This sounds fantastic, as usual. I just hope they can keep this singer. It's such a shame the band always have had the curse of losing their singers because otherwise, they've always been reliable and talented.

Personally, i don't think the length is a problem, but maybe that's because i just love the band and their music. I'm really looking forward to the release and especially the song Astéria 🖤 Thank you for another great video and detailed analysis 🤘🏻

As someone who also has a promo copy, I can say those 74 minutes fly by quickly every time, lol Personally, though, 60+ minute albums are easy for me, as long as the songwriting is varied, so the songs don't start to blend together and bore me after a while. This album certainly isn't one dimensional in its songwriting, in any way, so at least for me, that makes it very fun and easy to get through multiple times in a row. Favorites songs for me are Reborn, Ghosts, My Curse is My Redemption, Illusion is Their Name and Asteria.

The New Singer of the band sing amazing and the song are awesome. Hopefully they will come back next year in Montreal. I enjoyed the tour of xandria with battle Beast and Kamelot
I look forward to both albums Xandria abd Delain. However i feel Delain is not only bigger band but their sound is more diverse, using pop, 80s rock, synth heavy as well as symphonic metal. Xandria is strictly symphonic.

@@azidihaqeem7882 agreed. It was not a criticsm. It waa to explain that their genres are slightly different. Also Xandria has never toured north america. I hope they do though. I will go.

@@peymannazer7089 I actually say Xandria perform in LA in May 25th 2017 during the Theater of Dimensions tour. VIP and everything. Phenomenal performance and even got the drummer's drumstick as well as Marco's guitar pick that he used.
Coming here, I kinda knew that you would commend on the length of the album ;). Never had problems with that myself as long as that album keeps me engaged. And this one does, from start to finish. The one thing I don't know is if it keeps me engaged for several rotations, just because it is so catchy and rich that it feels slightly overproduced, and Ambre is using her pop voice a tad too much for my taste (and the only vocalist that can get away with this with me over long period of times is Sharon den Adel, because her voice is just pure perfection). She's a great vocalist though, and versatile in a way that we don't see too often in Metal, so I really hope they keep her around this time.
All in all, it's a great record, and while I might slightly prefer Beyond the Black's newest outing, I can easily see it make my top five of february in the same way BtB did in January.
The issue of the length only becomes an issue with multiple plays. Hard to play it on loop because of it since it wears off the excitement of that first play.
@@APREACTS Ah ok, that I understand. I'm generally not one to play albums on loop because there's too much exciting new stuff out there. This said, because of Insomnium, I might miss out on most of march and april
I don't know what you mean with the length, other bands like Epica and Nightwish do also have albums with that long (or even longer) length, I feel like it's not really a problem here.

Dark waters
I may get a bit of flak for saying this, but this album is a disappointment in my view. It sounds pretty run-of-the-mill, and it lacks elements that make it stand out among the competition. The instrumentals are solid, but they fail to make a genuine impression on me. I also feel as though Ambre's appearance has a tendency to cloud people's judgement. She's very attractive. Arguably the most attractive vocalist Xandria have had. She's not a bad singer by any means, and being able to growl appeals to many people as well, but compared to Dianne and Manuela, or other contemporaries for that matter, she just doesn't reach the same heights, and that's not solely about her range. Ambre does a fine job live, and with further experience, her stage presence may eventually rival that of Dianne, so it's not as though I don't have faith in her or the rest of the band. It's just that Xandria's history makes you a bit uneasy, given how they've treated their previous vocalists. I just hope they've learned their lesson by now, because I don't think they can survive yet another departure.
Just heard the new single two worlds and Its epic bombastic and heavy the definition of symphonic metal.
The album Its going to be great i think and hope to reach the epicness of the neverworlds end album which is by far their best work.

Its maybe one of the best symohonic metal songs ever written!
