Salmon Butt is a class unto himself. When the match fixing scandal first broke, I was disgusted that a smart articulate English speaking, educated man (a rarity in Pakistan) would ruin not only his own prospects but showed little integrity for the nation he lead. He was a young man then and may be got mislead by the corrupt environment he was surrounded by. However, he has come a very long way since. Every word of his today drips with reflection, wisdom and sincerity. He is a joy to listen to and i hope Pakistan will be able to use his services properly. Such a beautiful turnaround this young man made. He has energized my belief in the power of second chances. God bless! Hafeez Imran comes across as a decent and well spoken partner for Salman. Speaks like real Hafeez, measured and humble.

Ex-players like Salman Butt, Basit Ali, Rashid Latif, Rameez Raja, etc have been on personal vendetta against the board for the injustices they have faced. Unfortunately, this is further pushing the Pakistan cricket into turmoil and the current players are facing the brunt. The same thing will be repeated by these players and the cycle continues to go on till the cricket is completely destroyed. Constantly comparing with Indian cricket is not the best way to move forward. Indian cricket has different dynamics as well as different challenges. To start with, the board is extremely rich and with the power of money, they are able to create more opportunities for themselves and their players. They are also able to dominate world cricket and get decisions made that are favourable to them.

Well, my comments were not specifically directed at this video but rather to the fact that this has been going on for a long time. The views expressed by the ex-cricketers are hampering the recovery of the game in Pakistan. The political turmoil and the financial crisis have left the country in shambles and cricket is greatly affected. We have already heard “too many cooks spoil the food”. This is exactly what we see happening now and it will keep happening. Every ex-player wants a position in PCB and will go to any extent to prove a point.

Constant comparison with Indian team and mostly praising Indian team is a way for Pakistani TH-camrs to get views. Meet them outside TH-cam and they will have different viewpoint
