How do i get a setup like yours regarding the Classic? Any links i can look at? Thanks!
Hey mad.. there is imposter or what? That reply me with your channel name
@@liango8150 if its not this verified account, its a scammer. Whats their user name?
Ps2 coming in next few years
Hey 2 questions the only computer I have is a 15 year old Mac, is there a way to set all this up and get games and stuff using a Mac or is a pc only thing? Also while I know there is old specific arcade games and what not that I will want for me what’s been the best build someone has made available that you know of? Thanks
4 years, insane.
Just crazy to think that community is able to change what was once the worst mini console ever into an emulation beast
mine is sealed to this day 20-11-24
Flash drive with autobleem hack made this console epic. Play this everyday and have discovered so many good titles I never got around to playing when I was younger. People slept on it but absolutely a must buy for any retro game lovers.
It’s kind of insane how the PlayStation Classic went from being the worst out of the Classic mini consoles to being one of, if not THE best all because of the modding scene. I realize that’s cheating but…there’s really no reason to NOT mod/hack it even if you don’t plan on adding your own games and just leave the library as is. It literally fixes everything that was ever wrong with the base firmware and then some.
Just strictly as a PS1 emulator, it’s practically flawless in my opinion.
Well, the stock emulator still leaves a lot to be desired actually. Some games still crash or will not run at all using the stock emulator. We'll still have to switch to RetroArch to run those games
i have a jailbreak ps3, 2 modded wii system, a modded wiiU and a modded new 3ds xl.
Modding wise they're all good. I have arcade games on my snes classic that play perfectly among many nes and snes even some 64 and Sega games thanks to pattons videos. But if were talking base stock the psx is still the worst one by far.
That is what you get for listening to goofs like this clown. How is he even gonna call this the worst console, then comeback 4 years later and say it is the best? This guy is super negative about everything, and he needs to stop. People like you also need to stop listening to him. This buffoon even got the Neo Geo clone console a bad rap because he accidentally blue up his video card and blamed the console for it. Then three or four years later he finally admits it was his fault.
Bro, I bought one of these online from a guy that spent hundreds of hours setting up Autobleem and all the artwork and OH MY GOODNESS IS THIS AMAZING. I should honestly make a video just to show u all the potential of how dope this can be. The level of detail he put into setting this up is AWESOME. I want to clone it
Just wanted to give a second shout out to Magnus for some great builds over the years.
The PS Classic is also my favorite. I followed a video you posted years ago to mod it. I picked up 3 of them when they went on sale for $20. I have one at my monitor, one at my tv and one still in the box lol. The system is great once you mod it. Thanks for the update.
When my local target had the PS1 classic on sale, the lowest I saw was 50 dollars not 20.
I bought mine from Amazon in 2019 for $28 I recall. I went ahead and modded it, then set about ripping much of my PS1 collection and adding others as I went. Now I have a machine that has the two Lunar JRPGs, Silhouette Mirage, FF8, FF9, Tomb Raider, all the PS1 Crash games, SotN and much more. I'll just keep PS1 games on it because I also built a RasPi 3b in an SNES housing for most of what I want from other systems.
Gotta have SotN on every single console ofc!
i modified the magnus image to my liking, all retro games and 196 ps1 games on a 128gb thumb drive, ballin.
I think I have 9 of these things. Bought 1 at release for full price and then just got a bunch on clearance for 10-20 bucks. The controllers are worth it alone.
I bought at release and then 7 more for $20.00 from Gamestop. Loaded two up with retroarch and autobleem.
Sell me one
@@johncahill1985 he’s hoarding them sounds like
Sell one to me?
@@minderoded2383 He is pulling a dickhead scalper move many years from now.
Between Auto Bleem and getting it on sale for about $60, this was a winner for me. Every PS1 game I care about is on it now. Thanks for the update on the new version of AutoBleem. I need to check it out.
Your Facebook group help me out alot one night doing the modding. I was in Japan once and played Metal Slug for the first time there, I was hooked and thought I would never play again. It took us about two or three hours to get it to work on the PS Classic but I was in heaven. Then that weekend me and the kiddo beat the game. Thanks to all.
Love my ps classic. Still use it all the time. Yes mine is hacked with 521 games on it. All thanks to videos on channel. Rock on and cheers
I still use the one I got from GameStop when they marked them down to $40. It’s definitely a wonderful emulation machine, super easy to mod.
Yeah I still use it here and there. It is running with Autobleem and an old 1tb external hard drive loaded with games from multiple systems. I picked mine up at Best Buy for $20.00 plus tax when they were liquidating them out. And I also did the bypass trick by soldering 2 points together so I could put a bigger capacity drive on the PS1 Classic.
My first mini console. I love it. And yes i added more games haha. Is spectacular!
I modded mine thanks to your channel and still play it every week.
PS1 is my Favorite Console of All Time
Man I bought 4 of these for $30/pc at best buy. I gave them out as gifts after I put 256gb flash drives and an otg cable. They loved them!
Got this classic for $20 at BestBuy! Bought 2 of ‘em.
I'm still using mine with my games added to it!!
I bought a 20th anniversary DS4 controller just to use on my PS Classic! I've modded mine to play all of my favorite PS1 games. It stays plugged up in our living room & we play it often!
The PlayStation classic is the brain of my arcade cabinet… I have all the arcade goodness I would ever want and I’m still enjoying it as of 10-20-22.. I have like 3 of them still boxed… so hopefully I’ll have them for years and years to come 😝😝
I have bought 5 of them, never paid more than $30 for one. The real icing on the cake is being able to run EmulationStation on it.
mine is still being used, even hooked it up to a old crt tv
This is the most powerfull Official of the minies at this point. ANd in some years it'd be a collectors item highly sought off
I just bought one from Goodwill, haven't modded it yet and I actually really like it so far even without all the added games.
That menu is fast af. Looks cool
I bought mine pre owned for $20 last year. I Moded it and it was great. Last year brand new it was still a bit pricey at around $60 new, wonder if it’s cheaper new these days
The classic is awesome, I have one setup with Autobleem. I watched your videos and ran to Best Buy when they were $20, thank you for the very informative videos. I learned everything from your videos like many others. Great channel, am sure I have seen every one of your videos....Anthony
I use mine all the time and it’s the reason I don’t feel like I need the new Genesis console or any of the others that are already out. This one does it all. Someday when a mini console comes out that can do all Dreamcast and PS2 without issue, that’s when I’ll finally replace this.
Ehergiez, I miss that game. That port of mario looks beautiful! Will have to pick one up soon
Hell yeah. Just got one of these. Excited to check it out with mods
I'm using mine to play GBA games right now. And silent hill. Love it.
thx for the video! I miss the ps classic vids, great device!
Just dug my PS Classic out and i'm putting Autobleem on it with a few games. Hope this works like I've seen on here!!!
The ps1 analog had an analog button so you could turn it off and use the dpad , but analog sticks on the ps1 changed everything and it was the best feeling controller of its time . Only OG gamers remember what it was like switching from a Dreamcast or n64 controller to the ps1 controller and trust me it was epic , those big bulky controllers weren’t noticeably uncomfortable until Sony Created the PlayStation which was a direct competitor of Nintendo and sega , Sony changed the game and opened the doors for Xbox and all the things we love about video games today
I still use mine few time a week just to get my street fighter ex alpha And I actually modded my ps mini with one of your videos thanks!!
I waited until it was $25 to pick it up. Once I hacked it, that was an awesome deal.
PS1 Classic is by far the most played mini console in my collection 👌
Are there any new builds. Like a 1tb build or bigger.
The PlayStation Classic is the best mini console ever released so far
The PS Classic is how I found your channel! Thanks again for helping me hack that little bad boy!
What does this mean? Have I been spammed?
I still have one of these I never opened.
The day I got the first PlayStation I had 5 games with it .
1. Loaded
2. Resident evil directors cut
3. Tomb raider
4. Syphon filter
5. Parasite eve
My first experience with my PlayStation 1 will forever be my favorite time as a gamer.
I will have to check out the updates.
I love your videos brother ❤️ 😀 You have an awesome sense of humor.
The console that made me one of your subscribers 👍
I got the Tru Blu Mini PS 1 game boosters and I've been playing a lot of Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. I can play 567 games extra having gotten all 5 Tru Blu Minis. It's cool to see the games on a system so advanced for being a 90s consol. At some point I may finish Final Fantasy VII on the base system
Oh boy, someone hasn't been payin attention to the A500 mini...
I have one of those too, but I spent as much on that as 5 PS Classics. It’s great, but being able to run EmulationStation on the PSC is a huge advantage, at least to me. But at the rate of progress on the A500, I expect that it won’t be long and it will be running something like ES or Batocera. That’s when it will replace the PSC as my main retro console.
At release i was still working at gamestop. Within 1 month we had a shelf of them at 20$. Once word got around, we sold out. IT was holiday season and i sold probably 300 of them at 20$. If it was cheaper at the start it clearly woulda been received better
I got one when it dropped to $40, I bought a True Blue mini stick with 200 PS1 games on it, I still use it sometimes.
STILL waiting for the tg16 mini hack to release...
got mine for $25 and after modding it it is my go-to console. Now I wish I had bought two of them.
Yes I'm still playing on my Playstation Classic mini console, back when it first came out the only games I played was Rayman, Final Fantasy 7, Metal Gear Solid, Wild Arms, Ridge Racer Type 4, Cool Boarders 2, Revelations Persona. Then when I was done I put it away for a while, when I heard about the Gamebox 128 USB hack drive I bought it and I was finally able to play not only more Playstation games like R-Type Delta, Crash Bandicoot, I could finally play all of the NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, a big handful of Gameboy Advance games which made the worst PS1 mini console suddenly be a better console than the NES and SNES mini and Atgames Sega consoles which suddenly became mostly obsolete.
The big drawback is I cannot play Nintendo 64 like Mario Odyssey 64 or Mario Ocarina of Time games due to glitching and some of the PSP games run super slow or games like Angry Birds is unplayable since It needs an analog stick.
I'm now able to play my favorite games including Chrono Trigger Crimson Echoes SNES, Back to the Future II and III NES, Super Mario Fantasy NES. I just hope my Playstation Classic doesn't die and last a long time. I also like the Raspberry Pi 4 mini console with the sd card with same Nintendo, Playstation, Sega games. The USB hack drive made my Playstation Classic console more desirable to play.
What game is at 6:10?
Wow! A tutorial about that Ninja Turtles game would be awesome!
Great video bro! I also love this console, its hands down one of the best because of the community surrounding it. That TMNT game though, I really want to play that on the classic. How did you get TMNT palooza running? So dope!
Definitely a great mini console once modded. Easily my favorite one as long as we're not talking stock
I just bought mine from Goodwill unmodded and I'm actually loving it so far, I do plan to mod it though in the future. I played a bit of Resident Evil though and I don't have any major complaints.
i use my ps classic on a Portable phone charger (5v) with a battery power black and white CRT 😍
the perfect GameBoy / pokemon mini
*Amazing ! I taked one now !* 😄
Got mine at Best Buy on clearance for $20. Added a True Blue Mini Crackhead Pack USB with 100 games on it.
Now you got me wanting to buy one now
eh I'll just use duckstation I think it's super neat though just because it's a tiny original Playstation 😀 when you have a good galaxy s20 and a hdmi USB c connector it's super plug and play
I picked up a PlayStation classic for $20 after my first day of my new job which I’m still at. I definitely believe it’s been 4 years lol
Ya, Sony really screwed this up. Even those True Blue "crack" sticks made it better, lol
I have the best classic in my opinion, a 1 terabyte micro SD card filled with delights! 🤗
I never get tired of hearing . " PEPSI MAN "
Time to pull out the 2 I have in boxes and update them... I mainly use my Anbernic handhelds for PS1, but once in a while, I want to play them on a TV...
I really wish I bought a Playstation Classic when they were still on shelves and being sold for $20-40. I just got a new one for $94 but I'm really excited to play it and I'll definitely get my money's worth out of it.
IF Sony wanted to release a new mini console like what SEGA does, my guess is that they'd release a PSOne mini with a built in screen attachment to mimic the PSOne LCD screen. That'd be epic
Mine worked twice and now doesn’t power on, shitty quality.
For us Europeans PAL wasn't a big issue at all, it's what we played after all.
European or not, most displays nowadays don't support 50Hz output, only 60Hz. The 50Hz content just doesn't look right on 60Hz displays (very inconsistent frametimes). What was made to look smooth on a true CRT PAL TV, looks choppy on a modern display.
Got my PSC for $19.99 a few years ago at Best Buy, but never opened it. Problem is it is a pain to download these build using torrents, etc. Use my Super Retrocade build I downloaded through a normal link.
Does Lunar Silver Star Story Complete and Eternal Blue work on this?
Yep, i played through Silver Star Story Complete not too long ago on this
@@Madlittlepixel Thank you so much for that info. I’m always afraid of starting a JRPG and then something happens that doesn’t allow me to save/continue etc.
Still the worst mini console in my opinion without the hack.
Without the hack, yes it’s definitely the worst. With the hack, even if you just leave the library as is, it suddenly becomes one the top 3.
These consoles are made for hacking because people buy more of them if they get hacked, otherwise there were playstation stores, just like today.
Facts
They’re all bad without hack
Got mine for 20 bucks from best buy too. Prefer it over raspberry pi or android.
I bought the PS Classic a ways back for $20, and never got around to even firing it up much less hacking the thing.
"A ways back".... lol
I got one. The thing is basically DOA now. Doesn't see the controllers at all. I got a bad one I think and Sony had no interest in fixing or helping me out with it.
I bought one a release. Did all the "safe" mods available. Especially the otg was a relief when that came out. Unfortunately I probably wounded my PSC because I wanted to solder install a hub inside on the otg data pins.
Since then my PSC is a little buggy on the rear port. I probably messed up the traces on the PCB. The issues I'm experiencing now is that sometimes the USB ports don't properly respond with device's connected to them.
Remember you can still soft boot from the 2nd controller.
@@Freshbrood the thing is the whole psc is acting Wierd now. There's a small chance i can find a suitable Data trace line to solder on but it's very tricky.
@ Oh no. Sounds like a short somewhere.
@@Freshbrood i think so too. I need to get myself a hot air solder station and redoing the rear USB port to be sure if there was a short there to fix it. Maybe I'll replace it with a different usb type breakout board. Micro USB suck anyways.
You should share a step by step how to, to modding this thing. I'm curious now
There’s like literally dozens of videos already out there. It’s super easy, even calling it “modding” is somewhat of an exaggeration. With just a basic Autobleem thumb drive, there is zero risk of doing any kind of damage.
I need a detailed guide to getting other controllers to work in retroarch. Mapping buttons and saving controller maps for different cores. It's a nightmare.
I love autobleem got so many games I didn't get chance to play growing up gotta a lot catching up to
This was So Great
4 years. It’s time they brought out the Ps2 classic
it can play translated games, even demos and modded stuff made by communities lke the Resident evil 1.5 Magical zombie door or the Yu GI oh FM mods... Plays'em perfect.
So rad. Any leads in purchasing a Playstation Classic with retro games?
that ebay link is so cheap but doesn't ship to the UK sad. Most here are 90ish
Still use it. Still use AutoBleem. Haven’t updated since they added Tyrian.
I got mine from Walmart and paid $20 for it and i have 1tb autobleem hard drive for it
I’m just having trouble adding sega cd games to it
I've never had issues with this on any of my classic mini systems...once I figured out I had to load the BIOS for sega cd. I'd say do some research on Sega CD BIOS to get your games running. If you've done that, then I don't know what the issue could be.
@@mikestorms3768 I downloaded the bios loaded them into the system folder in retroarch and the games still don’t work
Do you recommended Project Eris or AutoBleem?
I bought one in the past and have not still open it.
I got mine from target for 10 bucks
I wish my autobleem would work for my classic, for some unknown reason it just quit working one day lol, at least i still have the base games
Project ERIS is pretty good too though
Where I can get auto bleen for the images?
a few things I heard:
1) Can't put dualshocks into it.
2) modding it (using some kid of storage device for extra games) uses the 2nd controller port, so you can't do two players.
....if these two things are fixed, I'll definitely pick one up
The things you heard are incorrect and have been for several years now
@@Madlittlepixel oh really? will take a look
Get an otg to put the storage usb in the back, and usb for the front that is compatible with old controllers thst have bluetooth, you can then use dualshock 4
God I want a Sega Saturn Mini
I really liked how autobleem evolved on it but now I don't use it anymore since the PSX Core on the mister is just untopable...
Fell behind on PSClassic modding can we get a proper 4:3 aspect ratio on it nowadays?
What’s the name of the space shoot ‘em up that starts at around 5:56? Looks brill.
@Magnus RC brilliant. Thank you for your reply!
Americans get everything cheaper than us in Europe ..Britain..the typical eBay price is well over 100 pounds for the PSX mini which is about 120 dollars plus shipping..or postage as we say...150dollars is more common..just thought I'd have a quick look on eBay..not expecting much..but seller had 29 sold at 52pounds..about 64 dollars...last one left..guess he had 30 imported from USA..so I grabbed it.. half the price of all the scalpers..thanks Ron
OK how did you get a PC game TMNT Rescue Palooza to play on the PS1 CLASSIC ?
