The rear loco number on the Acela express is ironic. Race all the steam engines you have! :) USA union pacific header, Other USA header, British Scotsman header, British tornado header, British tank engine header, A4 pacific header-EVERYTHING!! (in an organized fashion)
Hey, I don't know if you read comments on old videos but I definitely think you should do a class 59 vs an sd40 or a class 70 vs an es44. Before you get confused on why I chose these, it's simple, the class 70 and 59 were based of their individual rivals. Definitely would be interesting

Also, the Acela Express had both pantographs up, but the pendolino didn't and still overtook the Acela. The fact that british trains have a higher speed than the American equivalent of a high speed train is just a bit embarrassing, even if it is just in train sim

In the livestream, the HHP8 actually won the race because it stopped before the Acela and the 801 finished second because it braked before acela, so Acela actually finished 3RD

If you have the European Loco & Asset Pack, do this race again but with the Class 43 HST instead of the Acela Express please. Basically Class 43 HST (in Yellow and Blue InterCity livery if you can) vs Virgin 390 Pendolino

In a straight 1 mile race yes. Because that train has excellent acceleration. If it were a 3 or 4 mile race then i think it would be alot more interesting.
