Rimuru is not really op , millim is 10time stronger them him right now and others too but dont want to spoil it to much. But why he is corky to them watch the ova´s the classtrip then you now but after s1 and befor s2 so you know a bit more of black too. sry not the best english but i enjoy your recations :D. And Demon Lord is just a titel like King or Baron or stuff like this for MONSTERS and then it give the real demon race but it will bit more explain later and in the ova´s. Thats what most people dont understand too.

Even a large variety of carnivores utilize this teaching technique.

They really cut a lot of stuff to make it work. If I remember correctly in the novel, the journey itself took a while, because rimuru was a adventurer before meeting yuki. And the person who told him where the entrance was, was the elf who predicted Shizu. That's why it seems to be going so fast.
Time frames are skipped hard in this anime in general, that's why it seems like he finds everything instantly, but instead, it takes a lot longer. Rimuru's total teaching time at that academy was around a couple of months yet goes by in a couple of episodes.
Yeah, they just skipped the entire adventurer arc and put it right inside opening season 2
It's shows like this that make me want to read it after watching it to find out what I missed. Was the same with Arifureta.

Please do not drop this anime. I made that mistake after watching season 1, and I totally regret it. You'll see. The stakes couldn't get any higher in season 2. Even in this season, Rimuru already met powerful threats. Remember, Charybdis, and Milim
S1 is for building up all the story.. S2 is where we get serious.. 😂And chloe is like shizu.. 👌

Aw, man. These episodes remind me how absolutely KAWAII Chloe is!!!! Unbearably sweet and chill. She will always be in the "Best Girl" slot with Shizue and Shuna.
Btw, not gonna lie.....I habe watched a LOT of anime since my first time with Tensura. Our of the many, many tragic, sad, wronged characters out there, Shizue gets to me just about every time. The moments when she pops back up on the show almost always get a year from me, because of the unbelievable existence she has to go through. It breaks my heart. Each time.

Rimuru is smarter than other normal anime MC who don't hesitate for fight,He didn't take fight with Milim,carrion, guild master,gazel, Veldora,,,, because as he said he don't even try to pick a unnecessary fight that he can't win,he don't wanted to fight charybdis because charybdis was stronger than Rimuru,but Rimuru had to protect his village so he fought it,and after hours of fighting he damaged only 30% of charybdis,,,,so it's not like Rimuru is so strong,he is just smart and good in negotiations,which prevent him to pick fight with stronger opponent

Ramiris is annoying but also pretty funny lol. And yeah I love how each one of the kids has a completely separate personality than the others. A very eclectic group.

It took longer in the light novels, the anime kinda skipped over a few months
It is not explained well in the show, and you skipped over it but the merchant buys healing potions in Balmung from a dwarf who gets them from Rimiru City in Jura Forest. So, he has heard rumors of OP slime. and he knows that being the slime's friend will be good for him. Also, I think he was handing out healing potions during the dragon attack so legit helping people is a part of how he makes money.

Without season 1, season 2 wouldn't hit the same, insant gratification doesn't hit as hard as when you work and build it up.

I think generally speaking, people who go into this anime expecting any sort of hardship, are in to be very disappointed. That isn't to say it doesn't ever happen, but I am saying that isn't the point of this kind of anime. Slime is actually lot more about politics and how Rimuru's interaction with the world affects things. Bringing Japanese culture over and replicating it in another world. Until you understand and accept that, you will continue to complain and have a much harder time enjoying it for what it is.
Anyway, season 2 will be more up your ally I guess. But I will say, don't keep expecting hardships after that. You are going to ruin your enjoyment of the anime otherwise.

I don't think she actually likes the show, lol... She wants it to be a standard Battle Shonen, where the fights are hard, and last 40-60 episodes, like Naruto or One Piece.

It's not that she is expecting it to be a battle shonen, it's more that she is expecting more stakes in the things that he is doing. For him to have more difficulty. Season 2 will give her some of that, but I also think it's a mistake for her to continue to expect it, as that isn't what the show is meant to be about and really wish she would stop. It's always going to be harder to enjoy an anime if you continue to expect things the anime isn't going to typically do.

I mean it's not Dragonball Z or Naruto with a slime MC... This is an Isekai, I think she's new to the Isekai genre in general. They are more laid back, less suspense driven.
@@Chrisfragger1 Am I right in assuming you haven't read light/web novel or manga isekai? If so, I suggest you try TBATE's (The Beginning After the End) manga and read Supreme Magus' light/web novel. TBATE has a colored manga with a really good artstyle, but this version has lots of jokes and therefore feels more light hearted than the LN's/WN's. The protagonists of both novels are pretty op while still struggling a lot. However, both series can be lengthy at times, especially SM, that's why I started skipping boring family reunions etc. TBATE is a lot like (a more exiting) Mushoku Tensei, SM instead is human Ainz Ooal Gown without the 'conquering the world' part.

Rimuru is strong and very OP, period. Some things will happen and stakes will rise in season 2, but don't continue to expect that kind of stuff. I think it's very important for you to understand that... this is just not that kind of series. You don't go into a comedy anime expecting things to get more serious do you? The first step to enjoying an anime is to first understand what it is you are watching and set your expectations correctly so you don't continue expecting something that will never happen or not happen often in this case.
