I have the Voyager XL in Tanto and Drop Point. I weighed the Clip Point vs the Espada large. Two things helped the decision. One, the Espada is a classic, and I was able to get it during a sale from SMKW for 93 bucks. If I were a serious collector, then I would have the Drop Point Voyager XL as well as the large Talwar. However, I felt one of them is enough. Still, any of the three, Voyager, Espada and Talwar are all good choices.
When comparing things like reach, weight and pocket size then IMO the silent king of all CS xl folders is Frenzy. While the blade isn't usefull in food prep like i would like it to be(its strictly technical tasks and self defence), its extremely light for its size. It's barely heavier than 4" recon1, meaning- if someone made that step in their "knife enthusiast career" where they start EDC-ing the CS Recon1 comfortably, then that person is ready to EDC the 5.5" Frenzy as well.
I love the Voyager. The handle is grippy, but the handle crosses tears up your jeans. Also dirt can gather up in between where the smooth part and the crossed part of the handle meets and can be hard to clean up. Lastly the markings on the blade fades easily.
I have an XL voyager Kris, and an Espada G10 large. Compared to shoes, the Voyager is like a classy suede shoe with a trainer type sole, and the Espada is a suede boot with a leather sole. The 4 Max Scout is like a steel toe capped boot. My choice is: do I need to run in them?
