I'm an Aussie and rate this as the best international game I ever saw, it had everything controversy a moment of madness a great comeback and 80 minutes of pure entertainment.
What an absolute phenomenal playing career Tommy Leulai has had, in addition to being a stellar servant for Wigan over two spells , winning everything for the club he also achieved so much at international level including that classic 2008 World Cup final . Good luck with the coaching role Tommy.

What a way to end an 8 game losing streak! I was sitting at my place in Brunei Darussalam, and a long way from home, when this final came on live. My Filipino girlfriend said, "oh, is this the All Blacks?" knowing I was a fan. I replied something similar but no and the Kiwis will do well to stay close to the Australian team. Well, what unfolded was the most exhilarating game of league! Perhaps the turning point was when the Kiwi wing, Perrett, was legitimately tackled back into the in goal area and instead of a goal line kick the Aussies were penalized. Anyway, to beat the Kangaroos on their home turf and against a team full of greats. Incredible. By the way, unbelievably one of the 'second half gone MIA' Ozzie's was awarded the player of the match. Fien, for his kicking and control, was my pick but all of the 17 Kiwis were terrific.
Arguably the best ever Kangaroos team and got beaten in a World Cup final on home soil. That team had that QLD dynasty which is rated as the best Origin sides of all time.
I think kiwis have really good future with a lot of super young player. They can win the next world cup. RTS, Nas, Manu, nikora, isaako, , hugues, Marsters, Smith, Dylan Brown, Nicoll klokstad etc... They will have a really strong squad in 2021

Reading the comments bhah Great game by the kiwis, it is probably the best Aus team but it was not JTs night the kiwis had him on lock. I liked the anthem not the greatest but he sang it with passion. Slater played great he thought it was a open hole but if it was anyone on wing but Vatuvei he would’ve soared through. Marshall had a bad first half but bounced back real quick securing the win, also number 17 forward was beast. The commentators are heavily biased especially the one denying it was a penalty try Slater caught in in bounce, kiwi fullback would’ve caught in air and landed before Slater.
