Heard the Black album when I was 11 and had to have it. Went into Record City to buy it, but came out with Load instead. Saw it on their new release wall and thought huh, might as well get the new one instead. That’s where my love for Metallica started.
Underrated? Absolutely. Heaviest? Tell me you’ve never heard The Thing That Should Not Be without telling me you’ve never heard The Thing That Should Not Be.
I love Reload. Screw all the bad reviews. Don’t know what those folks were expecting but it’s got the full flavor of Metallica the way we know them since the black album. I guess if you hated the black album, won’t be surprised that they’ll hate the two albums that followed.
@ FYI, my life started with the justice album (which is my fav anyways) and went back and then forth. Their song writing just took a slightly different turn during the nineties but yeah heavy wouldn’t be a word most ok skool fans would use but I still digged it. It was St Anger and whatever that followed that totally lost me. Couldn’t stomach Death Magnetic coz it was such a weird album. Hardwired is by far the most progressive and somewhat Metallica sounding IMHO. That new yellow album? Aeon whatever…..errrr
@ Black album, load, reload, St Anger, Magnetic and Aeon sound like hard rock, their last heavy metal album is Justice. But its ok to like hard rock , if you like light beer sometimes.
dude no way someone actually gets the tone right and actually appreciates one of metallicas most underrated albums (only beat by load). i genuinely like both load and reload more than the black album, and maybe more than master of puppets.
I was about 20 when that album came out. We called those albums Load of $h!t and $h!t Reloaded. Looking back, they weren't that bad. Especially not as bad as Lulu or St. Anger.
@ sheesh. I am patiently waiting for the new releases from ESP but I’m in love with this one, thinking to get one on my birthday in a month. They’re pretty rare though so we’ll see :) I have a Japanese E-II Eclipse model and it’s also badass, quality so good I can’t force myself to tear off the plastic stickers from control panels and trussrod cover 😂
Finally someone that appreciates reload!!
Bradley Hall appreciete it
I've been putting "Fixxxer" on repeat lately - THAT song rocks!
@CamCo55 Metallica metals YEAHHHH!!!
Even Metallica said load and reload were shit.
@jamesturkish3680 Have you even listeend to this albums?
Load and ReLoad have aged like fine wine. Loved them when they came out and still do.

Hell yeah devil's dance is amazing
Dawg that tone is fucking spot on 🤘🤘🔥🔥
Underrated? Absolutely. Heaviest?
Tell me you’ve never heard The Thing That Should Not Be without telling me you’ve never heard The Thing That Should Not Be.
The entire album is great
I still love 'Load' and 'Reload', excellent video 👌
Devils dance. Awesome.
Heaviest Metallica song is "The Thing That Should Not Be" hands down!!
Was just listening to this yesterday. It is an excellent song and one of the first on that album to grab my attention when it came out.
I love Reload. Screw all the bad reviews. Don’t know what those folks were expecting but it’s got the full flavor of Metallica the way we know them since the black album. I guess if you hated the black album, won’t be surprised that they’ll hate the two albums that followed.
Metallica stopped being Metallica at the black album. And if you think this is heavy, dont listen the 4 first album, you will wet your pants.

@ I dig both Hard Rock AND Metal all my life. Can’t use beer as an example coz I very rarely drink.
Very nice control on those bends. And the tone is perfect
Your tone is amazing.

I agree they're both incredible albums, better than everything they've released post 2000
That tone is *chef's kiss*
Load and reload absolutely destroy that album they call 72 seasons .
Of Wolf And Man is the heaviest most underrated song.
Both albums are outrageously cool.
amazing tone 🎸🤘
Great job dude...very underrated song
Reload had some killer songs as well as Load did to. Sad these two albums get so much hate.
I agree mate, there fuckern awesome hey.. people don't know music.
Deep Cut, excellent choice my friend!
Finally! Some love for Devil’s Dance 🤘🔥
The S&M version is killer too.
Always loved devils dance. Especially the s&m version
There are some cool riffs on load and reload.
love that guitar!!
Great song and nice guitar man
I've always wondered how Load and Reload would have been received if they had been produced in the same style as The Black Album.
Flawless execution 🪽 ❤
Pretty dope on S&M too!!
Awesome tone and that is a nice looking guitar 🤘
Awww yes more Load and ReLoad goodness.
Nice tone!
Yeah this song smacks!
Sounds AWESOME!
Devil's Dance is my favorite song on Reload
👍🤟💪
What is the signal chain? How did you get that tone? What model of guitar is that? Sounds awesome bro
Great video! Love that tone, what gear are you using to get it please?
@@bentravis99 The tone is all from Nolly X and the guitar ofc! The only pedals I'm using are a compressor and EQ
@@skcans thank you!
You Rock!
Any chance you would share your tone setup with us all please !!??
They really need Bob Rock or Fleming Rasmussen to come back and produce the next album.
Hell yeah brother 🤟🏿😈🤘🏿
Great tone you have there
Ohhhh this is a w Metallica song
Load & Reload are great records.
The heaviest and most underrated is struggle within
This is sooo groovy
yo. what model of EII is that? and is it straight black? i must have
It's an E-II Horizon NT Amethyst Sparkle
cool
I was about 20 when that album came out. We called those albums Load of $h!t and $h!t Reloaded. Looking back, they weren't that bad. Especially not as bad as Lulu or St. Anger.
Yeeeeees
It's a good one. Shame there's basically almost no decent-quality live recordings/video. =/
Is this song not in a dropped tuning?
Sounds great!
It's in D Standard
bro that’s a guitar I plan to buy soon, how’s it?
@@llnkv_ It's amazing! You can feel the quality when it's in your hands, blows every Ibanez and Korean made LTD I've played out of the water
@ sheesh. I am patiently waiting for the new releases from ESP but I’m in love with this one, thinking to get one on my birthday in a month. @@llnkv_ Might as well wait as they're announcing their new lineup next week but if you can find one for a good deal I'd go for it still
@@skcans well that didn’t age well haha! new lineup had zero Japanese E-II models. Will likely grab the horizon soon
@@skcans hey man, I wanted to ask are the frets stainless steel on this horizon?
Load and reload are goot albums
The heaviest Metallica song? Are we forgetting Battery?!
I am the snake!!!!
Agree. Only album I could not listen to is Lulu.
The heaviest? Not at all but it is a great song for sure.
Oh
It's definitely Metallica riff
I like the version of this song on the first Metallica S&M album. Without the orchestra, I think its boring.
The riffs are nice in this song, it’s James’ vocals that ruin it for me.
Doesn't sound like "Harvester of Sorrow"
Cmon easy stuff!!
Play ghost walking by LOG!!!
Anyone can learn someone else music!
Yngwie Malmsteen? Anyone can learn it?.... hmmmm
@
Why not? If you really want to learn and have the patience. Not everyone can learn fast but it is possible.
@@waynebruneau1134 Possible yes, likely, no. Good luck.
Load, Reload, S&M, Garage Inc, and St Anger are peak Metallica IMO.
Cool blues rock but in no way it's heavy at all.
Do you even know what heavy mean?? Lol
Pity the chorus is an average.
Master of puppets is better
That was stinky 💩
Heaviest song by them is Dyers Eve, sorry no argument there
