I watch these news casts and documentaries often.. Like myself, you got to feel sad for these survivors, not only do they lose their homes, but either badly injured or the loss of a family member can be devastating.. Many Prayers for those survivors..
I am a proud native Okie living in Virginia now. I'm praying for everyone who are affected. I too am thankful that more lives were not lost.

My grandparents on down in Oklahoma while we’re in VA luckily they were right in Norman and it touched down about a mile away and didn’t hit them

It's a miracle more people weren't killed. This is just horrible this can happen. This state is known for tornadoes. I just pray for all these people effected. So sad about the lives lost and the baby. 😢
We are known for tornadoes. I live in Oklahoma (not close to these storms). Unfortunately, there are no basements and only about half of the homes have storm shelters. It’s so sad. People do their best but it is a reality and danger of living here.

Praying from Minnesota for my home state ! I have cherished memories of camping in sulfur as a kid.
What about the dollar tree warehouse that was destroyed in Marietta, Oklahoma right off of interstate 35. No one is talking about that. It also destroyed our Dollar General and our grocery store which is very devastating to our area because we don’t have very many people who live here. Talk about that one that was a horrible tornado.

Please pray for the people hit by tornadoes last night. To have your home and town destroyed has to be horrible, and to lose a loved one is so heartbreaking 💔. These people need our prayers and support. I live in Wichita Falls Texas and this same storm system came very close to us, but thank God we only got rain and small hail. My heart goes out to these people! So sorry for them. We are so thankful we didn't have a tornado, we were watching the storm going into Oklahoma and I prayed for those in its path.

should be a law that if you sell house trailers you must provide a storm shelter with the house trailer. so many people get killed in those things.
Or don't buy something unsafe to live in. 😢it's not a trailer manufacturer fault if you put their product in an unsafe area. If they have to provide an extra structure then the price will reflect that and people won't be able to buy them. People buy trailers because they are cheap. The cheap solution is not always the best solution.

I'm 38, and if there's one thing I've learned in my life, it's that Oklahoma gets tornadoes.
I genuinely don't understand the revolving door of grief and rebuilding or why there's an expectation to keep grieving after the umpteenth time. A more realistic society would be like, "I'd consider moving to somewhere stable." At least that would save someone in the future instead of this naive thoughts and prayers crap.
Seriously, we don't give sympathy to people building beach houses in flood zones so I don't understand why there's such a skewed sense of expectation here.

There are very few "safe" rooms or basements because of the soil..Tornados don't hit the same towns EVERY year!
