I believe your theory, but I see Ventus as much of a victim, maybe even more so, than Riku. Riku did commit crimes, arguably conscious. But Ventus has his memories straight up manipulated. I don't think he's a bad person, he was just dealing with a parasitic dark side that he had no control over.

The first one being that Darkness transformed into Ava after Ven regained his sense of self. Or the the second theory being that Darkness implanted fake memories into Ven and that scene never really happened.

Ventus being from the Union X is not really a retcon since we never knew anything about his past or how xehanort found him, he was the most focus in the birth by sleep story, he was already important from the start.
@@Kyle-fn9tz Mate kh fans use the word retcon incorrectly a LOT and don't care about the truth.
Not gonna lie, ppl act like the series is confusing and just pulls stuff out of its butt, but besides time travel mixed in with the slightly confusing stuff (dreams, data, etc) it's actually pretty easy to follow. Heck, the introduction of Ansem the Wise 2 games later actually makes the story better.

I feel like if Ven is revealed this, we're gonna get a repeat of Sora's scream scene, but even words.
I still believe Ven is being framed. Darkness is the killer. 2 theories I have:
1. Darkness used Ven's body to kill Strelitzia against Ven's will. Then Ven would faint, giving Darkness the time to disguise himself as Ava.
2. Darkness jumps seemingly out of nowhere to kill Strelitzia, scaring Ventus into fainting, again giving Darkness time to disguise himself as Ava.
Either way, Ven wakes up when Ava (Darkness in disguise) walks into the house and hands Ven the book.
Ven, unaware that Darkness placed a piece of himself inside him, follows the fake Ava to the bridge in front of the tower.
So this is my theory about "Darkness" and Vanitas's existence. Those two used to be the same being at some point.
"Darkness" used to be one being before. When the entity entered and nested within Ventus's pure heart, and since it has been residing his heart for how many years. Until Xehanort took notice of it, dividing the "Darkness" out of Ventus's heart, and since darkness is usually influenced by emotions, this created Vanitas, a being made of negative emotions and thus taking a part of Ventus's heart and memories as Dandilion. Vanitas didn't have a face, however, due Ventus's broken heart healing thanks to Sora, this gave "him" a face and therefore, an identity.
Upon seeing Vanitas again KH3, upon being defeated, he claims that he choose to be Darkness and that is the path he decided to. Therefore developing his own identity and existence. While it's true that they a different people from before, Vanitas is part of Ventus now. He is Ventus's Darkness, his flaws, his negative emotions, the ugly side that barely shows and his "brother".
The real "Darkness" was the Dark Inferno that was hidden within Ventus's Station of Awakening and revealed itself to Sora. By defeating that being, Sora freed Ventus from "Darkness". However, it seems that none of his memories during KHUX hasn't come back to him.
*TLD;R:* The Darkness and Vanitas used to the same being before. However, now Vanitas is his own person and part of Ventus's heart. And the real Darkness appears as Dark Inferno that Sora fought during KH3 Re:Mind.

@@HMK I feel like Darkness somehow forced his hands. Darkness impersonated Ava to make him a Dandelion, then tells him to go to a house that Strelitzia was heading to then Ven happens to kill her. I get the impression that Ven did kill her but it was entirely his own will.

Also HMK, if you look at the right of the room Lauriam and Maleficent fought in, the Ark there isn't there. There was six (not including the vessel that Maleficent planned to use to get back to the future). And when we see Lauriam passed out, there's only *FIVE* left.

I theories that the other 5 were used by the foreteller at the ending of KH3 except Ava was replaced by Luxu.

1. Skuld (who is Project X)
2. Ven (which we see in BBS)
3. Larxene (possibly)
4. Luariuem (possibly)
5. either brain or ephmere
now 4 of my options that could be the ones that took the Pods (3-5 im not too confident but looking at the story lines and the character files, Luariuem was found from Xigbar in 358/5 which is after the KHUX days and Larxene just came for the ride, which is stated in her character files, and nothing else of her is found, like i said not too confident on people 3-5 just theorizing from someh what info we have) but very confident Skuld and Ven used those Pods, so why not the other 2 unnion leaders, right? as my pick for option 5 i believe ephmere took the pod since in KHUX ending after you defeat Master Ava he appears to take you to the future (another world) and brain was left behind and rebuilt daybreak town transformed it into scala and had a descendant which became Master Eraques

Remember the scene in 358/2 days where Xigbar got shook by Xion because he thought it was Ventus? It makes so much sense now.
It makes sense as to why Vanitas would orchestrate these chain of events to ensure the Keyblade War will live on. In Birth by Sleep, when Vanitas took control over Ventus, he mentioned that the X-Blade will open a door that leads to all worlds and that Keyblade warriors from each would gather to fight for the light in Kingdom Hearts. For some reason, that scene sticks out to me since Vanitas’ motives differ from Master Xehanort in KH3. When Master Xehanort finally got the X-Blade, he revealed that he was using it to engulf the worlds in darkness to make it reborn in pure light. So something tells me that when Vanitas got his hands on the X-Blade, he wanted to use it for his own goals that stemmed all the way back in Union X. Just a theory.
the final scenes of bbs keyblade graveyard are weird in general. for example master xehanort, before he takes over terras body, say he "swore to survive to see what lies beyond the keyblade war"
to whom did he swore? and how did he know how to transfer his heart?
@@jokesterio1456 To me, it looked like Xehanort swore to himself that he would survive the Keyblade War since he knew that his plans would take time, and he was at a point where he was old enough to pass away naturally. That was why he prepared Terra as a vessel to continue his ambitions even longer. I may be wrong, but the No Name keyblade is a keyblade of heart. Maybe the master of Xehanort and Eraqus taught them about that. Maybe those answers will be unfolded in KH Dark Road.
You know, there have been small details that's been bugging me that nobody seems to bring up except in passing. Young Xehanort's eyes being silver while talking to the Master of Masters, Vanitas having this sudden fascination for Kingdom Hearts and the Keyblade War after merging with Ventus' body again, that sort of stuff. And then an idea crossed my mind. What if the Master of Masters...is the first Nobody? And the Darkness...is the first Heartless? Something to think about.
My theory is that this is when Darkness entered Ventus. It disguised itself as Ava to get Ven alone, then possessed him, and then basically went dormant inside him. By the time Ven was studying under Xehanort, Darkness had become so closely linked to him that it could no longer leave on its own, which is why Ventus was hurt by Xehanort removing it (Vanitas) from him.
I don't believe that Vanitas is actually Ven's own darkness. Vanitas is the capital-D Darkness that led Maleficent to the ark. It chose to look like Sora because if it took the form of the person who healed Ven, it could more easily convince everyone (the players included) that it was just Ven's darkness as opposed to being the source of all darkness everywhere.

I just realized why the Masters of Masters wanted the Keyblade War to re-occured. If Darkness has the power we have been hinted toward, it mean it can possess people, shapeshift, enter dreams, and alter memories. That means it could be anybody, or everybody, even your best friend.
With that, I propose a theory. What if the Anti- Black Coat Nightmare is a form of Darkness? Remember what it looks like, if you will. It is Young Xehanort, with no face and red eyes. It is similar to the Dark Chirithy the Player meets. Right before Sora falls into darkness, he see Young Xehanort up close as he is about to be swallowed by darkness to become Xehanort's vessel. Also, the Final Boss Riku fights in Dream Drop Distance is Ventus's Armor , covered in darkness.This mean Darkness can use being's memory and trauma to switch forms.

That could be what Ventus going through right now. "1st Gen. Heartless" Vanitas.
My question now is: Why did the darkness choose Ventus?
These new revelations have convinced me even more that the journey Ven, Aqua, and Terra are on to find Sora may also lead them to Ava or Strelitzia. The evidence isn't strong; it's just something I can see happening.
Cause ventus is naive which makes him a perfect host. Darkness said that in remind when you connect to ventus heart.

It can’t be argued that Ventus remembers what happened, so he could not have done it willingly, either the darkness killed Strelitzia, and erased Ventus’s memories to use him as a pawn, or The darkness forced Ventus to do it, and erased his memories. Either way Ven was not involved of his own accord
Theres an ark missing (Far right). Also, notice ven holding his head like he did in BBS whenever his memory triggers. & remember vanitas wont look like sora because he only look like sora because ven connected his heart to sora’s. So vanitas could look exactly like ven.
As for HMK’s questions: I thought it wouldve been ven once i remember that he had darkness extract from him by master xehanort. But no I dont look at ven different because I LOVE VANITAS😂. My fave KH villain & 3rd character (sora & roxas 1st & 2nd)
Think Vanitas said (in either BBS or KH3) he was faceless/formless before Ven's heart bonded with Sora's.

I have always thought the event in the light dim house had something to do with Ava instead of Ventus. There is something about Avaricia that does not feels right.
The story might be trying to explain that Ventus is darkness and that it have been exploited by no other than Master Ava herself. This is what I have been understanding as I see the information between the lines.
My theory is that if Lauriam will discover Ventus' dark act even if it was either against his will, or treachery Lauriam will unleash his rage and slowly gives into darkness and his rage toward Ventus causes him to become a heartless and Marluxia.
So people think Darkness and Vanitas are two separate entities? Many people forget that the Vanitas that was with the real Organization timed traveled from BBS time, the original one rejoined Ventus's heart when they struck down each other
ReMind proved that Darkness and Vanitas ARE SEPARATE ENTITIES. But, they have both been inside of Ventus regardless.
I can't help but Wonder how lauriam is going to take this news. I mean Ven is his friend and there is now a high probability that he's responsible for his sister's disappearance/death considering he's not aware of strelitzia's death, only her being missing.

It's not so much Ventus as the perpetrator of these crimes but rather Ventus under the influence of Vanitas, even though Vanitas didn't exist as a separate entity yet at the time of KHUX.
So we will see Ventus vs Laureum later down the line then? That will be cool to see

There’s also the matter of Master Ava being there when it happened. This could confirm Master Ava is Darkness or is an accomplice of Darkness.
This also could mean that when Darkness & Ventus time traveled, Darkness had tampered and have
control of where Ventus’ destination needed to be. To encounter Master Xehanort.
Imagine Player found out about Strelizia and how she got killed by Ventus..Oh..boy. That isn't going be good.
But player has like no connection to her. Now her brother on the other hand.... if he's still alive that is.

The big question is wat happened to Ava after union cross, why didnt she show up with the other foretellers at the end of KH3?
TheMrCatfishbilly she put destiny on a different track than what MoM had intended for them to do, it’s likely she was excluded from their plans then after, or had continued to go off of their radar and do her own thing instead of letting all of fate be dictated by a book

I honestly think ven is still a good person and not a murderer. If i remember from reMind, Vanitas did say that he was darkness, but when sora went to ven's heart, sora did talk with darkness for a bit and even said that ven's heart was too pure. I'm wondering if ventus has more than just vanitus in his heart. Maybe darkness is being a stowaway and hiding in ven, and that darkness is an old nemesis to the master of masters, which is why Darkness wanted to mess up MoM's plan so badly. its just y thoughts and just like sora, ven has more heart, or rather darknesses, than normal. I guess thats why sora can use rage mode and it progressingly gets more powerful, jk on that one.
There was a similar theory someone posted a long time ago that Vanitas was the one who killed Ienzo's parents in this way. However, Ienzo's character file makes it sound like he can't remember his parents (Nomura being lazy perhaps) so maybe they died in an accident but Ienzo survived and lost his memories of them. Not my favorite theory. I hope Lauriam's okay.
I think Darkness used his influence to "bolster" Ven's own darkness, I don't think that they're the same person, though.

I was wondering if the pods are in daybreaktown, and daybreaktown is upside in the waters of Scala, then how were the pods visible in Hollow Bastion?

I honestly think the other union leaders will know that Ven didn't act on his own free will. He's way too kind to actually kill someone in that way. I think Brain, being as smart as he is, will figure out that the darkness took control of Ventus and that darkness forced him to kill Strelitzia against his will. Then it wiped his memory and slightly altered it. Now those memories are coming back and Ventus will struggle with the memories he's regained. Even though Ventus was involved in the crime, he wasn't actively involved. I think Darkness is to blame for Strelitzia's death. It wanted this outcome. Ven can't be blamed for the active actions of darkness. It seems to me that Ventus lost his free will after Darkness manipulated him. Ven probably, at this moment in time, has darkness inside of him just biding its time and waiting to come out and strike when the time is right. Ven has been held captive to the darkness from the time of union x to the time of KH3. When we see Ventus in BBS, he seems to have more free will and it even shows in kingdom hearts three. Ventus was better off not having Vanitas inside him. Ven's heart is so pure that I'm sure he's been manipulated more times than once. I really don't believe that Ven, our Ven, is truly evil.
Yeah I'm going to go out on a limb, and say yeah Lauriam just bit the dust I mean he has to turn into a Nobody somehow who better to cause that then the Mistress of all Evil.

But there is a major plot hole. In Union X, if a Keyblade Wielder fell to darkness their Chirithy would become dark too. Ven's as we see in the end of Kingdom Hearts 3 is still pure. So it stands to reason, Ventus was a witness, but the culprit wiped his memory of it.

With the BBS Trio venturing the RoD, I can see the trio arriving in the ruins of Daybreak Town (assuming it's still in RoD) and Ven's memories of his time as Dandelions resurfacing upon recognizing the ruins. Maybe can even cause him to faint or something, which makes Terra and Aqua stop their search in RoD.
We're so close to the truth of what and who led to Daybreak Town's destruction at the end
I have a theory: Star Wars Sith have yellow eyes - Kingdom Hearts (and I know with the norted stuff) but if you have in your body more darkness then light will you get yellow/golden eyes? I think the more darkness you have in your body/mind/soul whatever you slightly get the yellow/golden eyes and your dark part controlls your body just like with Ventus.
Well, since Xehanort's eyes where originally silver, (And anti-aqua had the same eyes, despite not beign 'Norted) it seems the yellow eyes are indeed a side effect of overexposure to darkness. And since Xehanort had yellow eyes when he posessed the otherss, they got them too, I guess.

Sooo... I've been thinking something like this for quite some time:
This Darkness character began outside of Ventus, but seem how naive he was, took advantage of it, possessed him, made sure he stole the rulebook from Strelitzia (worth pointing she was also naive), then after establishing a "link" with him, helped Maleficent go to the future so she can be the bridge to the union leaders, went back in Ventus and just waited, until he got out of him by force (Xehanort), and received a new name: "Vanitas"

I think ventus did do it but unknowingly and believed he was chosen, HOWEVER, if darkness did indeed alter his memories to make it seem like Ava "chose" him how did darkness know that Ava was supposed to be choosing the new leaders. . .who else knew
Cameron Mills it’s also possible that darkness just possessed Ven, he doesn’t have memories of killing someone, and also shape-shifted into Ava to lead him astray even further, and probably was the “Ava” he had been conversing with the whole time
I always had a feeling that Ven is involved in this. Ven is my favorite character and I have to admit that it shook me pretty hard. I started hating Vanitas even more than I already have 😂. But nevertheless, Ven was controlled by him or as you said, he took over. I see Ven in a little different light now. But nothing will change my love for him. I always found that Ven is a mysterious character. Something special and completely different from the others. I am excited to find out more and why the darkness picked Ven. No matter what, he'll always be my No. 1!
ok.... with this new evidence, we can ascertain what happens next to our main heroes: we know that Ventus, Lauriam, and Elrena will use the pods to arrive by the time Sora is born. and also using deductive reasoning, we can determine that Subject X is Skuld. and thanks to the Lights of the Past sequence in 3, Ephimer is pretty much confirmed dead by that time. That leaves one question: where is Player and Brain?
It's not gonna be ventus, but that ava apperance figure instead, killing strelitzia amd causing ventus amnesia to make him believe he did it
Another video idea I have for you is any upcoming game ideas besides Dark Road, like how another theory I have is one revealing how Mickey got to the Dark World in KH1 before he ran into Aqua in Fragmentary Passage, or a game revealing the origin story of Ansem The Wises Aprentices: Xehanort/Ansem, Braig, Dilan, Even, Aleaus, Ienzo, Lea, Isa. Also potentially if they are not shown in Union X a game to reveal the past of Demyx, and Luxord when they were human since it was revealed in KH3 that they existed during the Keyblade War.
something I noticed, 1 of the 6 machines was busted, so now there is only 5 and 2 might be damaged, making 2 spots possible for memory lose while the other 3 likely leads to a separation of body and heart leading to their nobodies and heartless.

If you look closely there was six pods before Maleficent and Laruim fought. But you see that one of the arks are gone when you see Laruim on the floor. I speculate that Maleficent left forward in time and returned in KH2.

When I first witnessed the cutscenes I was both confused and mind blown coming up with multiple theories as to what could have happened for both scenarios.

few people mention that there's one pod missing from the ark and since that's the case probably darkness destroyed it afterwards
Okay so from what I've watched in theories and stories. When Maleficent and Lariuam clash she beats him and enters the far right missing pod, her heart then traverses time to the point in KH2 when her raven brings her robe to the 3 fairies, they speaking her name anchors her heart to that timeline again, Just as master xehanort did to return.
I wanna play union cross, but at the same time I really really don't.
Don't bother. It's gone full pay-to-win now and I'm sick and tired of it. Better to just watch the cutscenes online, the story's the only good thing about it anyway.
I played it for the first two hours and I decided not to continue.
It really makes me wonder if ventus was really worthy of the keyblade

What was that gigantic nobody behind Marluxia during his final fight in Re:Chain of memories? At first it meant nothing to me but could it have been related to Strelitzia in some manner as far fetched as it could be?
I think that all this information is very interesting and i think since Ventus is such a nice person he was easy manipulated to kill her by the Darkness posseing him.

Wow seems like Ven is just constantly being manipulated. I'd feel worse but he makes it so easy. And jesus christ why can no one age is this series properly. It'd be nice to see an older Ventus at least to help us separate him from Roxas now. Also does this mean Darkness has a connection with not only Sora, but Roxas, Xion, and possibly Namine.
I believe that "What I am is Darkness" just meanst that Vanitas was one of the 13 pieces of the X-Blade that represent the Darkness. Like the 7 Princesses are the Light.
But what I don't believe in is that Darkness=Evil and Light=Good.... Light can used for Evil deeds, while Darkness can be used for the good. (As you clearly see with Riku... and Roxas combines Light and Darkness just perfectly...)
What if the Realm of Darkness, where the 13 dark parts of the X-Blade should be, was not always the Dark Place we know it as.... What if, before the Realm of Light split, the Realm of Darkness had its own humans, Animals and so on.... We have Keyblades of Light (Clearly representing the Keys of Masters of Light) but we also have Keyblades of Darkness. It is clear that there must have been another civilization in the Realm of Darkness. I don't believe that the Heartless where always the only things that lived there. Maybe all the Heartless there even were the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness of this time. The thing is... If a Heart of the Realm of Light countains to much Darkness, it can happen that this Being will become a Heatless. What if the same happend to the people of the Realm of Darkness? What if something or someone of the realm of light tried a little experiment.... In the realm of light hate and anger produces pure darkness... what if something else happens in the Realm of Darkness... What if it was normal for them to have a dark heart if they lived a normal happy life? What if anger produced light? So, what I am trying to say is.... somenthing happened... The Master of Master is not a good being... maybe he is even the reason why the Realm of Darkness is how it is...
Sure... maybe I think to much about it.... maybe my fantasy is just going wild... But I will never believe that a being, that was born with a Heart of Darkness, is automaticly evil... In fact... I am not even willing to believe that Vanitas is pure evil... Maybe his goal for the Keyblade war... Is to use it to bring the Realm of Darkness he knew before he began to call himself only "Darkness" back...
Sure it sounds weird... But I always wondered... Maybe his goal was to return his old life, that the ancient keyblade war, even before Daybreak Town, took from him. And Maybe The Master of Master was even the Mastermind in Destroying the Realm of Darkness and purging the people of the Dark Realm.... "I Will purge that Darkness in you.... WITH LIGHT!" or something like that.

Well I believe that in KH III when Vanitas is defeated he just ends up becoming a heart (losing its body form and so). And with that he now has the ability to travel back in time, under the name of Darkness, and that as it is stated in his character files (supper intriguing by the way) he sets in motion his own plan to finish everything...finish ventus, finish Xehanort, finish the light and the darkness...cause it final goal is to simply go back to to emptiness (his words in his character file). An for that, being part of ventus heart, he is able to go back to KHUX timeline and mess with everything and possesses ventus. It is all an endless loop :/
My theory for The Ark is since there were 6 in total and Maleficent used/damaged 1 as for the others they were used by Ventus and the first 4 Foretellers since they were all the same age at the ending of KH3, the reason I don't think Ava or Luxu was among them was due to the fact that at the end Ava was not among them plus how Luxu had a more childish/teenage voice in Union Cross and he had a more adult voice as Braig and Xigbar so he must have normally aged and somehow survived for so long.
So late seeing this... but... omg I knew this was what happened. I feel so connected with ven, and I could tell this is what happened even before remind!
I think that Darkness (or maybe someone else) is trying to get their hands on the book of prophecies. I mean, what is the purpose of Darkness doing the switch on the Union leaders? Ventus as of right now is his usual self, so I don't see him cause any trouble that would lead to another keyblade war. However, if Everglow's tranlations are correct, the last update confirmed that strelitzia was meant to receive the book of prophecies. Darkness probably wanted the book, but when it realized that she never had the book, Darkness needed to place Ventus as a replacement in order to avoid suspision (which would have worked, if Ava didn't warn Brain with that note she left behind).
i can only theorize that that darkness who took strelitzia's life was Vanitas before he even had a physical form, Sora's form

Well, if it’s any consolation for me, Ven didn’t do it willingly. He was possessed by Darkness and killed Strelitzia.
This reveal makes Ven look like he's a sleeper agent,mk ultra style!

Seems like there’s a link between being touched by a great, insidious darkness and loss of memory; Ventus can’t remember Strilitzia’s death and loses his memory after traveling to the future (and again when Ventus is extracted), Skuld (we assume) loses her memory after being sent to the future where she becomes Subject X. In both cases, I think darkness (or The Darkness) somehow causes or interferes with the time travel. Terra-Xehanort lost his memory after battling Aqua by using vast amounts of darkness, and then we have Lauriam and Elrena losing their memories of the Union Cross days after traveling to the future (or from becoming Nobodies, as they didn’t seem to remember their former selves).
So Ven is involved with an entity (darkness) that might be older then everyone else, there's yet another layer going on we just don't have many pieces to.
Im still confused as to how ventus was able to know the spot to look for the other leaders if it wasn’t actually ava telling him, maybe a plot hole idk?

Maybe the darkness taking control of Ven was something like sonic.exe taking control of sonic
This theory is probably way out there but.... What if its the master of masters inside ventus? As we know luxu changes appearances often. Maybe M. O. M is the darkness inside ventus that killed strelitzia to put himself in the knew Union leaders but he had no form, but then when ventus was saved by soras heart vanitas then got the form we know. Maybe inside the box is M. O. M true form that vanitas will take over.
All this makes me intrigued on whether or not Lauriam will know all of this and his return in the future of the series. With his memory returned along with both Ven and Roxas being up in action again, how would he react to seeing them again? Especially if this was part of the memories that returned back to him after his fight in KH3. While it's true that Roxas and Ventus are separate people, the fact that they resemble each other doesn't mean that one can't spark feelings/emotions caused by the other.
A restored Lauriam and Elrena might have a bigger role in the future. Or perhaps even be a third party similar to how Maleficent has been? Keyblade wielders that fully side with neither the M.O.M. nor the Guardians of Light.
