It's hard to say just how excited I am for you, Isa! You've created beeeaaaaautiful patterns and your techniques are obviously polished. Congratulations :)
@@isainstitches I was wondering whether it will still look good without the darts, because I’m a beginner so I’m still not confident with making darts yet 🥺
@@zhr14 Darts are located where you've got volume on your body. If you remove the darts and you have boobs the shirt just isn't gonna fit (unless it's a very wide garment - not in this shirt's case). They're not here for aesthetic reasons :))
@@isainstitches I see, so it would be a totally different look, right? I’m fine with any fit as long as it looks good. Thanks for the explaination! Btw, do you have any good reference on how to make darts?
@@zhr14 It would be the same look, the only difference is it'd be for someone with no boobs. But then you've got to modify the pattern a bit, or else the pieces won't fit with one another right. if you're a beginner and are blocking at the darts I actually wouldn't really recommend that sewing project, it's more advanced
Thanks for the video, I loved your intro, I really like when I am able to see clothes from lots of perspectives. The timestamps were very useful. Can't wait for more videos.
It can be fantastic with crisp silk, one that'd be a bit stiff (maybe not the satin nor microfiber kind because it's so fluid the puffy sleeves would slouch)
Can you further explain how you did the ruffling at 2:16? How did you just run it through while it automatically ruffled? Did you change the machine settings? Please let me know :)
Hi Mina, so glad you like it!! The ruffle strips are 7 cm high and then the length depends on the size you picked, the detailed measurements are on the presentation file that comes along with the pattern :)
i made this collar style with the short puff sleeve and its amazing! so cute and the fit is flattering, but im feeling anxious about cutting the fabric when attaching the collar as the fabric is a liiittle bit fraying there, is there any way to execute the collar without cutting through the fabric? anyway love the 3 designs of collar ive made and love them all (:
I think you're talking about cutting one cm deep on the side of the button placket right? Hmm...I think the construction would have to change to avoir this step, one would have to add a collar stand (maybe?). That's how I see it
Bro this is so hard to understand for me, I guess its a good video according to the comments but I really cant see or understand what shes doing unfortunately.

You're very welcome! 😘😘
I need a Michelle in my life now!
I'M LAUGHING HARD!!!!!
Beautiful - I can actually see myself in the white blouse - that stand up collar looks detachable.
Yes, i think white is just the best for a shirt in the end! The collars aren't detachable but can be done, you'd have to improvise a bit!
your creations are as beautiful as you are. 🥰
Thanks babe
I was looking for this pattern for a long time as I want to replicate one I had years ago and I loved it.
So glad my pattern could be useful and bring a bit of this old shirt back
so gorgeous
Thanks!
Oh Jesus this is more than I can handle.
So satisfying to watch 😍😍😍
Thank you!!
this was awesome to watch, you explain things very well and i can't wait to dive into making mine. think it could work with silk? :)

Ah that's a shame! You might not be able to articulate what's missing for you to understand but if you have an idea I'm all ears!
