    Hi Good video, you are obviously getting on better than me with my set up 4 kw panels with 7 kw Batteries. I have had the installation for 12 months and have been plagued with the app showing wrong information I have found the solis support very slow and not very normative I did manage to speak to Travis once who spent some time and decided I needed a new datalogger this has been fitted but no difference. Trying to get battery to charge during off peak and discharge during day but no success also it is currently showing 12.6 KW export but checking on mains meter no export one day it showed 4665 KW export . I have 3 phase and I think this may be the main problem as they have not done many 3 phase

    Yes I have a CT clamp providing grid import to the Solis app but for December the only complete month the CT gave 287kWh and my smart meter gave 305kWh.
    The Solis app seems to calculate total demand= PV yield + from grid + batt discharge - batt charge -export to grid with some of the data as whole numbers and other to 2 decimal places.
    And as PV is used this calculation includes the inverter/battery losses.
    As a comparison with previous years I am using Total Demand = net export from inverter + net import from grid
    I am not charging the batteries from the grid so any import measured by the generation meter is for the maintenance of the inverter/battery system.
    I also have a CT clamp on the mains for grid export via a SDM120CT meter.

    Hi, Great video. I am finding the Solis app appalling. Here is examples: MTD numbers do not agree with adding up the daily numbers, i.e. Self Usage on MTD is zero but I had 2kwh at least over the days. Yield for day does never agree with Generation for the day. Got Self Usage of 0.44 today between midnight and 8.00am, but no yield. So basically nothing adds up. It is a shame, and as am 200 miles away, cannot even verify if energy imported is correct. Does GlowGreen even verify if the install is working?

    The Solis application and Inverters are by no means easy to monitor. I also have a solar panel system with Solis inverter + Wifi data logger. I've tried to find out what else is needed in order to be able to see the Solis application -> the yield of the solar panels, how much has been taken from the electricity grid, how much has been consumed and how much has gone back into the electricity grid (i.e. sold). For the video, 1.50 diagrams (without the battery icon). Now what I see is the information at 0.30 of the video.

    Is there a way to set an alarm when for example your batterypack has an 75% load?

    To start my system was installed on 3 November 2023 and consists of Solis 3.6kWh hybrid inverter, 4.05kW panels and 6.4kWh batteries.
    It's very difficult to make any sense of the data that comes out of the Solis app because I can find no description of the internal connections of the inverter and where the various measurements are taken.
    The one certainty is that total yield is measured on the dc cables (from the panels) as they connect to the inverter. The only other certainty (to my mind) is that the 'generation meter' (which is not used by the app) is connected to the AC output of the inverter. In my case it is a Emlite (EAC2nZ) meter that measures export/import/difference so I can use the net export and the total yield to calculate the loss of the inverter/battery system. On 1/1/24 the total yield (from Solis app) was 240kWh and the net output was 165.7kWh (204.6 export and 38.8kWh import) which gives a loss for 58 days of 74.3kWh or 1.28kWh/day.
    This represents a loss of 30.9% which is huge, however I'm hoping that these losses are fixed so the in the summer the percentage loss will be much lower. A further point is that as the Solis app appears to use the yield figure to calculate the house demand (or load) these losses are added to the house demand, so over the year you will see your demand increase by 500kWh or more.
    So going back to my first point, until we have an accurate description of where the measurements are taken and which are used in the calculations then it is going to be difficult to make any sense of the data from the app.

    • @drchrisjbarnettgreentech
      @drchrisjbarnettgreentech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, there are a few things you can check. First does the display on the inverter show the the solar coming in and the import and export to the grid on the diagram. If not then it worth checking the T camp on the export/important in installed correctly. If the inverter is showing everything correctly then there may be a problem with the data logger set up. If you still can't find the problem it might be worth contacting Solis.
