    So glad i found this out year's ago my daughter is now 6. From birth she has listened to positive affirmations. I tell her she is a genius she can read so well with little effort because we believe this. She has positive beliefs about money and would like to be an author. I am reprogramming my mind & programming hers also. ❤

      That’s amazing!
      When my daughter was a baby I used to show her art catalogs now she’s an amazing artist in her 30’s. No one else in the family has a lick of art talent.

    I think what a lot of people who talk about ‘attachment styles’ utterly FAIL to realise is that many of these styles arise because of the treatment of you by your peer group when you first enter school - how the other pupils see/treat you, wether or not they accept you, and how the teachers treat you. These can be EVEN MORE DEVASTATING to your self image that your guardian’s treatment of you.

    • @AbbyRuston
      @AbbyRuston  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      You are right. There are many influences that effect the image we have of ourselves. It's most pronounced with the primary attachment.. and perhaps if there is no one there for attachment that in itself lowers self image defenses of the cruel things that others will say from school.. either way, reclaiming our own self image is the key to making sustainable change in my opinion and experience and I believe once someone knows how to do it, they can do it!

    • @StripperPhysics
      @StripperPhysics 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Agreed. But your sense of self and your identity to this attachments form by your caregivers before you get to school and peer group interaction. Our sense of self begins to develop by around age 3…so our attachment styles are already in place by the time we get to school/groups and we are already seeing our environment based on how we have been programmed. We already see the “duck” or the “bunny” and those perspectives create our experiences.😢

    • @AbbyRuston
      @AbbyRuston  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@StripperPhysics LOVE the way you say you either see the duck or rabbit as you go into the world. I 100% agree no matter what our primary attachment was, that influenced how we see the world, and, according to the book I'm reading, even what you can process from what you take it. That CAN be changed, but only with new experiences! If you had mean and cruel classmates, i would imagine that is echoing a critical or mean/cold caretaker. Not always the case, but highly likely. Esp if no adult around you too the time and attention to make sure you were safe.. it would be repeating the same failed dynamic the caregiver originally created.. they were suppose to be a source of protection and were instead a source of threat or pain.

    • @StripperPhysics
      @StripperPhysics 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@AbbyRuston It seems so cruel to have to unlearn and “un-traumatize” ourselves when all we wanted was to be loved and accepted.😥

    I think a lot of the adults in my life didn’t get me. They saw me as “odd” (actual quote), or maybe slow, or perhaps even disobedient at times. But that’s their perception. It was never the truth about me.

    • @AbbyRuston
      @AbbyRuston  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely Shea. You offer so much to the world and your voice and message matter. It is SO unfortunate you had such ignorant and small minded people as "teachers" I think in the reality of the situation, you were the teacher to them. Also I totally resonate with the idea of being called "disobedient" for being yourself. Most times I think that obsession has more to do with their lack of having their own power in their life and they feel threatened if others don't do exactly as they say.. taking it VERY personal.. which also shows lack of confidence. I also think that they were acting out their own distorted views of how THEY had to act as a child.. and when others kids did it differently, they judged them as they had judged themselves as a kid. I am SO happy you are freeing yourself from this and finding the true beauty and wonder of yourself!! 🥳🥳❤️

      You are right. People can treat us different ways and it doens't define us. When in that moment, try to breathe and connect to what you feel. It could make you feel like a child and make you nervous or that you have to abide which would be perhaps something from your past. Either way, the more you can breathe, stay calm and understand your need in that moment, the more you can be in your highest expression! You got this!!!

    • @silverback7783
      @silverback7783 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @AbbyRuston Yes it is like that gap is where YOU vibrate or resonate from. If someone feels toxic it doesn't make them bad they are only being who they know to be. BUT it does mean that you have to stop tuning into that level of vibes to not be affected by it. Then I think if they are an okay person the two of you can be in same room with ecahother even if not on the same wavelength.

    Great video!
    The only thing that doesn't resonate is the brainwashing word. Our past programmed us for sure. Its whats hiding in our subconscious and we are building a new version of ourselves. For me, i like the term training ground. Our past experiences and childhood were our training ground for what we have come for.
    Process how you felt / feel. Feelings are the secret. 😉
    To blame is to b-lame. Getting curious, why do i feel this way? What is my opportunity? (Heals victim thinking by empowering you with choices) What is the root AND what did it give me? The golden nuggets thst help me now?
    Ty Abby! You are a gem and an earth angel 🤗

    • @AbbyRuston
      @AbbyRuston  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I totally agree that what we went through gives us incredible power once we learn to unlearn the meaning. When we alchemize, we tap into using that past as wisdom. I can understand the resistance to the word. I think about brainwashing more so as the method of enforcing ideas rather than something we are stuck in. Once we realize how it works, we step into the power to change it! Thanks so much for sharing your perspective and insight!

      I hear you and valid points. I appreciate them 1) What I share in this video are the exact things I used to get the changes I've had.. first in going from a failed athlete to making a world championship team.. secondly from repeated rejection and emotionally unfulfilling relationships to a deep and loving relationship. A relationship so special I didn't even know that it existed... My relationship wound is my biggest wound and the most focus has always been on that my entire life so this was HUGE for me. 2) It's important to know what ppl's wounds are.. bc if someone is making millions and they never had any issues making money bc their real wound is love and they are telling you to use the strategy for what made them money(no wound) for your romantic life(where a wound may be) it's not going to be the same... and then from what i've seen, they blame you bc "it worked for them" bc it's apples to oranges. So I always encourage people to be aware of that aspect. Bc when they can change the area of life where they have struggled the most, that is when you can trust more what they say and how to transform 3) Even if someone hasn't been able to fully execute, what they say could hold some truth. Discernment is a must in this case. 4) As i said before, love has always been the highest on my priorities. Only recently has that been realized and now my focus is shifting into how i'm seen in the world. I've been doing a lot of work releasing old wounds. bc I also have wounds fully being seen when I'm sharing my deep and heartfelt words which I do in these video's. I had a lot of rejection in the past.. if you look at my video's a year ago compared to today, you can see i've changed my energy and confidence. If you look at my last year's video average compared to significant changes I've made since Oct, you can also see the difference in video performance. It is all a process. LIke a staircase, and I'm making my way up that staircase and I do know that views and other success will reflect those changes in the future. I hope this helps! Always be curious and keep strengthening that discernment!! Thanks for your question🥳
