Sometimes the sell the white shrimp in bags and they have the shell and the head on - I freeze the heads for shrimp stock and most of the shrimpy flavour is in the shells so I keep that on until they are cooked, if possible - if not I still freeze the raw shells for stock. You can also place these on the skewer into a preheated 400 degree counter top oven for 6 minutes to avoid overcooking if you don't want to boil. 6 minutes always works perfectly to get juicy, bouncy, not overcooked shrimp.
Just visited Japan this year for my first international trip and I absolutely fell in love with the country, people, and cuisine. Thank you for these videos, since now they answer many questions I previously had!!
I always get the head on shrimp at costco, it's cheaper and they taste better. I think the head on keeps them fresher and the head stuff adds more flavor to the tail.
❤❤🦐Good afternoon at 4:45 am. Watching Hiro San shift and still use the ebi to make such gorgeous Ebi Nigiri was truly amazing. This was a great way to wake up and start the day. Hiro San and Charles, Happy Aloha Friday and have a greeeaaattt weekend!🤗

Could you make a really detailed deep rice video? It's so important for the quality of sushi.
You must be new here they did a couple of those videos almost ten years ago
So that's where Aku comes from...I now await Samurai Jack to show up and defeat the evil scum :D
I always bought this shrimp 🍤 made in Thailand or Indonesia the size is 13-15
Hi Mr. Hiro love your show, but Costco may not. Regards.🌶🌶🌶🍤🍤🍤
Key West Pink Gulf shrimp! Farmed shrimp taste muddy to me.
✊👍
Where is ( will it sushi ) ?? I miss the Old videos..😒😏
But.. farm raised? why?
and the white stuff is protein being boiled out
Sorry, I see where they were de veined, but you said you wanted it for good sushi?
ok so you usually de vein after its cooked
I don’t care what anybody says I’d take the shrimp and catch some fish somewhere and those and not the shrimp.
Scuzz

Never buy farm raised shrimp. You have no idea what they feed these bugs and it isn't good. Walk right by them
