They’re not Phaethon because they have a super powerful GPS system to guide them… they’re Phaethon because if their GPS goes down, they’ll just grab a sextant, look up at the night sky and get you to your destination anyway. 👍

yeah it feels like it wouldnt be that much of big brain idea to remotely connect to the eyes of a bangboo. But maybe physically take control of a bangboo is something more advanced and is the prototype Astra was using. However I think its the HDD that is the huge leap in technology that allows it to communicate into the Hollow, and I think Eous himself is more advanced than other bangboo to support trans-hollow connect and full human voice etc. So Phaethon is still the only one that can operate remotely into a Hollow, and is way ahead of the competition in that area.

Back to what Ashikai was saying: "what if the siblings have smth more akin to harumasa when it comes to corruption" Question is how exactly Haru's corruption works, I have now an hypothesis (with 0 medical knowledge whatsoever): When it comes to the late stages of EARS the person affected loses their senses and motor capacities (?) (fairy often warns us about Harumasa's hand tremors) what's responsible for these things? The nervous system (which is also what's shown in the Section 6 unknown footage), also they use their spinal fluid to make the drug so it's safe to assume that EARS effects someone's nervous system. Considering Ashikai's theory about corruption effecting "consciousness" it'll makes sense if corruption attacks the nervous system. And I'm gonna assume that when it comes to healthy individuals it corrupts the nervous system and the body at the same time. He said that his condition is mild after all, and while he could have had been lying, he clearly wasn't exhibiting late stages signs before combat. I think that losing consciousness in hollows depends on which part of the body ether corrupts first. in harumasa's case, his condition affected his lungs the most, so when he's in contact with ether, his lungs are the first to stop working, so he passes out. so with this logic if the proxys have something similar to Harumasa, its probably affecting their heart.

Since it talked about Miyabi's sheath acting like a maze similar to a Hollow, I kind of pictured the Tailless ethereal being able to exist outside the Hollow because the sheath itself was a portable hollow, or maybe the sword itself is physically a hollow and the sheath is like and extra layer of containment. Because of this I am starting to wonder if Phaethon somehow has a hollow integrated into their bodies somehow, and some sort of internal implants that help contain it. And that helps them bridge the gap between the real world and the hollow space to communicate between Euos and HDD. And because they are already constantly being exposed to Hollow corruption internally they have low resistance to more ethereal contamination from external sources.
The sword is meant to contain Tailless while the scabbard is meant to keep it from corrupting the environment outside the Hollow. I mean, think about it, why would Sarah need to extract a sample from Tailless when she could've just kept the sword and delivered it directly to The Creator. Hell, she could've disabled any tracking device the sword has given that Phaethon were able to tinker with its electronics.

yeah, there's definitely real "energy" involved. But i could see it maybe being ether energy from the cursed blade and not actual fire. So maaaaybe some ether repelling eyes would help stop that? But there are SO many other possibilities that could equally be possible. Like hacking reality like Silverwolf to delete the explosion around them, using some sort of Naruto inspired eye magic to open fissures to shield themselves from the blast, or being some sort of hollow ethereal hybrid themselves.

I've seen theories about the other AI and hackers, and they are a bit out there with leaps of logic. But I do like the idea that White Noise is Rain or related to Rain. Since rain itself often used as an ambient "white noise" when trying to sleep etc. And they are clearly both Hackers, and White Noise tried to assure us they would save Nicole if Phaethon cooperated, which would make sense if it was Rain and secretly friends with Nicole and had the intention to help Nicole all along. Plus it would be easy for Rain to give the job to Nicole then somehow use Nicole to gain access to Phaethon's network. That said, Rain seems to be a exceptional hacker and White Noise barely competent.
I missed this :( I wanted to ask about the mechanism behind the cursed sword, and how (and when) exactly did Bringer absorb the power of the cursed sword as that's not quite clear to me in the story

But specifically, which characteristics of the cursed sword that Sarah needed to absorb/analyze to recreate it for Bringer? Its energy? Its encoding/transformation that allows it to be sealed and used safely? The particles from the sword emits? The game seems to imply that the cursed sword true nature is similar to that of an Ether, but they never really explain what exactly makes it different from other Ether that require Sarah to conduct this sword-hunting plan.

And I feel like it's more possible that they're a part of that unknown faction, b/c Belle and Wise don't know anything about Fairy before she appears, and thinks she's impossible, so probably not Helios. White Star were after Fairy, so probably not white star, otherwise why would they release them. TOPS is probably working with white star to some extent, and they don't even have HDD tech, never mind Fairy tech, so it probably didn't come from them, and they definitely wouldn't "release" fairy and co into the wild, though Fairy was stolen from them. Plus, they have the rosetta data (probably). As for the people who were responsible for the fall of the old capital... that's likely bringer and sarah's group, and they wouldn't "release" Fairy, since they were after Fairy in the first place and behind the Red Fang Gang, so I think it's that one that's only in Chinese

To clarify in that scene ray is confused why miyabi insists on ending the investigation and miyabi is explaining that she has to report this finding because it might be dealing with things similar to the dark wall and that this is an agreement about procedure that the void hunters have. this does not imply ray is a void hunter since otherwise she would already know this. and also lost void not melinoé hollow.

yeah, there's definitely real "energy" involved. But i could see it maybe being ether energy from the cursed blade and not actual fire. So maaaaybe some ether repelling eyes would help stop that? But there are SO many other possibilities that could equally be possible. Like hacking reality like Silverwolf to delete the explosion around them, using some sort of Naruto inspired eye magic to open fissures to shield themselves from the blast, or being some sort of hollow ethereal hybrid themselves.

I don't think they mentioned about some people we encountered in the lost void, the one that can happen in encounter stages. Can we really converse directly through hollow fissure or it's just that person's particular capability, and most importantly, WHO is that person? Since it seemed that they're quite the veteran when it comes to hollow zero exploration.

I think the twins are not human or ethereal variation for a couple reasons
To star professor arche is some kind of ethereal or something else not human and he founded Helios academy so I think he did so with the intention to help people become like him so they can survive in the hallows or the image of him they show is him being their biggest success in turning people into ethereals so they can survive hallows better
Second we assume they are human because they allegedly went through partial corruption but what happened they passed out and their heart stopped but maybe they were beginning to take on their ether form and I’m assuming ethereals don’t have hearts we also saw bringer pass out and disappear as he transformed so who knows what the process would be
Lastly I think it would be super cool if when the siblings became playable it’s because they reveal their ethereal forms and are able to fight in hallows sounds bad ass

I do think their "shield" is hollow related phenomenon. Like, hollow is an infinite maze so when the shield is activated (glowing eyes) all matter and energy will take an infinite time and space to reach them. Yes, it's like Gojo's blue infinity lol
I don't think Astra used the same technology as the siblings' implants when she had Snap meet up with Phaethon.
I think the purpose of the implants was to maintain a connection between the Bangboo and the proxy from within a Hollow.
Meanwhile, Snap never entered a Hollow throughout the event so for all we know Astra could've just been talking through Snap from an encrypted phone line that Evelyn begrudgingly set up for her after a month of begging and nagging

Is Bringer a Ethereal Doppelganger Like Harumasa & Sarah?
I've seen theories about the other AI and hackers, and they are a bit out there with leaps of logic. But I do like the idea that White Noise is Rain or related to Rain. Since rain itself often used as an ambient "white noise" when trying to sleep etc. And they are clearly both Hackers, and White Noise tried to assure us they would save Nicole if Phaethon cooperated, which would make sense if it was Rain and secretly friends with Nicole and had the intention to help Nicole all along. Plus it would be easy for Rain to give the job to Nicole then somehow use Nicole to gain access to Phaethon's network. That said, Rain seems to be a exceptional hacker and White Noise barely competent.
I missed this :( I wanted to ask about the mechanism behind the cursed sword, and how (and when) exactly did Bringer absorb the power of the cursed sword as that's not quite clear to me in the story
1) nullface were able to collect enough data to create a digital miyabi
2) when miyabi was captured Sarah (with help from a glove???) was able to open the scarab and collect the sword data

@@shibepanic I understand that much that the digital miyabi data was mainly used to replicate Miyabi's fingerprint to unlock the sword from the scabbard. The part I don't understand is the specific mechanism behind the absorption.
Specifically, After the "absorption", the sword still retains its power, so I'm suspecting that it's more of a recreation rather than absorption. But specifically, which characteristics of the cursed sword that Sarah needed to absorb/analyze to recreate it for Bringer? Its energy? Its encoding/transformation that allows it to be sealed and used safely? The particles from the sword emits? The game seems to imply that the cursed sword true nature is similar to that of an Ether, but they never really explain what exactly makes it different from other Ether that require Sarah to conduct this sword-hunting plan.

afaik the sword literally contains an ethereal (the tailless), my guess is that they took the data and injected it into the serum that bringer took when he transformed, that's why he was able to use the "powaah of the cursed bladeeee" or something. in any case the lore goes deep 😭
Just fyi djinn are middle eastern AND north african so Astra having Egyptian styling still would totally fit as a connection to Jinni.
I don't think the sword has an ethereal in it, or at least it's not confirmed that Tailless is an Ethereal, I don't think? But, I feel the evidence carrier points more towards them being able to take Ethereals out of the Hollows than the sword does. Technically, if the Sacrifice is an etheric being, it should just cease to exist/disintergrate outside the hollow, but they know, regardless of what the Sacrifice is, they CAN take the remains out without risking it disappearing or being distorted (probably)
Edit: In the key terms in the lore video, there's one term that only exists in Chinese, 塞昂 I guess "Scion"? And I feel like it's more possible that they're a part of that unknown faction, b/c Belle and Wise don't know anything about Fairy before she appears, and thinks she's impossible, so probably not Helios. White Star were after Fairy, so probably not white star, otherwise why would they release them. TOPS is probably working with white star to some extent, and they don't even have HDD tech, never mind Fairy tech, so it probably didn't come from them, and they definitely wouldn't "release" fairy and co into the wild, though Fairy was stolen from them. Plus, they have the rosetta data (probably). As for the people who were responsible for the fall of the old capital... that's likely bringer and sarah's group, and they wouldn't "release" Fairy, since they were after Fairy in the first place and behind the Red Fang Gang, so I think it's that one that's only in Chinese

To clarify in that scene ray is confused why miyabi insists on ending the investigation and miyabi is explaining that she has to report this finding because it might be dealing with things similar to the dark wall and that this is an agreement about procedure that the void hunters have. this does not imply ray is a void hunter since otherwise she would already know this.
