Kevin McKay's big records fall into distinct camps; the tech ("Work", "Get Busy"), the deep ("Tom's Diner", "Somebody That I Used To Know") and the party ("Gimme Gimme", "Freed From Desire"). As a DJ, however, his sets encompass more than this, moving from deep through house to tech (admittedly ending up with a massive party 😂).
We wanted to hear some music from him that connected the deep to the tech, and so when this collab request came in from Italian edit king, Giovi, we knew this could be the one. A short while later, Kevin and Giovi delivered "No Scrubs". No prizes for guessing this is a re-work of the TLC classic, but given the fresh tech-edged spin that the two have put on this killer vocal, it should go very far indeed. Banger.
