When you’ve been overexposed to FNAF this and FNAF that, it really makes you forget how gruesome and horrific the deaths of the children must have been. The VHS format is great for displaying just how disturbing the killings were, along with emulating and improving on the uncanny valley feeling of FNAF 1’s character designs.
I get its murder and it’s horrible bug there’s something i find comedic about “10 minutes! can ya bloody believe it!” and then it just silently cuts between gore spattered animatronics a few times

I really appreciate how Battington's models are more akin to actual RL animatronics of that time period, it's something that's always bugged me about the original FNAF designs. And honestly making them more like real animatronics makes these tapes even more terrifying imo!

Battingtons remaster and revision of Squimpus' old series is a fantastic work of art and i love how all of these creators value and appreciate his craft!
Apparently the video was taken down by TH-cam and they didn't even give reason. So sadly it does not seem like you can watch it anymore unless they revert the decision.

Fnaf may be a horror game, but they never really lean on the scary aspects of the story... This is both terrifying and refreshing XD
something about these tapes feel more satanic than scary. which obviously scott wouldn’t want.
Ik, it feels like after 3 the games are more of a lore dump than actual scary games. The way the designs were crancked up to 11 and added a lot of sci fi elements just made the series way less scary overall, what I like about these tapes is that it goes back to the roots of just regular animatronics become super creepy in the right situations rather than the machine bodily horror of the the later games.
@@omarg1471 Scott admitted in the interview that he kept making games after fnaf 3 because he didn’t feel satisfied with the story or other aspects and he kept making games until he felt as though he came full circle, hence UCN being his last game.

It depends on what he uses to make the vhs tapes, because if its not a 3d model strict render application, then he has no idea hpw to make a game in unreal engine or sm

With secret screens similar to FNaF's 1 - 3, easter eggs collecting VHS tapes and inputting them in a VHS player, and making sure to make the game as unnerving as possible, it'd be really cool! :)

I really love how the models decide to use what looks like a latex face, much like what The Rockafire Explosion have! I wonder if this also means we get to see melted faces or something on older animatronics in the tapes! Now that'd be creepy! :D
The models are uncannily creepy and make it that much more intimidating than the original, but I think the OG Golden Freddy Suicide still remains on top just because of how uneasy the eyes on that Golden Freddy model look.

i love how battington is remaking the squimpus tapes and adding a lot more onto them. it’s not just copying but taking a foundation and adding even more to it.
It’s not adding anything but his own models. If he wants to avoid accusations of plagiarism he needs to stop lifting direct dialogue & sound clips from the original works. All he’s doing is slapping a new coat of paint on something that isn’t that old, & he isn’t specifying that Squimpus was his inspiration. Doesn’t sound well-intentioned to me.

This was definitely a great redo and he basically added 6 extra minutes to the squimpus one with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and instead of purple guy we get Spring Bonnie. But man that Golden Freddy hanging scene still gives me the creeps seeing it again.
Love these models because they look so similar to the animatronics from ShowBiz Pizza in the 80s. The Rockafire Explosion bots were weirdly good at facial expressions with the design/masks they have, and these models showcase the same vibe! Love it!

the fact that I watched the og video yesterday and then tried to find it today only to discover that it’s been banned on youtube, quite sad. you don’t even have to be a fan of vintage style, analog horror vhs tapes to understand the time and effort that must have went into the video dawko is watching, only for it to get banned. awesome video, super creepy. well done, battington

7:24 That text-to-speech voice kinda took me out of the whole thing though because I've watched so much SMG4 that I automatically associate that voice with the Goldeneye guard Chris and thus I was just registering it as Chris speaking there which made it more silly than anything to me. The video was really really good though, just that particular text-to-speech voice has too much of a funny connotation for me.

I love that the Battington models are so distrubingly detailed in their face, but have very simple bodies and heads. It makes them so much more creepy and yet so much more accurate to how actual animations looked during that time.

These VHS videos are A+ FNAF videos, when I was about to sleep I saw the first 5 seconds of this and as soon I saw the models I was like nope, not today.
The line "Not a moment before, and not a moment later." is a reference to Funtime Foxy's line from ultimate custom night, "Showtimes are on the hour, not a moment before and not a moment later!"

Why?
This brings back the nostalgic raw fear of the early days where all we knew was that children went missing and a suspect was caught.
"What's the matter foxy, I thought you wanted an audience" and "Go Go Go!"
Make me think the foxy animitronic witnessed the murders, with the noises of the children screaming, Foxy defaults to the idea that there is something like a fire, the "Go Go Go" possibly means in such a situation, the animitronics are designed to evacuate. The footage of foxy running down the corridor could mean that he tried to escape the building. You can see that in the pre show compared to the final part of the video, foxy has damage on his chest, pointing towards Afton somehow stopping foxy from escaping the building but in the process damaged him.
Good to see foxy tapes again in such a long time (Since they're usually rare)

⚠️Freddy is like Terminator⚠️
Here is what I've noticed from watching all these playthroughs...
I can't help but tie strings between Terminator and Glamrock Freddy. Both of them are programmed to so a certain thing; they have a purpose. Terminator is an AI, programmed to protect and follow the orders of John Connor. Glam Freddy is also an AI, programmed to entertain and protect children. (I can hardly go into the detail of Freddy's functions, as there is no direct confirmation as to what his programming is...)
At some point along the lines of their stories, both break out of their artificial barriers, which decide the way they perceive and respond to things. Both, Glamrock Freddy and Terminator start developing true *feelings* for the child their are protecting, which is technically impossible for an AI, that can only *simulate* them.
Both are willing to save the life of the child at the loss of their own. And both can now feel and understand for the child!
This is just something interesting I've noticed. Not really a theory. But I can't help but tie these parallels with each other...
⚠️But imagine if we had a final boss battle between Freddy and the new William (aka Burntrap)...⚠️

This is what i wished some of the fnaf games would have. Ik alot of this stuff is fanmade, but we need a dlc for Help Wanted where it has all the "behind the scenes area" where everything is just given straight. Like imagine having to PLAY the Go go go minigame but in VR and you see this. That would make fnaf a really good game. The scary game that it should be.
