Iam going in two weeks. But for a day trip is it worth it if I don't hike I have kids with me and I heard the terrain is tough. Is there other activities to do and do you know if bbq is allowed

I also went there first time , this park should be kids friendly, the terrain is not bad unless u wanna do hiking off the trail ( to see a waterfall , to go to the peak ) they actually marked down the difficulty levels of each trail.
