Hark player here. This game was a blast! I had that massive army more or less the whole game which encouraged Smugglers to nonaggro me early and expand northward into Atreides. Smugs being squeezed between two factions put him in a tricky situation. He needed someone to prop him up, and I was happy to have a proxy while I chain pillaged the southern hemisphere stacking up those authority discounts in anticipation of an eventual hege rush. I kept that whole region devastated perpetually so there wasn’t much else he could do but fight Turin. To those throwing shade on me and Smugs for teaming, know this: there was no team, it was all scheme. I can definitely understand the frustration someone would feel being on the other end, though. A quick self critique, I should have been more willing to bide my time with my authority at the 500 cap and wait for a better moment to go for hege. Like get smugglers elected to governor or something. GG
You still wasted way too much resources on helping him. Smugglers played really badly, barely expanding so you could’ve killed them and taken their territory before they betray you bc as you said it was inevitable.
I agree I should have been more proactive in ending that alliance. But I think I sent him at most 6 or 7 thousand Solari and maybe 1 thousand intel and got like 3 thousand Plascrete in return. The man had Plascrete coming out his ears. Moreover, I only had to divert my pillage freight train three times over the whole game for a handful of in game days. And I don’t think the Smuggler player played badly. Sometimes things don’t break your way in this game, we all get wormed from time to time, and the effect of that is really magnified if you are on the back foot and have to make something happen. All that said, there were many lessons to be learned.
Tbh that was really badly played. Exept for the hedge you didnt go for choam and you spend alot on helping the smugs witch lead too ecas to greedplay in the corner. Not only that but the smugs backstabbed you at fist oppitunity. :L
Pwn's Ecaz was superbly played! He bided his time well, not playing too much politics and just slow creeping hedge until that spike with the champ and main base building(?) It leapfrogged Turin's and Harks hedge real quick there
Great game! Dune never gets old. It always itches the scratch for some awesome free for all brawling, and it is such a great mix of both grand strategy and RTS. Will always watch a Dune video/stream on this channel.
The pathing in this game is pretty funky. Your final attack on Ecaz inexplicably sent your troops through the deep desert (where they suffered huge damage to supplies), but on the retreat, your rangers happily hugged the volcano. If only they had stuck to the Volcano during the invasion!! Hilarious ending to an epic game.
Discovered today that apparently completed district bonuses stack, i.e. two completed two-slot yellow districts give you 40 gold, not just 20. I didn't know this...hope this helps others. 😊
You've been getting pretty good at this game! Always a blast to watch. Did you know you can queue a military unit to investigate and then return home, they will move to the second queue point only after finishing investigation.
You really seem to struggle with correct strength evaluation regarding military units. You keep running into fights, thinking you would do more damage than you do. If you'd improve on that, you'd be off way better

ah, that makes more sense now
Honestly, very well played!

Rule #1 of Dune diplomacy, agree with whatever anyone proposes--then do what you were going to do anyway

“I could start politicking with people” “smugs took mid, thieves””smugs took mid, EVIL”😂😂😂😂

I loved seeing you stand against a 2-person alliance and persevering. Very good match!

Thank you Turin. Your awesome videos are getting me through college! Always got something to look forward to after studying
Always love seeing more of this game!
Had a thought occured while watching the new Dune Movie and had to come back to share:
"I am food for Shai-hulud."
No dying in the dark here!
Love the Dune content as always!
Brilliant play and game knowlege here! True pleassure to watch and learn (thx for explaining your actions).
Sad so many views but not enough likes. Love the content and I will always like the videos
Cannot praise the dune videos enough. Always happy to see them.

Did you know you can queue a military unit to investigate and then return home, they will move to the second queue point only after finishing investigation.
don't you need to resolve it before they move to the next point queued?
@@HVBRSoF Nope. They leave once it gets to 100% and then you can resolve it whenever you have time
wow ... that teaming surely was fucking annoying
You can kill garrisons for xp and leave them to respawn instead of pillaging...obviously not as fun but still a thing
Yey, more dune!
Dudes for the dude god. Guys for the guy throne.
Mhmm 🙏
Atreides! Atreides! Atreides!
I'm once again asking everyone to get the 3rd column of red tech before month 5
NEVER!!
More Dune pls I really enjoy it! Gz for ProfPWN
Knights OP
Atreidies army is can be very good but they require quite a lot of micro to make most of it, not very doable at 1.5 speed, it's better in 1.2

Atreides are the Vampire Counts of this game. I hate them so much
Leto Atreides is a viper masquerading as a Boy Scout. Hail Harkonnen. 😊
