The pieces are: Journey to the Centre of the Earth by Peter Graham Stroke by Stroke by Jeff Beal Turbine by John Mackey Turbine was replaced for Indianapolis and Grand Nationals by Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis by Ralph Vaughn Williams.
oh, well a little late lol. I already found out the theme at St. Louis. We went on right after you guys. does Southaven ring a bell...you're music was awesome.
Turbine by John Mackey It was the closer to the Secret Storm show in 07 The show wasn't done so they used it as the closer for performances until the show was done The real closer they used was either Sketches on a Tudor Psalm by Fisher Tull or Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis by Ralph Vaughn Williams (I can't differentiate because they share the same theme)
Idk about before 89, but Lake Park won it from 89 to 98 and in 02 and 03, Lincoln Way Community won it in 99, Marian won in 83-88, and 00-06. Lincoln Way East has won the past two years. Now they've been undefeated in their class (4A/3A) for 28 years. (Thank you ilmarching! lol)
heyy can't wait to see you in the rose parade.... haha jk i won't see you i'll be marching too.... i go to el dorado but haha good luck anyways you guys are good
i dont think it's fair that it goes by school size. they're in the same class as smaller schools, but a good portion of their school is in the marching band, so they have a small school but a huge band =\ oh well
i think about this, and probably the second thought i get about those times besides how epic they were was how BAD everything and everybody smelled, from shoe rooms to poncho boxes and changing buses. i would go into nationals thinking, "can these uniforms take another round of this? For the love of mercy somebody please wash these!" great times
Close. Lake Park won 1979, Herscher won 1980-1982, Marian won 1983-1988. Lake Park won Grand Champion from 1989-1998, Lincoln-Way Community won in 1999. Marian won in 2000 and 2001, Lake Park in 2002 and 2003. Marian won 2004-2006. Lincoln-Way East won 2007 and 2008. Also, Marian is undefeated in Class Competion since 1980. I thought they have won the state championship for liek twenty soemthing yrs in a row
did they win state?
it's called Cosmic Proportions
it's evolution themed, how ironic for a Marian CATHOLIC band
it's not ironic at all. the Catholic Church accepts the big bang, as well as evolution.
Marian did Clair de Lune in 2004,.
No. It goes by school size.
cosmic speculations actualy
huge band :|
no they got second, Lincoln-Way East won
lol because they are in 3A
its ironic because a catholic person/school believes god created the world. not the big bang theory. so its ironic they are doing it.
