Momma you still take care of your children, it's just in a different way now. You are a good momma, daughter ,wife, sister and mother in law! Your girls reflect that. They are beautiful too!
Tipper you’re so considerate picking up groceries for granny and Corie! I wish someone would have helped me once in a while back when my girls were babies! It makes such a difference in someone’s life. Bless you!
That sense of community and family helping one another is something society needs more of. It's always nice to see these slices of simple everyday life. It's a reminder that with all our differences in many ways people are the same all over.
Hey Tipper, thank you for taking us along. I didn't take you as a patchouli girl. I love that! I hope and pray that everyone would think before reacting, and to be kind and cordial to one another. 🙏
@@rita1259-y5cI’m jealous, my son and his wife are in the air force and live overseas. They are having twins in November and I’m missing the closeness you have.💔
To me, there's no greater gift when your day has ended, than to know that you were able to help your precious loved ones. ❤️🙏 That's where I find the most joy.
Praying a hedge of protection for your family and property ahead of the upcoming storm. No wind damage or flash flooding. Ty again for your content that’s makes me smile every time I watch. God Bless!
I can relate to getting groceries for my parents. Several years ago, before my mom passed, I started grocery shopping for my parents. Now I shop for my Dad. I am able to work from home and moved my home office to my Dad's house. He is unable to get around on his own and needs someone with him during the day. My brother lives with him so he's there at night. They took care of me so I could in turn take care of them one day. That's what family is about. Take care and God bless!
That was fun, Tipprt! I loved wandering thru Blue Moon with you. I could almost smell it! The best things in life are God, family, and friends. Happy belated birthday🎈🪱❣️
Y’all be careful with this hurricane headed towards your area. I remember Fran hitting Wake County in 96 & no power for 8 days, had a 3 week old baby & 3 yr old son. It was rough. Praying for y’all.
You are a good Woman Tipper Pressley, you and your family have been helping each other all those years, you guys are a good example of great family that just jumps in no matter tha need that helps each other… WOW ! No wonder you guys are so close and Love each other, and y’all grow gardens and the men hunt. You guys don’t really need anything else , you have each other. I have been to Murphy when we have stayed at my husband’s cousin’s cabin. Very nice little town and I always love the mountains. I always say that I want to live down there. It’s the best of both worlds. You have the beautiful mountains and it’s not too far from the ocean. I love just taking the back roads and driving around to see all of the beautiful places God has created. It’s sad to see all the suffering from the remnants of that terrible hurricane. Lots of prayers for everyone!

Matt was right to have you get a Four Runner. My son had wanted one for a long time and waited to get just the right one. Had it about three months and another driver cut him off and totaled it. He was fortunate to find another one very similar. There are people who have driven those things for 300,000 to 500,000 miles and they just don't quit. Helping family and neighbors is what life should be. Love y'all.

Awesome that you love Patchouli! I love it too and have worn it for about 40 years. Some people don’t like it at all. A little boy at school told me, “you smell so good, like you’ve been playing in the woods all day.”🍂🍁
I subscribed for Walmart delivery and it's changed my life for the better, I live in the city so that's an option at my Walmart. I keep a running open cart and add items as I think of them. I love it.
So typical of our area. Helping family is second nature. Glad you had a day doing things differently and enjoying yourself. Everyone needs some of those days.
Hey Tipper. I so enjoyed your trip to town. Patchouli reminds me of being a teen in the 70s. I liked to burn incense in my bedroom and patchouli was one of my favorites. Growing up in Eastern NC we were very family oriented too. Mama used to go every where with me; the grocery store, family events like baby showers or weddings. As her health declined I would pick up whatever she needed in town. I sure do miss her and all the things she did for me. The first of September made a year she has been gone. When my youngest child was born, & I went back to work, my mama and daddy took care of him for me. They grew a big garden and would pick and shell peas for me. They would have them washed and ready to cook when I would stop after work. Sometimes they would even cook them for me. Mama & I would do our canning and freezing together. Now I try to help my children with their families. I love living in a warm close knit family.
Tipper, you say Massachusetts the same way my mom did, and it brought a tear to my eye. I've never heard anyone else say it that way. She passed away earlier this year 💔 I'm from central NC, and my mom's side of the family has been in this area for generations. No Appalachian blood that I know of, but the funny thing is, watching your videos is like being with my family, especially the older generations who have passed on. Your dialect is exactly what I grew up hearing. Fun fact: I first watched your channel in 2021, I was taking a class on dialects in the USA at ECU and my professor used some of your videos to illustrate the uniqueness of the Appalachian language. Now here it is 2024 and I stumbled across your channel again, and I've been binge-watching your videos (as well as Katie and Corie's) for the last few weeks. Just wanted to say keep doing what you're doing ❤
@CelebratingAppalachia I was born in Ohio, but lived much of my life in Massachusetts. Many of my family members, who lived at the edge of Appalachia, pronounced the state's name exactly as you do. Many of those folks are gone now. Your podcast brings back a lot of sweet little memories. Thank you.
I enjoyed you taking us along. I enjoyed seeing everything. Even the scenes as you drive down the road. I feel like I’m in the vehicle with you looking out the windshield window. I’m older now and can’t travel to the NC mountains like I did when we were younger. I miss going cause we loved our many vacations in the NC mountains ❤
Toyota Forerunner is an amazing vehicle, especially if you don’t live in the rust belt. I enjoyed this video, you were wondering in the live, if we’d like this. You’ve got my vote! I retired 15 years ago and I still have lunch with my secretarial pool. They are wonderful people!🇨🇦❤️🙏
Family is everything! My car is in the shop and dad has taken me to work this week. I feel like a little girl again like when he took us to school. I am so blessed to have my family and your family is so blessed to have you. So tickled you got time for yourself too. We all have to take time to feed our souls and enjoy our friendships. Words of wisdom.. not necessarily from Appalachia--Blood is thicker than water. Family comes first😊
I live in Vancouver BC Canada and our family is very close. My Momma lived with me the last 20 years of her life. In every area, family is important no matter what country you live in. I was in Italy in July and family is so important there also. I understand you are proud to live where you live, but remember it is the same everywhere. People are helping people living their lives and being good humans to one anouther. I love watching your videos and seeing the many similarities and differences. I also love learning more about gardening so I can improve our garden. Thanks Tipper. Ps wanted to buy a mug so badly but the shipping was about the same price as the mug. Would have been almost $70. Gonna have to be happy with my cookbook 😊
Hello, I recently subscribed and after watching several of these videos and being reminded of my younger years visiting family in McCaysville, Ducktown, Mineral Bluff and Blue Ridge, I believe that my military career away from my roots led me down the road of “looking for love in all the wrong places!” I’m 62 and retired and single now and moved back to northeast Georgia to be near old HS friends and family. I think I’ll be looking for events where I can reconnect myself in the hope of finding lasting love with a devoted conservative Christian woman that shares the values I had been raised with. Better late than never! Thanks for the wake up call!
A day in the y’all’s life means a lot. I’m lucky enough to be retired and do the planning, shopping, cooking and catch-alling for my wife at the peak of her career and my 17 year-old daughter at one of the first peak of many in her life.
I absolutely love patchouli and get the oil and candles. I also like tea tree. I would love to go to that store. I hope you have a Wonderful time with your Friends today.😊❤🙏🏻

What a great video! Thank you for taking us to town witg you. Exactly, great traditions of the family being together and helping each other. Wonderful culture! Can't wait to get back! Have a great rest of the week.

We also followed the Oregon Trail earlier in the month. Now, I'm making fall signs with the router. Our school had their home coming parade yesterday. We buy peaches at the roadside stands. They do not last long once I get them home. Older, I get the busier I get thanks to TH-cam. Lol, happy fall.
When my now 37 year old was little, my family was dispersed. My youngest brother lived, and still lives in California. My middle brother lived in a town north of where I lived. My mother lived on the same street, but my mother and I had a complicated relationship. My then husband and I raised our daughter by ourselves. Thanks for sharing your excellent family culture with us Tipper!
What a fun trip Tipper! Thank you for taking us along. I really like the smell of patchouly also. A lot of people don’t. 😃 Glad that you got to catch up with your friends. It’s so important to go and have those fun times together. You’re such a wonderful Mama, daughter, wife and friend. We are blessed to know you through this page.
Thanks for the link to Bluemoonelise shop. I bookmarked it thinking of my daughter. I love the lavender soaps and tried forever to purchase it from Corie, but she was always sold out. She must make great soap! lol This is the next best thing as I like to support small businesses. God bless.
Hello from Southeast Texas! I grew up living about 100 yards from two sets of aunts and uncles, grandparents, and one great aunt and uncle. I wouldn't trade it for anything! I used to ride my bike or roller skate to their houses and had many sleepovers with my cousins! I love that you help the girls now that they are mommas. I live a couple miles from my mom, but when I had my kids she sure did help us a lot and get me groceries whenever I needed them. Our daughter is 20 and is about to graduate from college this spring and I am looking forward to the day I can help when she has kids. Our son too, of course. It is so nice to see other people value their families too.❤
So nice of you to pick up everyone's groceries! Going to town is always " a thing". I recall my husband going to town for supplies and needing something else for his repair or project and then he had to go back again. Glad you will see your girlfriends! You need You time
Thank you Tipper for last week's pretty picture of Granny as a young girl, and it was sweet to see the resemblance of you, Corie and Katie 😊 and thank you for taking us to town today, it was fun to go along with you, and I agree with you about arriving home, there's just no place like Home Sweet Home 🏡💕😊
You're a gem, Ms Tipper.🥰 God bless you for all you do. As we age we really do understand, tis better to give than receive. Oh, I love the smell of cinnamon. It's such a blessing to have longtime friends you can still get together with regularly. Wishing you a lovely week. 😊🧡🌻🍂

You are so kind-thank you 😊
Just beautiful, Tipper ! 💞 🙌🏼
Thank you kindly
Thanks for the link to Bluemoonelise shop. I bookmarked it thinking of my daughter. I love the lavender soaps and tried forever to purchase it from Corie, but she was always sold out. She must make great soap! lol This is the next best thing as I like to support small businesses. God bless.
You are so welcome!
It is so nice to see other people value their families too.❤
Wonderful!
Thank you 😊
God bless you, Tipper❤ Such a kind family 🎉 Thanks for taking us along😊

So nice of you to pick up everyone's groceries! Going to town is always " a thing". I recall my husband going to town for supplies and needing something else for his repair or project and then he had to go back again.
Glad you will see your girlfriends! You need You time
