces, so if we wanted to hang anything on the walls, we had to use Sticky Tac, which had the consistency of old chewed gum but peeled off the wall without peeling off the paint. Problem was, if that got on fiber/clothing it was like cement and almost impossible to get off. The Blue Tac seems to be something more of a liquid adhesive that dripped onto the rug then dried. WD40 to the rescue 😉 Like they used to say, if it is moving and shouldn't, use duct tape; if it is not moving and should, use WD40 😉Engineering flowchart 🙂
i love watching your rug cleaning video's i have a question what happens to all the dirty water do you filter it and reuse it. keep the videos coming i watch everyone
Hi James ❤ I have a hard time seeing. For next time, Is there any way you could make the words bigger on the bottom of the screen? Thank you so much! I love all your videos so much and always look forward to the next one! ❤
Hey James I really appreciate your content I was wondering if you were able to maybe make the font on the signs that are on the screen a bit larger because they are hard to see and they flash by so quickly they're difficult to read any help with that would be great thanks 👍
OMG I think I just saw a clip of one of your rug cleaning videos on the Stephen Colbert Show! During his interview with Tim Walz....was that you? I'm dying to know.
Hi James, I'm not sure what Blu-Tack is but I'm guessing that it's sticking and hard to get it unstuck from things... especially a purple shaggy rug! But, I have got to admit that W-D 40 is an amazing product and works for so many different things. Like this little hack: When you get a picture frame (or anything) and there's a price tag right in the middle of the glass. You can't just wash those things off. However give the tag a tiny squirt of W-D 40, (enough to saturate the tag), let it sit for 30 seconds and wipe it off with a paper towel. Then clean the greasy residue off of the surface and clean it with a little window cleaner. Still loving your channel I just haven't been commenting! Stay safe, happy and healthy my friend! 🙏🤗🤟
As an Australian, I’m amazed at how much water you can use. And where does the dirty water drain to? Also, you tend to start applying soap from the bottom of the rug. Why not from the top so that the soap seeps in?
Blu-Tack is a reusable adhesive putty that's commonly used in the UK to stick lightweight objects to walls, like posters or notes, without damaging the surface.
@EuphoriaCaramel I know he does lots of things for the sound effects, like dropping the soap with loud plops. But at the same time, he's also cleaning the rug! So the point of my original question was: Is stepping on the rolled up carpet really just a sound effect, or does it serve an actual purpose?

Hi
I like knowing the history of the rug, from the pub or the land fill what ever, it's an added bonus. Thanks for sharing.
Really enjoy learning the backstory of the rugs! Just makes it that much more satisfying!
Same! It helps me appreciate the restoration more when I know how the rug made it to his cleaning floor!
@@MoldyStir-Fry great
Me too!
It’s a shaggy rug… AND it’s my favorite color purple. My 2 favorite things. I love it Lol Thanks for a satisfying video so early in the morning😃
I’m Purple loving Queen💜 plus shaggy rugs are my favorite texture to walk on…it’s very calming for my feet 💜

Love that you started adding the back story of the rugs to your videos!!
It never cease to amaze me how these rugs can hold so much dirt! I love seeing them be restored. Great work!

haha i need to see this
@ I watched it here on YT, James. It’s on the Late Show’s channel, and it’s his interview with Tim Walz. It’s great! You’re on teevee!
i love hearing the stories behind each rug ! i think it makes it even more satisfying to see how much its changed at the end
Looks so fluffy! And purple is my favorite color, and the editing and sounds are great! Thanks James/MRC!! 💙
Glad you enjoyed!
❤ that is a very pretty rug. The landlord's granddaughter is going to love it
Beautiful finished clean, James! It looks so fluffy now and I bet it even passed the "James" sniff test. Amazing!🥰❤
You should try "Goo Gone". It is an adhesive remover. It is made with orange oil so it does not stink. And, it does a great job of removing glues.
Great trip with the bluetac! Thanks!
You're welcome
I worked a short while in a beer bottle & cans recycling plant, stale beer is the moldiest odor I know! I'm so glad to see that rug get cleaned, it deserved it!
Omg that slo-mo flip after you cleaned the backing was SO satisfying!
Wow! Wasn't expecting it to be such a nice colour ❤❤😊
Great to hear the backstory of a rug. It adds colour to the rug. No pun intended. :)
Watching so many of your videos, inspired me to diy clean my own carpets, with a tarp, stiff brush, and pressure washer.

I hope it went well
It went awesome! So much fun lol@@MountainRugCleaning
SO HAPPY THE CAPTIONS ARE BACK!
I am soooo impressed with what you do! I am floored with how bad the carpets are and how clean they are when you are done! BRAVO!
Aaahh SO MANY GOOD THINGS in this video!! But when the 2 bubbles popped at the same time (21:29) I was SO HAPPY!

Grandma probably took her to Tesco to eat the free samples for her birthday, too.
Oh my, that is a super clean shaggy rug and in a brilliant colour. Excellent job as always!
P.S- You forgot the water dump 😢
Great clean James☺️ 💜
Beautiful colour. Awesome result.
I absolutely love this channel. ❤
Applying the blue stuff is always my favourite part. So vibrant 😊
These never get old. I watch these videos from start to finish. Damn good job, sir.
A beautiful shade of purple! Well done, John!

I love this channel and the fact that there's a new video for me to relax to before bed 🥰

Incredible work, as always! But who in their right mind puts a shaggy rug in a pub?!
Even after just one single wash and rinse, it looks so much better! You can see its true color more and it’s a very pretty color!😊
First time watching. I like how you explain what you’re doing

Been using WD40 to remove sticky label and tape residue for years. Never thought to use it on carpet, thanks for the tip.
Seeing the bubbles get all thick and foamy gives my stuck-in-childhood brain a tickle

He has said before that the dirty water is sent to the local water treatment plant.
Why is this so relaxing to watch?? 🤔🤔 My brain tingles when I watch these videos.
Genuinely asking for a scientific explanation
I love to hear the rugs back story and where they come from
From beer catcher to beautiful!!!
Fantastic job!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Still haven’t decided on a name for the water squeegee, huh?
I always wondered: Would hot water be of any benifit? Would the cost outweigh the positive effects?
Can't use hot water on most rugs. They will shrink.
It's giving Dionysus vibes!!!
How come I could smell the beer smell? Wishful thinking? Great clean.
Quedó bien bonita y esponjadita
Keep pushing art washing❤
Shaggy rugs are the best!!
Love ur videos as always man im so early for once

Beer soaked? Dude THAT Rug has Storys to tell, accordingly to that black soup coming from that one corner! 😂👍

Another way is a water based degreaser and a Phillips screwdriver. Works on candy and gum and Carmel as well

Bravo!
Love your videos. Very relaxing, but i miss the 2 manual scrubs, rake and that 2nd disk on dirt reynolds. Any chance we could get those back? Please?
Never before i saw a rug/carpet the color of red cabbage. Wouldn't fit my interior, but it looks good nonetheless.
Never thought this much about after was spent
Beer soaked rug. That smell of stinky beet soaked and dried into a rug must be just awesome. I'm glad I didn't have to smell it.
the sound of your boots on the floor is bonus AMSR 😅😂
I wonder what pub it was with such a rug...
Whats blue-tack? Is that a UK product?
Blu-Tack is a reusable adhesive putty that's commonly used in the UK to stick lightweight objects to walls, like posters or notes, without damaging the surface.
When you roll up the rug and then step on the roll,
does that actually do anything that other cleaning techniques wouldn't do?
This isn't about cleaning. It's ASMR - all done for views and what people like to see & hear. So that is the purpose.
@EuphoriaCaramel I know he does lots of things for the sound effects, like dropping the soap with loud plops.
But at the same time, he's also cleaning the rug!
So the point of my original question was:
Is stepping on the rolled up carpet really just a sound effect, or does it serve an actual purpose?
@@herrhartmann3036 it serves no cleaning purpose
Does the quality of the rug (short vs shaggy) affect tge methods you clean them or is it pretty mucht he same across the board?
Also love the puns for all your gear and absolutely love that Dirt Reynolds got himself a hat. Choice lol.
I was expecting WAY more WD-40 comments.
Most people.didnt get that far lol
What is blue tack?
16:32 That looks my my toilet cleaner 😂😂😂

Is the blue stuff like soap sir?
Hello, it was great, my good colleague❤
Where is mountain rug cleaning located?
You were on Stephen Colbert!
I saw haha. Is he big in the US ?
@MountainRugCleaning Absolutely. They displayed your channel name too, but I knew it was you the moment I saw the white boots 😁
*BUBBLES!*
WD-40, hay string & duct tape fixes anything! 😁🤣
What is blue tak?
The moment you wrote "from a pub" I thought "too much red wine"? Well, no, but it would have fitted.
